When we arrived we were greeted by the male owner who declared he didn't have our booking. This caused some alarm until we realised he was looking at the wrong day. At breakfast the cooked full English was average at best. We asked for ketchup and brown sauce and felt as if we were imposing. The toast was served to our table in a basket, which another guest (who we didn't know) dug around in with his bare hands before our plates were brought in. When I asked if I could have fresh toast, the owner questioned why and huffed and puffed on his way out the door, it was all alot of trouble. I don't mind sharing a table with other guests, but expect my own food that they haven't touched.
More milk in the room itself would've been nice as only enough was provided for 3 cups, so for 2 people not enough.
The free WiFi doesn't pick up the signal very well, I had to stand on the landing to use it.
The room was airy and very comfortable, nice king size bed which we slept very comfortably in. The room and bathroom were very clean and the towels were good quality. Shampoos and body lotion provided were full size, not fiddly sample packets. House and grounds were lovely and peaceful, nice to wake up to birdsong.
