Wi fi was a bit hit and miss of an evening, unfortunately boiler was under repair and water was only lukewarm but we were advised of this as soon as we arrivedand due to easter break it made it hard for hotel to get it sorted immediately , not really there fault.
Ideal location , good base to travel from. Excellent service , rooms cleaned every day, could come and go as we pleased. Tea making facilities, tv, wi fi
The WIFI was marked as Low due to logging in with the Passcode provided in the room didn't work. Booking was confirmed with Bookings.com, however the Hotel did not have a booking for us, we were lucky that they still had a room available, a little stressful when arriving late in the day, with no booking, problem with booking.com not hotel, as received conformation with booking.com.
The Comfort of the Beds, and the friendly staff (Dog included)
Location, view, ease of getting to other places, food
The hotel had no knowledge of my booking despite conformation from booking.com. They did have a spare room and apologiesed and I was able to stay. The room smelt stuffy and the double bed was two single pushed together.
Mould on shower curtain and mould around bath, broken sink glued back together. TV very few channels needed update.
We had booked a twin bedded room but we were given a disabled double bedded room which was unsuitable. We were told it was possible to change rooms as there were no other rooms available. Very disappointin. We had booked months in advance so there is no excuse for not being given the correct room. I'm afraid that will be our last visit.
I had booked a double room as a single traveller, but was made to pay an extra £10 for a room with a double bed by somebody who seemed more interested in carrying on her conversation with someone else that worrying about my petty gripes. Also the bed clothes were sheets and blankets. Perhaps also minor point is that there was no safe in the room, which I would normally expect for a £70 off-season hotel room.
The pub is nice and friendly and everywhere is clean. There is also a good sized car park and it is easy enough to find. The room was acceptable as was the bathroom, shower etc.
No phone signal
Good size room
I think at £70 per night the breadkast should have been included in the rate in common with Holiday Inn Express and other similar hotels
We liked the location, just off Junction 22 of the M5, good, clean well equipped rooms. Superb, reasonably priced dinner in the restaurant
It was all good
Staff were indifferent and unhelpful. I asked a number of questions which were met with abrupt answers. Couldn't add drinks and meal to room tab, no service at all at breakfast so didn't stop. Traffic a little noisy.
Very convenient situation, room was large and comfortable
would have preferred the rooms to overlook the back car park rather than the main road
ease of access from M5 & size of bedroom
The wait in reception for someone to attend to us. The restaurant was busy, but twice I had to go and find or approach staff so as to book in. The journey was not long, but waiting for nearly 10 minutes is a bit too long.
The room and facilities were very good. The food very tasty, hot and plentiful.
Lift access, good sized room, restaurant.
No one on reception after the pub closed and on departure at 06:30 Ran out of toilet roll and no spares in the room.
Food and bar great. Room big and clean
The rain on the last day.
The staff could not do enough to help us, and the food and accommodation was excellent, for the purpose of our stay we could not fault it. We have already past on the location to friends.
No welcome at reception Poor Wi Fi Dirty towels Noisy busy road-old windows not soundproof
Food, home cooked? Food was at letdown, bread roll with burger was so dry it fell apart when attempting to pick it up.
Everything, the staff, accommodation, value for money and also the food in the restaurant
Clean comfortable accommodation with good food and drink selection. Friendly staff, excellent service and lovely welcoming atmosphere.
The odd 'U'-turn off the carriageway into the car-park from the M5 junction took a little getting used to... but otherwise all brilliant. Thankyou.
The room was huge and immaculately kept. The TV received about 600 channels... The bar staff were friendly and accommodating... and the choice of real ales was remarkable. Didn't use it, but a great kids play area too.
Staff getting a simple sandwich wrong. Tried passing off granary as whole meal,Peppers slimy & lettuce limp & brown round edges. Wasn't offered any refund.
Room clean & nicely decorated.
The bathroom wasn't clean at all. Mold all around the bath which is discusting! Need to clean better.
Food was excellent! And a comfy good nights sleep.
The front, outside tables suffered from the noisy road.
I knew this place forty years ago when it was a local pub. The improvements are spectacular. The staff were young but confident, pleasant and extremely helpful. I visit somerset quite a bit and this would be the first place I would look for when rebooking.
