The friendly guy at reception was very welcoming. They accommodated are needs as we were arriving late after a night out. Comfy beds. Clean and traditional. Lively breakfast, professional hard working staff. And good value for money. Our room was very warm, a minor thing.

Good value for money.Dinner menu gave a goood choice of food with generous portions.Service was excellent at all times. Good wine list with reasonable mark-ups.. Bathroom fittings and lighting a little dated. Some menu items a bit '1960s'...E.G. Prawn cocktail, duck in a sweet cherry sauce. Bed headboard was loose and screws had come away from the wood. Extractor fan in bathroom did not function...but not major problems.

Beautiful setting on the Green. Pleasant old world venue both inside and out. Spacious bedroom. Clean and well maintained. Good menu. Well prepared and presented food. Friendly and efficient service. Whilst our bedroom had a bath, it would have been helpful to have had a shower facility. This may have been available in other rooms.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the country. It is lovely loving place but I think it is now in need of a makeover in the bedrooms. Apart from that it is a great place to stay.

The great location; excellent staff and good food. Very high standard of cleanliness in the room and bathroom. Convenient parking.. Good ole English hotel tradition of not providing enough shelf space in the bathroom for personal toilet items.

The service, when dining was very good. They only had two single beds which was fine as it was a late booking but the beds were rather hard!

1. The Location of The Brickwall Hotel was ideal for exploring the area of Sussex and Kent. 2.The Brickwall was a comfortable clean hotel with 'Old World' Charm in a lovely rural setting. 3. The staff were friendly, efficient and accomodating. 4. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choice. 1. We only had a bath in our room and I would have liked a shower. 2. The uneven sloping floor in our room (Room 3), whilst initially a novel element, did become a little frustrating after a week, especially with items rolling off the table. 3. We would have liked to have eaten our evening meals at the hotel, but the cost of evening meals was prohibitive and would have taken us completely over budget had we eaten in every night. Therefore we took to eating at the local pub opposite.

The ambiance, quality of accomodation and food, were excellent. The staff were helpful and courteous at all times. The hotel is a nice place to relax and unwind. The small village within which it is located is beautiful with some really nice period buildings. All in all an excellent place to stay with a very reasonable rate. Some of the plumbing fittings were not up to scratch but serviceable.

Lovely location, helpful staff and excellent evening meal. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night. Not so much a dislike - the bathroom could benefit from updating, but it was very clean.

S ervice extremely good and staff very welcoming.Food good, although the toast served with my pate starter should not have been made with plastic sliced white bread!Otherwise, I enjoyed every meal immensley. My only criticism is about the positioning of the loo roll holder in the ladies loo on the ground floor! It is impossible to reach whilst seated on the toilet! I can only assume it was fitted by a man with no imagination.
