The Brambletye Hotel enjoys the envious locality of being in Forrest Row nestling in the Ashdown Forest, so great for walkers. The Hotel looked as if it had been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The room was spacious, comfortable and warm. The full English breakfast was quite exceptional. Forrest Row has a variety of restaurants as well as being able to enjoy food at both lunch time and evening in the Hotel. I would certainly recommend this Hotel and I will be staying there again.

We arrived quite late in the evening, but we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room. Lovely very clean room, newly decorated I'd say and the bathroom was literally sparkling with fluffy white towels. We don't get away for a night very often, so it was nice to not have to pay a huge amount for basically a room for a night. Dinner was still being served, so we took advantage and had a nice homemade shepherd's pie. Lovely clean, comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. We had to leave early too and breakfast was great too. Great Value, Lovely Staff. Would recommend. Back at the room, the only thing I would moan about - and this isn't really a moan - is that there isn't a decent light on the desk/dressing table to put your slap on at 6am, but there is a full length mirror with the lobby light that is bright enough and the extractor fan in the bathroom was really loud and took for what seemed like an age to turn off! The only other thing is that the tv is on the other side of the room (room 16) and with our eyesight (!) we thought it could have been put on another wall (!), which just goes to show the size of the room (ie. Large). Be assured these things did not cause any stress or discomfort at all.

Helpful, accomodating staff. Breakfast was excellent - plain, simple, but nicely laid out, appetising appearance and finally, a good taste!

We have stayed at the Brambletye on other occasions and have never been disappointed with the food or the service from staff, however if you want a quite stay please opt for rooms at the rear of hotel on a friday- saturday nite due to the live entertainment unless you like live music. Don't get me wrong it is nice to listen to and entertaining but not when you have been travelling all day.................We will be staying here again as we think its very friendly and excellent fresh foods...

Everything was as we expected having read the reviews on Booking.com. It's good to find a hotel with a car park that's big enough for everyone who wants to use it. Like many hotels the TV reception and number of channels was rubbish. In the days of Freeview they could/should do better.

The complimentary breakfast in the morning was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Nice lively atmosphere in the pub The shower in the bathroom leaked through the curtain and soaked the floor when in use in room 4.

Much more spacious and up-to-date room than I would have expected to find in such a "quaint" hotel. It was comfortable private, and large enough to spread out, have occasional guests up to plan our outings, and do some business via inteernet. I did not take lunch or dinner at the hotel, but the breakfasts were good, hearty, and varied. When I mentioned one morning that there were a couple of light bulbs burnt out, they were replaced by lunchtime. I ended up staying 4 nights instead of the oriinal one.

Room was very spacious and clean with a huge bed and very nice bathroom. Walking distance to several pubs serving food and although we didn't eat at the hotel in the evening, the menu looked really good. The breakfast was superb.

Rooms are very spacious and clean, very nice hotel and great value for money, in general the staff are very helpful and friendly although could do with a few more smiles! Road outside can be noisy at times, really depends on the room in which you stay.

Throughout our stay the staff were very helpful. The location was perfect for us and we were surprised by how much better the room was than expected. The family room was a large suite. The photos on the site do not do the hotel justice, the whole hotel was finely furnished with a fabulous bar and restaurant. We would certainly stay again. A whole suite with 2 bedrooms and bathroom including 4 full english breakfasts for £90, Bargain!. The only one negative comment about our stay was the road noise at the front. Better sound proofing would be good for the windows as well as between floors.

This hotel is excellant value for money, The room and bathroom were spotless and the power shower was very good. The decor is very tasteful. The staff were very helpful and most welcoming. I would be more than happy to recommend this hotel to anyone. The car park is not lit at night , but this is only a minor issue .
