Location in central Scotland
Room size. I could almost touch both sides of the room. Decor was from the 70's and the TV had no remote, would have been pointless though as i couldn't get far enough away to need it. Window wouldn't shut and the floor was uneven and very squeaky.
Nice atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. First-rate roaring log fires in the bar and lounge.
Bedroom needed an update and so did the bathroom. No shower and 70's mulberry coloured suite. Water was only tepid and the extractor fan shrieked in torment so one had to rely on the little mirror light only. I hear refurbishment is on the cards and this will make all the difference.
the staff were very nice
very dated décor, water was not hot.
Location and area.
No hot water (boiler timer failure)
The hotel is very accommodating for me and my dog ,it's close to the river side walk, and has a decent pub at the rear of the hotel.
They could not get my dinner order correct, and served me the wrong food,
Bar shutting 9.15pm Extractor fan didn't work in the en-suite. A so called shower just a couple of pipes on bath taps. Main room light did not work.
Great pub at rear of hotel Helpful staff always ready to give out of the norm tourists destination tips
Shower didn't work
Convenient location, clean and comfy bed. Good value for money. That's all I was looking for!
If you are bothered by somewhat aged décor, furnishings and fittings you may not like this aspect of the Bridge of Tilt hotel. Didn't bother me! However, I would have appreciated a biscuit with my in-room coffee set (my own, personal test of a hotel's quality).
Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom wreaked of urine. Bar behind the hotel was loud.
having stayed here many times before we were very impressed with the overall improvement of staff, food, and cleanliness
There was nothing we liked about this hotel.
It is old fashioned needs completely gutted and updated. There was no hair dryer, no bathing products, the TV only had volume on one channel. The curtains were hanging off the rails. The extractor fan did not work in the windowless en suite. The toilet was not totally acceptable, it was a bit dirty below the water line. The plastic table cloths were the pits. Our bedroom window had to be held open with a block of wood.
The staff were really nice and helpful. i was made t feel welcome throughout my stay. Friends have a permanent caravan in a site next door so we ate and drank there. The bar in the hotel did look very comfortable and I'm sorry I didn't use it. The cooked breakfast was very good each day and was a great start to the day. The coffee coming with it was very nice
There's not much to say about what I didn't like. The hotel is under new management and they are working hard. The shower in my room wasn't powerful and was more of a "multi-drip" than a shower. But it worked to a point and I did not bring it to the hotels attention. If I had, I'm sure they would have done something about it. I can't find anything to complain about.
the view over fields was nice, and the local town was good.
we had dinner in the hotel on the first night, it was not good at all, the veg must of been boiled for about a week, as it was a bland mush, we asked for a wine list and was told "we have red or white" the hall way to room was not lit well, the TV did not work, we had no toilet roll in the room (this was sorted very quickly when I asked) and the toilet did not flush well.
Location was good. Breakfast ok but very unorganised with guests receiving incorrect orders
No hot water. Hotel was having plumbing problems however we were assured all would be ok by morning. It was not. Two rooms had cold water third room had no water. Staff had no knowledge of local area and were unable to recommend places of interest.
Friendly/helpful staff. Excellent food. Comfortable rooms. Great lounge and spacious dining room.
lots of bookings gone astray including ours chef rude and late for breakfast
Location in a beautiful countryside space
Food was really low quality, fatty and badly prepared. We were told that we should better book a table in advance because it was really busy, to finally find out that most of the tables were empty and just a few dishes of the menu were available. Doesn't worht the money spent on that dinner. We couldn't sleep because there were no blinds in the windows, just a thin curtain that does not stop the light from the outside to shine through (hotel is in front huge lampposts on the street). Toilette is also carpeted and electric shower is really old and does not work properly. It had this old look but not in a sophisticate way. It looks like the best years of this hotel are already gone. Staff does the minimum job to look courteous but not in a trustable way.
Location close to Blair Castle but Hotel resturant was closed. No shows on the kitchen help.
Available food service limited.
Room was very clean and spacious, slept well in comfy beds and peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was outstanding, service excellent and staff were truly wonderful. Superb venue, hotel steeped in history and offered good facilities, lovely staff. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
shower poor quality, and tv had no remote and only 4 channels with constant buzzing. would have been good to have DVD facility.
location public areas breakfast friendly staff
very dated décor nothing matched in bedroom including the two cups. phone in room didn't work.
Staff are friendly Location great Beds, clean and tidy Quiet The location and staff were lovely but the facilities badly need upgraded to make it a great place to stay
Shower was awful, with either freezing or boiling and nothing inbetween Food wasnt to my taste, and after asking for a hard fried egg was given a very runny one No wifi in rooms No remote control so couldnt work tv, and still waiting on the replacement i asked for.
Basic, no television
Comfy bed but in need of a little updating.
The room was comfortable and clean. Hotel was busy and staff did their best it was ok A young waiter had just started and tried hard but could have done with a bit more instruction on waiting and clearing tables etc. Food was ok. The location is great and have stayed there before because of that.
Shower curtains were a bit mouldy as was some of the grout in shower. Toilet had carpet and don't really approve of that
did not like anything about the Tilt hotel. did like the area Blair Atholl itself as as it was worth going to see the Blair Atholl castle. but you could do that and carry on to Pitlochry
Beds not comfortable (old) the shower was a rubber hose attached to the two taps, not useable, no tv in the room as advertised. price to expensive and did not include breakfast. definitely not worth the money. I'd stay in Pitlochry next time and travel a little to Blair Atholl castle this was worth the trip
