Location is probably the hotels greatest asset and also its downfall. Staff where friendly and very diligent Breakfast was good! Great eggs and a fab menu.
It cost £100 for a twin room and I think that its terrible value for money. The room was ok, clean with a warm shower. I'd expect to pay £65 max for B&B for this room not £100. Had dinner and it was well over priced badly cooked and basically a disappointment. Finally there was no atmosphere at all. Seems to me that due to the hotels proximity to the WHW they don't really need to make an effort. Sad because it could be amazing with cosy open fires, nice quality rooms, a great atmosphere and awesome food... If it did then £100 for a twin room would be perfect.
The staff- Food - Location
Toilet handle didn,t work properly Bulb broken in table lamp (Didn,t feel the need to report it)
Location food bar and a good bed
Room was a good size for our one night, very comfortable and quiet so we enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. Very cozy and welcoming bar area to relax in after a long drive.
I was a little disappointed in the Gluten Free options available to me at breakfast despite being assured at check in that it would be no problem at all. Unfortunately the staff on at breakfast had not been pre warned of my needs and took some time to locate the GF bread for my toast, bacon, tomato and mushroom. Not really a full cooked breakfast and a GF cereal option would have been nice.
The location of the hotel was excellent for our purposes, which was to break up a long drive from home to Uig on Skye. Our facilities were spot on and the food in the restaurant was both excellent and good value for money. The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming.
Drinks were a tad expensive and a bottle of "ordinary" wine was extortionate.
Location , staff , room , food - what was not to like , all good to very good . Warm welcome , helpful , polite staff lovely bar and food .Would definitely use again .
Breakfast was excellent and the staff are friendly
The lodges were lovely, close to the river
Fantastic room, superb food, wood burning stove, friendly staff. Iconic hotel on the A82 full of history.
Room overlooking river with decking to sit on. Fabulous walks all around. Bar and restaurant are both excellent. Staff very friendly. Rooms are fresh and well decorated with lots of 'extras'.
Basically everything: stunning location, nice hotel, good food, friendly staff, residents lounge and nice bar with fireplace, in case the weather is not suitable for hiking, rooms with a great view of the river of Orchy....
Nothing, this was just perfect
Really helpfull staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful location
Scenery is out of this world
Beds are like lying on a brick with 2 bricks for pillows
Accomodation, Location, Excellent Chef, and Front of House Management Team
Every thing was fine
No wifi in rooms
staff dress code - female black jeans ? serving in the restaurant not a good look
Welcome and introduction Location Cleanliness Superb breakfast Excellent evening meal
We booked an overnight stay at short notice and were lucky enough upgraded to one of the garden view rooms which made the trip even better. The room was excellent, very clean, warm and comfortable. We are already planning another visit to one of our very favourite places.
Main hotel very comfortable in bar area. Excellent breakfast.
New outside supposedly superior room. Nice decor but poorly finished blocked shower drain and drooping shower head. Very hot like sleeping in a fancy garden shed, extremely noisy with wind and rain. Not a good nights sleep.
The room was really clean, staff were helpful and location was perfect.
Based on the chalet. No PowerPoint near bed. Drying area for clothes is a good idea, could have done with the heat on or at least adjustable by the customer. Light goes off in bathroom when you are in the shower. You need to wave arms above the shower to keep the lights on. All of these are minor issues. I love the hotel but £100 for a room (single occupancy) is over the top! For that price I would expect a little better.
Really liked the rooms, very comfortable, clean and modern, staff were very nice and very helpful especially young redish haired young man, he stood out for us ,helped us find our room,in the restaurant at night he served us and at breakfast he made a point of saying good morning
The breakfast, scrambled eggs? No clean tables, but we were asked if we would like to go through to other dining room.no glasses for orange juice, no orange juice, only wi fi in the bar
We have visited the UK a number of times and The Bridge of Orchy is without a doubt the best in accommodation, meals, helpfulness of staff. Nadia the manageress is doing a wonderful job. We recommend this place to anyone from Downunder. Anthony. Christchurch New Zealand
Friendly welcome, excellent cosy but spacious room with lovely little treats to make stay all the more enjoyable. Quality of food at dinner and breakfast excellent with fantastic friendly service.
The fact that we couldn't stay longer!
