Proximity to motorway on the way to the airport. Sunny east facing room made our morning!
Bathroom could be better but for a 3* hotel I guess it was OK.
Very old fashion,
Staff. Bar. Restaurant.
Freezing cold room. Cold bar area. Cold restaurant area. Horrendous view in "upgrade" room". Loads of stairs "up and down", and same in room 32. Thankfully, I reasonably fit.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room.
Food not the best we've ever had. Microwaved burger bun was not very good.
The reception was friendly and helpful.
No WiFi (a must for me anymore at any hotel) Hotel rooms very small and not particularly very well renuvated. Heating units were loud at night and kicked on at weird intervals, even when switched off. Thin walls, I could easily hear my neighbours at night. Upon arrival, the laundry was simply sitting on the stairwell, apparently waiting to be picked up.
Shower not working properly and nobody available to fix it at the weekend
going up the steps no lift shower too small
management had very bad attitude. breakfast undercooked tea and coffee was served warm over charged on drinks at bar one price one day higher the next for same drinks. bar staff did not have a clue what they were doing ie did not now how to use cash till so was forced to put on tab...then they had the nerve to over charge on drinks. cielling on balcony falling down badley rotton. there was also lots of rubbish on ground on side of room this looked as if it had been there a while.
Value for money. Pleasant staff. Near to nice walk and pub. .
Staff were very helpful
The shower was just a trickle
The excellent breakfast and the free Wi fi. also good value for money.
No bad experience but a couple of little things to point out. 1 Lack of wardrobe space. 2 Ironing board could have been useful but unfortunately the cover was unusable.
Comfortable accommodation and good value for money. Especially the breakfast!!
Everything was brilliant..
Adequate facilities in the room incl. an ironing board. Staff helpful and friendly. Convenient for M25 yet a quiet setting.
The room looked a little tired and the bedside light didn't work so lighting was all or nothing. No wifi in rooms but cable connection for laptop was good.
Parking facility, good staff, quite clean room
Lack of a lift, narrow hall, dirty old carpet, peeling paint work in the bedroom, broken reading light. Very noisy air cinditioning
It was convenient for staying a night near to relatives Cooked breakfast was served up quickly and was tasty
It was a bit old fashioned and in need of a spruce up. Shower was feeble
No hassle to book at last minute , it was just somewhere to rest for a couple of hours, which was welcome .
No fridge in the room , but not totally necessary on our short stay .
beds convenient location clean price
they hide the towels and tea in a draw! no guide on the tv morning receptionist - brisk small staircases
shower had weak water pressure. Sink had separate taps, needed a mixer tap.
Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast reasonably priced
On our first morning I didn;t want breakfast but while sitting in the lounge waiting for my husband I decided I'd like a coffee. Went into the restaurant, told the staff I hadn't booked breakfast but would like a coffee and they told me to help myself. I thought I'd pay for it with my bill. The receptionist called across the lounge to me that because I hadn't booked breakfast I wasn't entitled to coffee. I said I'd be happy to pay but her reply was words to the effect 'don't worry about it.' Would have been nicer if she hadn't called across the lounge and if she'd mentioned it quietly as I was paying the bill. Need for more receptionist training I think.
The beds are comfortable, the room warm and the staff helpful.
The showers have very low headroom for tall people and the force of water was variable, to say the least!
bed was hard
Nothing was too much trouble. The hairdryer in the room did not work and the staff went out of their way to provide one. The breakfasts were very good.
Friendly staff and good food, rooms nice and clean
The (single) room was warm as you could adjust the heating on the wall, there was also a nice tv, the shower was good also
The window of the room looked out onto a ditch where there was rubbish/old parts thrown. There also wasn't enough bedding for a winter stay, and the hair drier in the drawer was one that stayed attached and you had to hold the button down on your hand for it to work. The room was pokey like a university room, and it was pretty basic. There were also lots of strange midges flying around in the hotel, a few of which were floating dead in the toilet bowl.
