The Bridge Hotel is set in stunning countryside. Staff were friendly, helpful and made the trip even more special.
It is difficult to fault this hotel. The staff are friendly, attention to detail, location and all-day open bar/restaurant is ideal for tourists.
Courteous, helpful & responsive staff.
Relatively late breakfast start times.
Friendly professional staff, comfortable and welcoming hotel, fabulous location.
Peaceful location, good food, wonderful staff, log fire and joy oh joy no television. Would highly recommend.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was beautiful. A very enjoyable stay
The general atmosphere and the surprise we had at the high standard of both service and accommodation tucked away in a really secluded part of the county ...
The rooms were very nice and very clean. The staff were always polite, courteous and professional. The food and the service was excellent.
The only thing I could fault was the fire alarm going off at 03:30 in the morning and there didn't seem to be any staff taking charge of this, we had not been given any instructions regarding fire assembly points and it was left up to the guests to fend for themselves.
Absolutely stunning setting. Rooms very smart and comfortable with good facilities. No TV which was nice for a change! Staff very friendly, approachable and down to earth. Good food too!
Good food good beers comfortable bed seperate easy chairs
Location of the Hotel, friendly staff, spacious room, clean and tidy, good food
No Mobile signals, no Tv in the rooms, wifi very slow
An ideal centre for walking and exploration. Unintrusive attention from all the Staff
friendly atmosphere caring personal attention excellent rooms and facilities especially lounge and bar all very relaxing
we would have liked the open fire in the lounge alight on a night
Lovely location, superb genuinely friendly staff who worked as a team and did every job. Comfortable rooms beds, good bathroom and shower. DOG FRIENDLY ! Wonderful breakfasts. Good Bars.
Pub type food. HUGE helpings wasted on us. Much food probably from frozen catering packs. Too much fried food. Specials menu the same every day.
No other place to eat or shop
The surrounds are beautiful, very quiet, perfect for a nature getaway. Lots of walks & hill & mountain hiking.
We have stayed in this hotel several times over many years and it always lives up to our expectations. The superior rooms at the front are well worth the extra money.
There is a good menu and the food is very well presented, but the actual cooking was not always quite up to the standard of everything else.
Great rooms in a very good hotel set in the most beautiful location. Really good service in the hotel, restaurant and bar. The views are just breathtaking and away from the crowds. This is the Lake District at its best and the hotel is a gem!
We would have preferred to have had our evening meal in the restaurant, rather than the pub, and will request this next time. The mattress on our bed needs to be replaced; the hotel took this seriously and this should not distract from an otherwise wonderful experience (our daughter's bed was very good).
Very friendly and welcoming staff, with great customer service, and good food. Idyllic setting in the heart of Buttermere and just minutes from the lake with its stunning scenery.
Wonderful location, exquisite scenery. Remoteness - no TV! Very comfortable. Excellent food. Delightful staff.
No mobile phone reception!
We really liked everything about our few days stay at the Bridge Hotel
There were a few members of staff who threw there cigarette butts into the stream at front of hotel
Friendly staff , excellent food, world class breakfast. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Ours was a room which accepted dogs, there was no difference in cleanliness! The area is superb for walks. Bar restaurant served excellent food
No TV or radio in room
We have stayed at the Bridge on 3 occasions now and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Staff, food location and facilities all excellent. Will be returning next year
Great staff and breakfast fantastic location
