A delightful, homely b&b where the proprietors made you feel totally relaxed and at home! Standards of cleanliness were excellent and the room was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. The cooked breakfast was delicious , all in all I can not fault this lovely family run b&b . A very minor point but this property is just down the road from York city football ground and on one of the evenings we stayed, there was a match on. There was no trouble as such but it was pretty noisy before, during and after the match for a while.

A quiet guest house just 10 minutes walk into the City centre. Friendly owners cooking and serving an excellent breakfast of your choice. Parking permits provided. Well maintained and an organised set up with the little touches that make a positive difference. I would stay here again.

Brentwood Guest House's staff were most welcoming. The Guest House was in a very quiet area of York, the room comfortable and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was enormous, I asked for a smaller portion on our second morning! Excellent free WiFi, best reception I've ever experienced. To be recommended.

Actually, the location is good, this guest house is not so far from the centre of York. The information wrote on the website is 15 minutes far from the York minster but I think it's only 10 mins. The room is not so big but very clean, cossy, and confortable than I expected. And here also offer some useful stuff such as wipe tissue. The distance to centre is almost same as other hotels so I think this one is good choice for traveller. And the staff are so nice, during the breakfast time, they'd like to chat with you and give you some suggestions about your trip.

Comfortable room, comfortable beds. 10 minute walk to the town and shops, car parked in quiet residential street with a parking permit in windscreen courtesy of the guest house. Breakfast was good.

On arrival the staff were very friendly and throughout our stay they remained friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely, couldn't fault it. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful B&B situated on a quiet street but only a 10 min stroll into York. It was close enough to come back to to change for an evening out We had room 2 which was spacious, comfortable and clean with a lovely en suite. As well as the usual shower and hand gel I loved the extra touches of makeup remover and body cream. Our host Natalie was friendly and full of excellent recommendations for eating out which come from personal experience and are well founded. Breakfast was great, with lots of choice and freshly prepared (they get their boiled eggs spot on!) All in all it was a cracking little B&B, and we would definitely return and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit York.

Everything. Even being near a football ground with 3,000 football fans in attendance, we felt safe and secure and that didn't mar our weekend at all. The breakfast was excellent (and the service at breakfast was prompt and friendly), the room was clean, well decorated and had a wonderful shower in it and the landlady was polite, informative and couldn't do enough for us. If I go to York again I will certainly stay here. There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the Brentwood Guest House.

Friendly, comfortable, clean, nice room, lovely breakfast and a reasonable price. Having to arrive between 10 and 2.00 was abit of a pain - we couldn`t so had to phone to arrange. All worked out well but seemed an unnecessary complication..

The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. We were in room 2 which is on the ground floor at the front of the building. It was very quiet. I am not good at walking as I have problems with my knee but I managed the walk intoYork centre, it was on a straight road with no hills, it took about 15 mins. The breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice.

One very nice place , easy parking , Staff most helpful and clearly understand who the customer is. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of cererals , fruit juices and also full english if required and well cooked. We will stay here again as good location , 15mins walk into the centre and the railway musuem with plenty of pubs about !

Staff efficient and friendly. Room lovely. A little on the cosy side but did the job as out in the city most of the time. I guess I would have loved a bath as well as a shower but the shower was good.

We really enjoyed our stay here, this was our second visit to Brentwood Guest House and on both occasions we have been more than happy with the services provided. The guest house is cosy, comforting and the staff are very welcoming and friendly and make you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, just the right size for a one or two night stay. The staff are very helpful when we arrive and ask if we need any help with directions around the city etc. The complimentary breakfast included is also a great start to the day! I would definately recommend staying here to anyone!

Very clean and well organised b&B. 10Min walk to the city center. On street parking (permit supplied by the guesthouse) and quiet area. Our room looked recently renovated and modern. Can't remember if it was mentioned on the website before we booked but there is a (small) surcharge if you pay by credit card. It is mentioned in the room when you get there. So either pay cash or by uk debit card to avoid the charge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brentwood and would certainly reccommend it to friends.The owner (staff) were very friendly, helpful and nothing seemed to be to much trouble.The room if anything was a liitle bit small but both room and ensuite were spotlessly clean on our arrival and to return back to each day. Breakfast was delicious and very well organised. If we return to York we would not hesitate to stay at the Brentwood again Geoff

The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were very good. Plenty selection and well presented. Rooms very small particularly Room 8. En suite facilities good but looked like everything had been "shoe-horned" in. Beds comfortable. Our first experience of b & b and unlikely to be repeated due to lack of space.

Our hostess Natalie was a delight, very helpful and friendly. She even helped carry our bags to the room! The room was luxurious with lovely touches like hand lotion and shower gel, a surprise in a B and B at the lower end of the price scale. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious and we were able to leave our car in the permit parking for the rest of the day, very useful. A completely positive experience - I highly recommend this guest house and would definitely stay here again.

It was great to leave the car and walk everywhere. In 15 minutes you were in the city centre.The room was comfortable with all that I needed. The owners/staff were friendly and breakfast plentiful.

The Brentwood was a very customer service oriented b&B. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can whole heartedly give my endorsement and recommendation. Great location, great services and wonderful staff. Have no complaints about the Brentwood. All expectations were met or exceeded.
