Very good for children, plenty for them to do. For mature people, good for a base only. Well stocked supermarket.
Checking in could have been a little more clearer. Arrived at reception-no, can't check in here go to main hall and queue. Collect linen from linen shop-no, go to supermarket. Are towels provided-no, perhaps I missed that!! However the supermarket knows people are likely not to brings towels as they have white towels all pre-packed ready for you to purchase!! They don't appear to be new towels, very thin but you have no choice as we all need to wash.
The room was a disgrace mould everywhere ceiling falling down sheets ripped mattresses stained quilts stained & a bad smell in room
lots of stuff for kids to do
did request another kettle as their was a fault with the one what was there but we got by with the cooker
Did mot stay
No hot water, springs sticking out of the mattress.
Room was basic but clean and sufficient for what you paid for. Didn't really use any facilities on site for kids entertainment as plenty to do within the area, beach, leisure park next door, play zones and lots of amusement arcades. Again didn't eat on site as had a lovely restaurant across the road which did really good food at value for money. We were aware of this due to friends that live in the area
Shop on site wasn't stocked very well. Only watched the evening entertainment once, started almost an hour late and then the kids show went on for far to long with very poor acting. This could be so much better
location is great.... some of the play areas my grandsons love Sooty, the show was excellent
The state of the park overall: first impressions count! waiting in the club house to check in, no air con meant we were all very uncomfortable, especially those with young children grass overgrown around the site; especially the chalets, cigarette butts outside our chalet, from the previous guests, the floor was dirty in our chalet on arrival, food behind the furniture the play areas could be lovely but need seating areas and general maintenance, simply cleaning up the grounds! I paid a lot of money for a couple of days holiday, as the temperatures were above 30 c the chalets are just unbearable with no fans or air con, I was forced to sleep on a childs bed, as we only had 1 bedroom between us: myself, my adult daughter and her 2 children. I expected 2 bedrooms
Enjoyed the free entertainment
Dodgy electrics, cooker wasn't working, dirt and grime everywhere had to bleach everything myself
The room was filthy, dirty floors, it had not been cleaned as there was underwear from the previous occupier left behind. The two single beds that were separate one was soaking wet and the other had springs coming out. The bunk des we're falling apart there was filthy stains up the paneling by the window. The pull out bed was filthy and rock hard. We complained to the reception and all we got from a blonde receptionist was "oh sorry!!!!" We complained further and was told that we had to complain to the duty manager which we did on the last day and he said we have to write to hr as he can not deal with it, the hole place was a joke. The vic pub were you get breakfast from was disgusting and extremely dirty staff wearing jeans, tables filthy food un fit to serve, no organisation at all. Chef had to come out and sort the till out as the front of house staff did not have a clue, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Thank god it was not our main holiday for the year as this review would be more like ten pages long! A very very disappointing break that I will be writing further to hr to seek an explanation as to why this place has not been closed down by environmental health and the food standards agency!
Staff where very friendly and helpful
Chalet was filthy when we got there bits all over the floor, cups, plates and cutlery was not washed correctly and probably not checked by cleaning staff. Microwave had dust and dirt all over it. ceiling had some king of kids playgel on it and not cleaned of also must of killed some bug on there as blood and guts squashed onto it. Toilet was not cleaned very well and skylight had never been dusted and spiders webs in it also took photo of skylight spider which we have now found out to be a false widow spider. Chalet front windows inside had cobwebs all over them. chairs still had sand on them from previous tenents and hairs. Leaflet given to us stated no litter or fag ends to be on floor outside of chalet they obviously dont bother about this as there was loads of rubbish. on the whole thought we would try pontins as never stayed there before unfortunatly we could of stayed in a 4 star hotel for the same price and it would have been luxury, instead we found it a site which we will never use again and would not reccomend and for the price extremely dissapointed. And the cleaners need a lesson in how to clean and dust not just to attempt to clean up. Very very dissopointed and pics we took of the chalet would look good to any health and safety person.
all except rain
Everything food and accomodtaion
location, good entertainment, gocarts, scatepark adventureland, great for little ones.If you like a vintage feel of stepping back in time, with a vintage chalet i enjoyed our stay and a holiday is what you make it. loads to do at brean lesiure park which is next door.
The rubbish everywhere.
The prices of thing 1£ for ten mins on children's play things
We asked for close to amenities as guest in wheel chair they out us first floor. Pathways terrible not suitable for wheel chair. Dirty and smelly apartment, rubbish everywhere outside , dirty swimming pool, dirty shop. I usually trust booking.com for standard of accommodation never again.
Our apartment was lovely. Recently refurbished. Play parks are awesome for the kids. All the staff we had contact with were lovely, the chap in charge of the trampolines was lovely to our 2yr old who was being particularly boisterous. Our eldest loved the go carts and the peddle carts (extra cost for trampoline and carts)
We had half board. The food quality was cheap and nasty. My kids did love the sausages and burgers. Adults were fighting over the desserts (which were nice if you could get any). The evening entertainment was impossible to get a seat at as people were reserving huge areas for absent friends. The lady in the indoor play area was miserable and rude and clearly did not like children.
Children's pool. Gokats etc. Walk to beach.
Rubbish on ground. Cigarette ends. Sloppy staff picking up rubbish, or supposed to be!
Location was great , pointins are spending alot of money trying to make it look good and accommodation still is not great but they have been spending money on improvements . the place is getting better every year. We did not take any children this year but the kids was having so much fun. pointins blue coats need so much credit for what they where doing with the kids A* for kids entertainment .......
Price of drinks at the bar are expensive. you are better off having a drink in accommodation before you go out. Much cheaper night.
Not a lot
Disorganized disfunctunal neglected run down food looked disgusting
The accommodation we had was amazing, this was the first time ive taken my 3 children at on my own and I felt so safe and secure all the time, they loved the swimming and play areas.
The floor in the chalet could of done with a mop and also perhaps make sure that underneath the beds and sofa is hoovered.
son liked the skate park
All of it it was not worth the money, dirty place, things going wrong, staff wasnt that helpful, the whole place was littered with rubbish, wouldnt recommend this to anyone!!!!
good entertainment.food in restaurant was nice. chalet basic but adequate.could do with better sofa beds.
The beach and other attractions
Pontins site was dirty and polluted, the room was unclean the cold tap did not work, the smoke alarm went off for no reason at 12:40 in the middle of the night which scared us all including my 4 year old, horrible stay at pontins all together.
Dirty Rooms Dirty Windows Terrible beds Fag Butt City RAF People
chalet old and very tired.sofa bed broken.whole site looks very tired,a bulldozer might help.
