The views, the bedroom and bathroom, the food, the hill walking on your doorstep, the sound of the river throughout the night, and the attention to detail from all the staff. Excellent.
The gap between the pushed together beds, although joined at the base, there's nothing more infuriating and likely to disturb an otherwise good nights sleep, than a grand canyon size gap between the mattresses.
The whole stay was wonderful. The manager was welcoming, friendly and very likeable. The staff were all ultimate professionals and nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. The location and views were stunning. The food was on par with a top restaurant. Beautifully presented and tasted excellent. Wished we could of stayed longer.
The only downside was the Internet connection was poor.
Quality of food and service
A pity that my request for our "usual" room was not answered.
Great accommodation looking out over countryside, sliding doors opening onto decking. Stylish decor and fabulous location.
The bed - was two singles put together very frustrating due to gap in middle.
Staff were very helpful and keen to please
I was looking for a one night stop off to break up my journey to NW Scotland for holiday, this offered the perfect solution offering comfort, reasonable price and friendly, professional staff all in a beautiful setting. My grandson particularly liked the little treats waiting for him when he went in the room. I would certainly stay there again.
I can't say there was anything to dislike.
The most glorious setting - our room overlooked the river and the bridge. Fantastic for walks, very comfortable, boutique chic room. Perfect for relaxing.
Breakfast was lovely but didn't like restaurant menu. We don't eat meat and only some fish and were very restricted. Quality of what we did order wasn't great. Staff were so lovely but clearly not enough of them and they were struggling - not their fault.
Location was perfect Staff was exceptionally nice
Bed was like cement, could use a mattress topper
This is the 4th time we have stayed at Bridge of Orchy, each time before we have loved it, but sadly this time we were disappointed - the food was not up to the usual standard.
Staff were very friendly. Food and drink were excellent.
Noise of generator in the backyard very early in the morning.
We were only there for one night but loved it. We stayed in the rooms out back with a great view of the river and mountains. Food was excellent
None of the staff we meet were locals and for visitors in this area I think that it is important
Leaving and getting the whole of our money back for our stay. Restaurant food good.
Corridor carpets filthy. "Wide screen"TV a mere 15ins. by 9ins!! Room size small - not as expected from description. Staff (except manageress and one breakfast waiter) very surley. Receptionist on arrival surley. No beer available.
We arrived at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel after a very wet day walking the WHW. Our room was warm, the bed was extremely comfortable, and nice toiletries were included. The meals were also very good. And the location was excellent of course.
There were no drying facilities, and I felt the hotel was a bit overpriced.
Friendly staff. Breakfast good.
Not being on a walking holiday this hotel was just not where I would choose to stay again. Could be cleaner in public areas and some parts of room.
views and location we excellent
the quality of the food was not what you would have expected for a Scottish hotel the portions were not that of a adult more like a child's and breakfast was not much better very disappointed
Food and service was excellent. We were well looked after.
Liked the room, food and friendly staff
Lack of air conditioning - but it was the hottest day of the Scottish summer
The staff and standard of service.great location particularly as astop point on the way to Oban ferry. Good food and lovely lodges.
Modern room with storage perfect for walkers. Full height windows with sliding door out to veranda with beautiful view. Restaurant food was amazing! Friendly atmosphere in the bar.
Room was too hot during the night, but to be fair it was the hottest day of the year.
Wonderful location with Excellent staff!
The location and the staff were amazing! The restaurant was really good too (for breakfast and dinner) and the comfortable rooms all have a private terrace.
The room was not perfectly clean (coffee spots on curtains and walls, the toilet bowl was a bit dirty, the shower had shampoo traces, one towel had spots of mould...).
rooms were nicely designed and decorated, beautiful location.
Some of the staff were unfriendly and unprofessional, with a bad attitude.
Staff great, good location for walkers, food in restaurant good
Pricey, door handles on rooms difficult to operate, showers extremely slippery.
