Score from 185 reviews Good
Staff very friendly and helpful. I spent first 3 nights in single with shared washroom & toilet, then stayed at short notice in larger single with ensuite as no single room available. Easy to book extra night. Rooms clean and simple, good location for me with nearby Tesco Express. Quiet rooms. Good TV in room.
A lift would have been useful but cannot complain as I knew there was no lift before I booked.
Nice staff,warm and comfortable beds
Easy walk from Elephant and Castle tube station. Easy to use bus routes to O2 academy Brixton. Cheaper than other hotels
Needs a lick of paint, as I'm sure they know. The fridge wasn't emptied before we arrived and there was a few hairs on the bed, but these are minor issues.
The location was good, the people working there was nice and the shower was good too
The cleaning, the beds and floors were unclean
it was in the right place for me. not too far fome the station
Value for money Well heated Friendly staff
Wifi was unsably slow
So close to the clubs! Couldn't ask for them to be any closer
That the you had to share a bathroom and toilet
The owners were just the nicest people, welcomed us with hot green tea, offered the best, fresh dates to enjoy, fruit and bottles water in our room and the when we left gave us a box of chocolalets and a 10% discount card for return visits. The place is cheap, cheerful and very clean, just a 12 min walk to the London Eye. 9 min walk from Elephant and Castle underground station.
A little bit noisy but it was New Years Eve - not noisy enough to keep us awake all night. Everything else was okay
The place is an old mansion/manor house, so its twisty corridors small staircases and non-linear room layout give it a historical character Rooms are clean Staff very friendly and accommodating
Shared bathroom facilities scattered around the hotel seem a bit like a student digs.
Price, clean rooms and excellent bed.
The scrambled eggs could do with improving
Over priced and dated. Noisy
All very disappointing Very dated. Not a nice area over priced. Very very basic
Room & breakfast both good.
Nothing, really. Price is not outstanding value, but not bad for this part of London.
Staff and value for money
The room was a little chilly at night
The staff in this hotel is very friendly and helpful. And at the price this is a good hotel.
The wifi was so slow.
Couldn't control the heat. Too hot!
The hotel is within 10 minutes walk of 3 Tube stations and the City and West End are only a few minutes away from there. The room was functional and the bed was comfy. I would recommend this place to a friend and stay here again.
The WiFi connection was a little flaky at times, but other than that, no other problems.
good locality good price kind personal
Friendly staff, room ok for the price. A budget hotel with realistic aspirations and convenient location. I would probably use this hotel again.
It's conveniently located in proximity to the tube and also has numerous bus services plying nearby. There were also a number of outlets selling halal food for Muslims. The staff was also friendly and helpful.
There were no lifts and the water in the bathing cubicle took some time to drain out.
Proximity to work; good TfL links; clean, comfortable; real staff rather than corporate cut outs; good value breakfast; late arrival, early departure work well.
Worn out stair carpets and circulation spaces. But rooms are fine. I wouldn't go for the shared bathrooms - en suite's better option.
Noise from street, tv not working, cleanliness poor, decor very bad, too expensive - definitely not value for money
cramped, no lift
Bed; apples; silence up until 2am
Staff were kind and helpful. They provided fruit and bottled water in the room, as well as, lots of tea and coffee with milk and sugar. Thermostat on radiator and multiple plugs available to charge phones etc. Good shower!
The en suite bathroom door lock stuck. It was easier to not lock it and keep the door ajar.
