Comfortable bed Cooked breakfast very good A ring of green mould on the wall behind the shaving mirror in the bathroom where it was pressed back against the wall and obviously not been used for some time. Noisy guests in room above 35 with child running up and down at 4 o'clock in the morning.

On arrival we were confronted by a wedding party on the steps to reception meaning that we could not check in as we could not enter the hotel. We waited outside in the snow The reception area was tiny and was overrun with wedding guests. The receptionist did not offer a table for dinner or explain where any of the facilties were just the instructions to our room. We decided to go out for the evening. Breakfast was a disappointment. We arrived about 9.20am well before the end of service at 10am. We were served tea and toast quickly but no butter. We asked for some but had to chase the request about 4 times until 15-20 minutes later it arrived by which time the toast was cold. Fruit juices were not labelled correctly - I decided to have the pineapple only to find it was grapefruit juice. We could hear that other people were getting the wrong food delivered to them, some didnt even get their order placed in the kitchen. We would have liked more tea but couldn't be bothered to wait and see if we would get any. We later found out that some members of staff were sent home sick. This should have been explained at the beginning so we could prepare ourselves for a longer than usual service. We have stayed in many hotels (including handpicked ones) but this was by far one of the poorest and was not a good experience. We did upgrade to the executive room but couldnt really see what we were paying for. The bedroom and bathroom were draughty and the chandelier in the room was too low and in the way.

The fact that you have a policy of employing 'disabled' staff. My waiter for breakfast was deaf and dumb, I think, but it was fantastic to see that he has been given an opportunity. Well done. There was a long walk to my bedroom (36) involving the use of several staircases. Had my wife been with me, she would have found it very difficult.

The staff were all so friendly. The room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. We did not go to any spa treatments as we felt they were too expensive.

Food was excellent, and rooms very clean. Bit basic in terms of facilities in the rooms - would have preferred a mini-bar considering the price of the rooms. Having to wait to be seated - as no one at the door to the restaurant, and having to ask reception for someone to assist on separate occasions. Service for evening meal was slow

It was close to the race circuit, it was very homely feeling, the staff were very helpfull. When booking this hotel the description made it sound like there was free wifi in our room but when we arrived there was only broadband in our room - useless when you have an iphone and the wifi downstairs was so weak you couldn't use it. I feel like it was falsely advertised. The room was nice but the room and pillows had an unpleasent odour, the bathroom window although bolted shut did not seal properly and let in a chilly breeze -not nice when your trying to have a shower or bath. The food was beautiful but really slow 40 mins for a bar meal and 30mins for hot chocolates!

the room, the atmosphere, the breakfast, the sauna/pool facilities. the services available to borrow dvd and games. it had the small little touches and a beautiful room. a little bit pricey, staff were a bit rude, should have been more polite. and there was no mini bar and fridge, as was promised when i booked the room.
