눉The stairs (everywhere we've been it's almost an inevitable
problem). Fortunately, a strong employee carried both our bags like they
were filled with polystyrene foam! Since most pub hotel accommodation
involves stairs, I wonder why they don't invest in a lift - climbing
them (without a suitcase) is doable by us, but many oldies, disabled or
otherwise infirm guests really couldn't handle them.
눇Large room with a huge bathroom (with a big bath!). The young lady who
checked us in was delightful (she is emigrating to Australia next year -
the hotel will be sorry to lose her, I think!), and found us extra tea
bags (we're addicts), and apologised for the noise - the England-
Australia Rugby game was on, followed by a loud band in the pub below),
but we were so tired (and wore earplugs) we barely noticed it.
