Staff was ok
Smelly rooms and needed to take fire staircase to access my room. Beds really uncomfortable and bathroom at no real shower
Hotel is located in town centre and easy reach of major road networks in all directions. Room was cheap and adequate for my purpose as I only wanted somewhere to sleep and shower. Bed was comfortable, albeit one thin duvet, and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was plentiful - haggis included in full breakfast.
Carpets are not the cleanest and the hotel has a feel of being tired. Decoration and ambience is minimal. Sleep disturbed frequently by guests moving in corridors (floors creaking and doors banging) as well as noise of deliveries about 6am to shops across the street - I was in front of hotel. Reception and corridors smell of smoke.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Disabled may have issues due to stairs.
Really good location. Plenty parking at back of Hotel. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Staff were nice. Breakfast was fine and service was good.
Room was very small. Shower wasn't great.
Reasonable bed and breakfast rate.
The orange glow in my room all through the night from the street light. Not having a shower. No hairdryer.
sleep ,shownwer didnt work properly dampened my only break all year
We thought the hotel could do with a bit of decoration and upgrading.
Bed was clean.
no shower in the bathroom, TV made a buzzing noise when trying to watch, room small, had breakfast on the second day tock the full breakfast could not eat it as micro special. In all I would not return and would not say to my friends . Not a straight wall in the hotel.
staff and breakfast .
Was called at 745 to ask where we were ,check in up to 10 pm .owner checked us in while eating.not professional we were at each end off the hotel and was told if i had requested to be togther on the booking i said it was both under my name but it didnt state we wanted to be close.Fire escape door held back by fire extinguishers totally useless incase of fire . .My friend had to use tradesman entrance to get to her room.Stairs and carpets are a health and saftey issuse. The cleaner was also cooking breakfast. my friend got a discount but it tottaly spoilt my weekend away aswell.wont be going back there. Shower wouldn't drain away could only shower at different times. my friend had a party going on next room when they and her 8 yr old was trying to sleep .water tank ran all night. breakfast staff trying to book us out as well as trying to serve breakfast 20 min wait to leave hotel.
- Rooms were clean - Reasonably priced - Has a bar with pool table - Friendly staff - Good location - Nice breakfast
- Rooms were a little too small but bathroom was spacious - Room could have done with a lick of paint but this is reflected in price
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff really friendly. Great little bathrooms and really clean. Right in the centre of town.
Checking out !
Dated decor with a very old smell throughout , management very unhelpful , slow service in restaurant . Chicken bone in leek and potato soup , wrong order taking to table . Supposedly family-friendly but no facilities for an 11yr old in "family room " . All in all biggest waste of £103 ever , sadly never to be seen again .
No shower in room
great staff happy to help
pillows bit to soft for me
Tracy the breakfast waitress fabulous friendly person - would be far better at the front of house location of hotel was good shame about everything else
rooms tiny - poor quality food at breakfast - unmanned reception waited ages for service.
Suitable for task
Aberfeldy and the multi-tasking waitress, the lady on reception
the room was tiny, the woman who seated us at breakfast was the rudest, most unpleasant woman we have ever encountered in the service industry
Friendly staff; excellent value.
No fresh (or otherwise!) fruit for breakfast.
Pretty run down and not very clean. No staff willing to deal with rowdy guests so no sleep !
The room was great value for money
the stair to the room was my dislike as I am not good with stairs
Our beds were clean & very comfy. breakfast was ok. 1 poor girl seems to do everything, she was very nice. Other staff have no clue about customer service. Hotel was near some lovely walks.
The hotel is quite rundown & very dirty. I had to go out & buy bleach before my mother or I would use the bathroom in our room. Our carpet was not hoovered on arrival & not done the days we were there either. Everything seems grubby.
The location of the hotel was central and good. Breakfast was okay.
Rooms were tiny. Shower head attached, to small to manoeuvre . Windows didn't open, unless jammed open..ie book . Beer terrible. Tv didn't work.no radio! Payment card facility not working.
This was the smallest double room I've ever had , don't know about swinging a cat but you couldn't get one in. The TV was ancient and hard to work. this room is not fit for purpose.
The location Friendly staff Unobtrusive Parking
Inefficiency at the front desk Entrance to bedroom was cumbersome with heavy door and yale lock
