The owner was very friendly. It really felt like a home away from home. The room was comfortable and well equiped. Water was restocked daily. Very peaceful. Staff were relaxed with guests.

Booked last minute so we got a really good price on our double room for 1 night stay! Room was very nice everything was in order, bed was really comfortable. Quiet location not too bad to find . Would definitely go again:)

We had a comfortable, relaxing stay, in a strategic location, near the motorway. We couldn't hear the traffic, only bird-song. Our hostess and host were friendly, helpful, hospitable and attentive but not over- bearing. We liked our four-poster, double aspect room as it was clean, well equipped, warm, light and airy, with far-reaching views, over countryside. The 'brambles' theme was continued in the soft furnishings; all very 'country cottage'. There was an attention to detail and it was very good value for money. The Merrimeade inn, in the village served good, plain, unpretentious, honest-to-goodness 'pub grub', efficiently and promptly, with good grace. The real fire in the bar was a welcome bonus.

Our room wasn't ensuite, which we thought it would be when we booked. This wasn't a problem, really, as we did have a private bathroom, next door. The radiator in our room was a bit rattly but we turned it down and it was fine. We weren't offered breakfast but then we hadn't booked any and they were fully booked, and our host was away, when we arrived so our hostess was nobly 'holding the fort'... I couldn't adjust the mixer on the shower attachment, but that could jut have been 'me'. The only improvement I would make, personally, would be to replace the green towels with white ones that could be boil-washed. The meal at the Globe Inn was an experience but one that I would not want to repeat!

I really enjoyed my stay and it was faultless. The room was very comfortable indeed and had everything that was required. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. If I'm in the area I'll be back.

The hot water ran out fairly quickly, only enough for one shower.

The warm friendly welcome and everything about the room. Just what we needed. The recommendation of the local pub for dinner was perfect. One day we will return.

bedroom was great nice and warm tv was put on for us and the kettle had been boiled for us , plenty of tea coffee and biscuits for us .breakfast was very nice ,there also was fruit to go with cerials.

I did like the way this place is managed, nothing is to much trouble, in respect of making us feel welcome... Great place to escape the routine...

Everything was excellent...

Accommodation self-contained, warm and clean. Very comfortable bed. Car park adjacent to accommodation. Very adequate tea-making facilities. Complete control of central heating. Lamps turned on automatically in our room in the evening - very welcoming when returning in the dark,

Ideal for a get away from it all break. Set in beautiful countryside in the sticks. No street lights so bring a torch, the pub is a 15minute walk along a narrow lane. The accomadation was charming, clean and comfortable with nearly every convience thought of. Theres is little to say against it. Highly recommended

Its important you study the directions and have them to hand while on route. I found it first time, but some of the comments mentioned the difficulty. This is probably due to thinking that getting away with reading them once is ok. Keep them to hand. Bring a torch... Although we were allowed to check in early the check in times could be relaxed so check in from 2pm and check out at 11am is observed like the hotel norm. But they seemed fairly relaxed about it. Apart from that prefect......

Pleasant surroundings, easy to find just of the motorway. Welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the lovely Garden Room, which had a lovely view.A cracking breakfast to start you off for the day. All round great value for money and would highly recommend.
