We were looking for somewhere close to Coventry speedway (the greyhound track) so we didnt have to find our way back into coventry at 11pm. This was a terrific spot, v.clean and comfy.
Well furnished room, comfy bed. Nice, clean, modern bathroom.Good Restaurant.Free Wifi. Unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity to use the Gym facilities
Bar prices are a bit steep.
Reception staff excellent, thank you Setting is attractive, trees and lawn, peaceful. Hotel has a small country house look, bar area nice with large windows, very pleasant stay and would definitely return.
Mattresses not firm enough for us.
Overall our stay was most enjoyable and I would recommend to friends. Rooms were small but comfortable.
Would make sure The next time I stayed to book an evening meal prior to arriving as the first available table was nine pm too late for us to eat.
Great hotel - nice spa sauna and steam room and super friendly staff :)
They didn't have decaf coffee in the bar which was a little random, but that was just a tiny issue tbh
Was a lovely place to look at on the photos.
I felt that because we used booking.com and not through them direct and was meant to get it at a reduced rate we didn't get the room that was shown to us on line so we felt it was expensive for the room we did have it was no more like the premier inn room. Very disappointed really I felt It put a damper on our weekend when your excited to what you think your getting to what you do get must be the rooms you can't seem to use.
1) Room furnishings 2) Friendly, helpful staff
1) Very noisy and thoughtless guests at 0700 hrs 2) Bathroom needs a deep clean especially around the bath and shower
Pool, food, room size, reception and bar area, breakfast, staff all fab
Could do with more biscuits and plug sockets in the room!
Clean room with access to gym and pool
No access to wifi in room. Health club not linked to hotel (walk in rain). Very noisy.
On arrival there was a problem with our room which the manager very swiftly put right even though they were dealing with a lot of check ins and a wedding going on. We got complimentary drinks for our inconvenience which was a nice touch. Room and bed was very comfortable. We went to the pool 3 times during our staff. Lovely staff and very clean lesuire centre.
Pool and leisure annex
No music in gym.
Warm welcome, comfortable room, great pool.
Only criticism would be the bedroom lighting. When asked an extra lamp was provided, but as I was on business and had some work I wanted to complete a central room light would have been better. Won't stop me staying again, but would book an exec room as apparently these have better lighting.
Great breakfast, helpful staff who coped under pressure, very good facilites
a wedding in the hotel did interfere with bar facilites for other guests
Nice grounds where kids can run around!
No air-con in dinning area, the drinks were over priced and the breakfast was very disappointing!! Plus my friends had breakfast included whilst I upgraded our room and had to pay for my breakfast! Spoke to staff about it and they did nothing!
The staff are first class, very friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is one of the best in the area, as a place to unwind it has little competition. The breakfast is always excellent with a very good choice of hot and cold food and drink. Highly recommended.
The restaurant food quality in the evenings has fallen off a cliff in recent weeks, it's hard to believe it's the same chef/s that were there 2 months ago (I'm told it is). Beer is still not chilled properly, and there are no bar snacks available (i.e. nibbles), apart from the free variety that have caustic properties in a dull effort to drive you to drink more.
Excellent breakfast plenty of variety
Shower needed regrouting had dark damp patches
Hotel was great had a lovely weekend there.
great facilities to enjoy around the hotel, had ample of space in the executive room and very clean around the pool area
Steam room was not in operation
quality deep firm bed, crisp bedding, spacious bathroom with separate shower (excellent water pressure). nice to have effective black out curtains. loved having a fridge in the room and pleased there was a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. beautiful building and grounds. gardens very well maintained. great breakfast with a good quality selection (inc 6 fresh fruit juices) and fabulous fruit salad. i'd be happy to stay again.
not really a complaint but because this room had a fridge it would have been nice to have had fresh milk instead of u.h.t. again for privilege i wouldn't expect these rooms to overlook the car park and delivery area. it didn't spoil the stay but when originally planning the layout i thought this would be a factor to consider.
Great friendly staff.
Had to wait a long time to check in. Seems like the reception should be expanded or separate people attending a function and have them check in elsewhere.
The location was ideal for us and with a large car park it was easy to park
There was a very noisy wedding going on and we could not hear the person at reception as the door from the function room was open. Fortunately, the noise was not heard from the room. There was a lot of rubbish left around, especially in the grounds in the morning, with empty glasses and beer cans strewn around. The staff referred to us as "folks" which I find unprofessional.
I paid a little extra for upgraded room for a bit more space .. excellent shower.
Requested as always, a 'high quiet room' as I'm a light sleeper. Reception staff NEVER read the requests on Bookingcoms form. I had a room opposite the blowers fro the swimming pool. Hot night not possible to open windows. Reception did not ask if my room was ok on check out and couldn't be bothered. to discuss. Whats the point of the in room quality surveys if they never read the booking requests. They also had on open view in reception a current booking for the same room I had at half the price I had just paid. Great idea.
Felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in an executive suite which was clean comfortable and spacious. We arrived early and managed to check in and then go straight to the spa. The spa was clean. We were greeted well on arrival and had every thing explained to us. There are allocated times for children which meant we could go and relax in peace. The surroundings are lovely we took a walk through the woods into the village for a drink. We had dinner in the hotel at night where we were treated well and the food was lovely. Breakfast was well worth having. We has a lively time and would definitely go back.
The reception staff are excellent, very attentive. The restaurant is well run and they always seem to provide a prompt service even at the busiest times. Lucinda deserves a special mention for her professionalism and courteous manner.
Minor gripe - but the poor mobile reception, very hard to find a signal in most parts of the hotel
From the time I checked in nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The location is beautiful and ideal for a restful and relaxing break. The rooms are incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. The layout of the hotel also affords itself to a quiet room experience perfect after a stressful week in work Will definitely be going back.
