Very competent and friendly staff, feels like home, excellent chef, special arragements when entertaining friends were welcome, tea making facilities, train station on doorstep but no noises from trains, ideal for B'ham city center trips trainservice on weekends esp. Sundays sparce, no direct line to NEC/Int. Airport (change at Moor Street, walk 3 min to New Street) but this does not relate to the hotel as such Also there is a bus from Acocks Green center, about 10 min walk and taxis affordable at night (10 to 15 GBP one way) |

Easy parking, comfortable room, good food, helpful and courteus staff. Some sort of staff party was in progress when we arrived and the music was uncomfortably loud, otherwise everything was fine. |

Staff were helpful when asked. Meal was nice and room was clean and comfortable. Did not have breakfast as planned but there was no problem removing the charge from the bill. The only thing I did notice was the fact you could hear people talking in the bedroom next door. It was not a problem on the night but could be very annoying if they talked on late into the evening. (The person was on the telephone and not talking in a raised voice). |

very accessible to the NEC and the transit was readily available. Clean, neat and tidy, the hotel was wonderful Only the bill. We were hit with £23 for one breakfast! When we signed up we were advised that there would be an addtional charge of £6. This came as quite a shock! |

had the place to myself, as they were closing down the restaurant / kitchen / bar and most of the rooms for up-grades. Reception did give a pub as an alternative for the evening. As listed above, with addition of no breakfast prior to leaving, although this was not booked in advance it is normally expected, a note of these restricted services would have helped with choice of hotel at time of booking. |
