Room small but beautiful and well designed to utilize space. Room set off from house in separate building. Quiet, private, and attractive.
The welcome = warm and helpful Location - quiet, pleasant rural views Room - clean comfortable, good shower = all just pleasant to be in.
Everything was great once we got there. Good instructions on how to find it. Breakfast great. Peaceful rural atmosphere. Nice walk to local pub for dinner.
Excellent breakfast, Really efficiently prepared and served. Unbelievably wide choice. Amazing view from the Garden Room over the Devon countryside. Heavenly peace and quiet. Oodles of hot water on tap; although we were in the annexe, it came through immediately. Sensible, simple-to-work, efficient, sturdy shower.
Parking a little tricky. Had to do a lot of manoeuvring to get into, and out of, our space. Would have been nice to have fresh, or at least well-dried, towels for our second day.
We love staying at Brambles, they are friendly hosts, there are excellent facilities and rooms, beautiful breakfasts, can't fault it,will always come back.
Pease and quiet
A little difficult to find - we had almost given up and probably would have done if dark.
The room was superb. Very comfortable bed. Hosts were fantastic and extremely helpful. Breakfast was lovely. En-suite was excellent.
Sign outside - needs to be a bit more obvious that it is Brambles B&B
View, welcoming, homely, written instructions to find it
Narrow roads to get there (no prior knowledge).
Very cute little cottage, very clean, nice atmosphere, cute garden. Alison was very friendly.
Very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast, comfortable room, in a quiet location.
Nice village with decent pub for evening meal.
Very strong manure smell from next door farm - but being in the country this is probably to be expected.
The proprietor was friendly and helpful.
The room was small and poorly decorated and no cupboards for clothes! Just a bit too basic.
Excellent B&B well worth the money. I would highly recommend the breakfast.
We loved our stay at Brambles, the room was beautiful and there were lots of lovely little touches like lots of complimentary drink sachets in the room, soap and shower gel for our use,The room was very comfortable with beautiful bedlinen. The cooked breakfust was excellent, plentiful and very well cooked.David and Alison were friendly kind and helpful at all times, and we would recommend Brambles to everyone, it is truly a delightful and comfortable place to stay!
There was nothing we disliked at all, it was a lovely experience.
Lovely scenery and pleasant host . Would come back .
Nothing to Dislike
Lovely cottage, people and great breakfast.
Peaceful and quite site, Well appointed room Very good breakfast
I stayed for one night with my young daughter. The room was extremely clean and well equipped to cater for all our needs. I found the staff extremely welcoming and the breakfast delicious. A wonderful and very pleasant experience thank you Brambles. My only disappointment was I was unable to book a further night as they were fully booked.
The lady who did the breakfasts, was very welcoming, and did everything she could to make it a positive experience. A good welcome tray. Easy parking. Within walking distance of a pub serving good food at extremely reasonable prices. Room very warm and clean. and one could easily be comfortable in the wildest storm and coldest night. Value for money - for those simply wanting a place to lay their head. Good wifi freely provided. Well located for main roads yet quietly situated.
Lack of welcome from owners. Absolutely NO privacy in the room due to two large windows, one of which overlooks the parking area. It was like being in a zoo - unless one shut the curtains - which is a shame. May I suggest some tasteful blinds. NB the curtains themselves let a lot of light in and need blackout lining. No dressing gowns. Extremely vile shower cream and the cheapest hand wash - bring your own. Poor quality garden seats - the owners could do more with their potentially lovely garden. The breakfast itself was average - the cereals of poor quality, an no fruit options. Shame really as this could be a very sweet place to stay if the above were addressed, as it's nice to have individual non chain places to stay.
Quiet country location. Pub nearby with good food. Lovely cooked breakfast. Friendly and helpful owners. Charming room in converted farm building. Directions to Brambles were good.
Room was a bit cramped. Be prepared for narrow lanes with high hedges.
