access to city centre. good food and very pleasant friendly service. Very well preented room and en-suite. Brilliant shower. Very quiet location. towels did not need to be changed every day. It was very nice but we would have been just as happy if we had had th option to leave towels in wsh basin if we wanted them changed. |

This was an excellent guest house within walking distance of the centre of York. It was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. My only minor citicism was that the room, though very well appointed, was very small - you had to be very tidy to avoid falling over your things. |

I was told that the room included private facilities but found that my own shower facility was situated two floors down. Yes I did feel cheated!! |

It was so pleasant...rooms small but beautfiully done and very English country....wonderful little tea room....very near all of the historical attractions of York. And, obviously family owned with a great deal of pride taken in how they treat guests. Highly recommend it. |

Due to road holdups the late bookin facility was excellent.Very friendly helpful Staff. Excellent breakfast. We were visiting with our student grandson and as couples had taken tables meant for 4 he had no alternative but to sit alone at breakfast, which was embarrasing for him and upsetting for us. |
