The cleaning staff were very polite and didn't make us feel as if we had leave quickly.
The room was very basic and not very welcoming. There were tiny holes in the curtains.
No hand soap in bathroom
Close to the event we were attending. Quiet at night.
No fruit available for continental breakfast on both the Sun and Monday mornings. Monday the floor hadn't been hovered from Sunday evening meals. Only 1 male member of staff available.
The location is very handy, within a few miles of the motorway. The room was spacious and well equipped. The restaurant was low cost with a good choice.
The window frame surrounds in the bedroom were covered in mould stains. The furnishings were dated and in need of tlc. The soundproofing between upper and lower rooms was poor .
Loved this hotel not only was it good value but clean as well with a hungry horse pub :-)
Value for money - on site restaurant
The rooms were shabby and in need of a refurbish- especially the bathroom. The hot tap in our room required force to turn it off. The staff should not be vacuuming while the guests are eating breakfast Tables weren't cleared once guests had finished eating.
the bar and food were very good value for money and in a very good atmosphere. staff were kind and helpful. The room covered all basic needs and generally a peaceful night away.
the room was a bit worse for ware, but clean and tidy.
Location having reastuarant attached good staff value for money excellent breakfast
Bathrooms not up to standard 1 bathroom was appalling with shower not working. Both in desperate need of refurb
Bedding was clean. Nice pub good food.
Couldnt use the kettle for a hot drink as it was thick with limescale and floating bits. Shower was dirty and there was rubbish in bin from a previous occupier. No staff at reception to ask for a kettle. Or when booking in. Had to ring the bar to ask to check in we arrived
Breakfast was very good, staff very good
the rooms looking tired, would help if they had a handyman that could sort out the problems, the bedrooms could do with constant ventalation, would recomend visiting the condensation shop and look at their r-Pro Plus for Background Ventilation this does work. also in the bathroom, would recommend using Detol Mould remover, comes in a green bottle, the tiles and grouting need a good scrub! will help to keep condinsation mould down. the walls in the corridors, could do with redecorrating, can see where the bathroom above has leaked and the wall paper has come off the wall.
Closeness to M5 . Good evening meal & breakfast.
Cobwebs on the ceiling . Old fashioned bath & taps , very poor panelling on the bath
The relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms and good food
the breakfast on saturday good
first thing noticed great big hole in the wall. we arrived late 12 o'clock a man handed us the key when we got to the room the lights would not work there was noone at reception and nobody picked up the night phone went to bed in dark
We liked the location. The room in general was tidy, the bed was clean and comfortable and the room was quiet, as we asked.
The bathroom was nothing short of disgusting, mould and dampness on the ceiling, bath panel, tiles, taps and shower curtain. The shower head leaked everywhere, the counter tops had a film of scum and the drain filter was thick with brown scum causing the sink to not drain properly. Staff appeared uninterested commenting that these issues would be sorted that day, unlikely as I felt the whole bathroom should have been replaced! Really spoiled the stay for me and my husband.
Very comfortable bed
Had to report a broken toilet seat
The rooms were musty smelling and the rooms/halls/entire lodge was falling apart. It comes to something when a place decides stapling the wallpaper back on and keeping a moldy shower curtain is better than replacing these things.
The price was ok
No Wifi on the room. Bathroom was outdated. Rooms are noisy.
Easy to get to airport, friendly helpful staff, large clean rooms.
Décor was very dated and some parts( hallway) were in need of renovation and decorating.
Nothing outstanding to mention
No wifi in rooms TV reception poor and TV to small for location in room Reception hardly ever manned Pillows were thin For hot humid nights a fan is a necessity
Good value for money. Comfirtable bed
Organization nil at breakfast. Bathroom clean but needed TLC
Location ideal - not too difficult to find parking adequate but more spaces specifically allocated to users of accommodation would have been better
Staff poorly trained and numbers of staff in breakfast room were sadly lacking - more staff and better trained required to improve performance of hotel would have preferred ground floor room
lovely clean room , spacious and well equipped , excellent bathroom , steaming hot water, iron , iron board, trouser press , heated towel rack.Tea making facilities and a flat screen TV.Excellent cheap restaurant and lovely staff.
Late night security lock on main entranced vandalized and not working so access to anyone, damp spots on corridor walls , wall paper hanging off in shared areas. In need of a redecorating desperately.
The room was larger than expected and comfortable the staff were brilliant.t
Large mild/damp patch on dealing near window. Bathroom dated which also made it feel dirty.
The location is lovely
The bathrooms need some decorating, they are old
The bed was very comfortable and having a restaurant attached was handy. Good for parking. Okay for just the night, but wouldn't want to stay for longer.
The walls were very thin, which meant we could clearly hear other rooms and people walking around, including on the metal staircase that was right outside our room. The walls were in fact so thin that there were holes in the walls, presumably where people had put their hands through. My friend was sleeping nearest one such hole that was in our room and said it had a bad smell that prevented her sleeping facing that direction. There was also a very odd sliding door on the bathroom that could not be properly shut, meaning that you don't really get a choice as to whether anyone you're sharing the room with hears when you're going to the toilet. Saying that the hotel has WiFi is not strictly true. It is only available in the bar and restaurant, and then only if you already have access to the Cloud. When we had our breakfast in the restaurant we both ordered pancakes, which did not appear to be a problem until our meals arrived and we were told there was only enough syrup for one of us, which to me demonstrates poor communication from the kitchen staff and should not have happened.
