Clean ,comfortable and warm. Nice entrance hall and reception. Plenty of parking.
Check out time is 10am which was very early for our needs.
Worn carpets, thread bare. Flaking wall paper, Patched up wall holes Looked like a room forgotten in the 80's, falling apart Sink in the room? Common!
The staff were really helpful, and even found and posted a toy we left behind. It was nice having proper twin beds in the family room.
Very small shower area in family room.
Comfortable, basic B&B, very close to train station 5-10 minute walk, easy to find, owner perfectly pleasant and helpful did not mind looking after my bags for the day. Don't expect the Ritz, but the rooms are fine if looking a little run down, shower was good, WiFi worked great Bed was comfy. No Thrills no nonsense B&B
Nothing really Got woken up as the radiator clicked on in the morning and it is by a main road so if you are a light sleeper you may get woken up early, but nothing big. Only downer was I had to leave early so there was no time for Breakfast which is served from 7:30am.
Very lovely and helpful staff. The bedroom cleanness was fine. 8 mins walk to Cambridge station. Less than 2 mins to supermarkets and cineworld. Safe area and safe accommodation as it runs by a family. 30-40 mins walk to sightseeings and landmarks. Wifi is too weak. I couldn't connect using hotel wifi. I had comfortable stay overall.
Bathroom and towels were not clean. I recommend you taking your own towel if staying here. No iron facilities. No hair dryer. I couldn't find anything cheaper than £90 per night close to station but I think it was too much for a night. There is no working desk which would be a problem for business purpose stay.
Clean and comfortable. Good sized rooms. Welcoming staff. Good location, just outside city centre. Close to railway station. Very frequent bus service into city centre. Good breakfast.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The mattress was solid and comfortable. The bathroom was impressive The room was very quiet, providing a good athmosfere. Back garden a plus in sunny weather.
Mind the step as you walk in the front door
The room was very small, but the good thing is the toilet in side room not sharing
If you want somewhere close to the city, with friendly staff and a roof over your head this is the place for you. If you want more mod-cons then spend more... this place is cheaper for a reason.
Staff were polite & helpful, the room was clean and the location was good.
The room was noisy at night because the water tank was in the bathroom. It was only partly screened and not soundproofed.
Ihave stayed here for 5 nights for 4 consecutive years. The location is excellent and it suits my purpose. he owners are very friendly and the breakfast is good.
Good breakfast, pretty good location
No facecloths or tissues in bathroom, no clock in room. Very old decor in room in tatty condition. Comfortable enough but not really worth £90 a night
Relatively cheap for Cambridge. Location suited me but is a 15 to 20 minute walk from town centre.
Aged decor. Room not really clean - I dropped a small item and had to look closely on the floor. Under the bed and wardrobe had not been cleaned for some time. Bathroom was small but functional. No blackout curtains. Transmitted noise from plumbing of other rooms.
beds very comfortable and the room well fitted out. Good location.
the bathroom in room 12 needs a serious update - exposed pipes, cracked floor tiles and dirty cement work. The door doesn't fit and close properly!
Being old building so elevator.. Stairs are difficult for big bags transfer
Clean Good position not far frim city center. The bus stop is just opposite. Very kind and helpful staff. Cinema, supermarket and restaurant just on the corner.
Wifi is good in the hall but weak in the rooms. They must improve it.
The decor in the bedroom was pleasant and the bed was quite comfortable. Room at the back of the hotel which meant you couldnt hear the traffic. Really close to the city centre so good value for money.
If you want somewhere to just put your head down for a few hours then this hotel is fine, but I wouldnt stay for a holiday. It seems to be used mainly by business men and trades men. The cleanliness was alright apart from the toothpick on the floor in the bathroom. The decor in the main hotel areas is dark and old fashioned.
Good wifi. 1/2 hour walk to city centre. Close to station. Staff friendly.
A bit dated, needs painting. Shower not very hot in the morning.
good breakfast with good choice
area buses easy to get two staff very helpfull
pillows sink in beedroom no privacy when doing teeth or wash in front of friend
nothing special, working wifi
only late checkin, rather run down location
Small and cozy with friendly staff.
Noisy traffic as we were on the ground floor.
Its a clean simple place with small rooms, if that is all you want. Fairly convenient for the station.
Seems over priced for what you get. Breakfast was extra and payable by cash. Old fashioned décor and nothing but a place to sleep
