Dinner is not very good. Waited an hour for food that was not to good
The room was clean
Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant surroundings and atmosphere. Great breakfast and restaurant.
The breakfast was very nice! Everything you would want! But the evening meal is no more than a pub lunch! Shame! As teg staff was very friendly.
The staff are a credit to the company! All very nice, smiley and always ready to help.
Beds and pillows a tad unforgiving!
Public rooms, quality and vfm of bar menu and excellent breakfast choices. Efficient and helpful staff
Breakfast could do with a more personal touch no buffet, and quality of food at breakfast lacked.
The staff were great and food was fantastic .
The bed for my liking was not great, second night i slept on top of the duvet and that solved the problem
The staff at this hotel are brilliant, nothing is to much trouble, they all come across as though they like working at the hotel
Nothing bad to report only that we wished we had more time to use some of the extensive treatments on offer in the spa !
We loved all aspects of the hotel but especially the excellent spa, lovely pool, gym sauna and steam room. The breakfast menu was vast and catered for a wide range of tastes
Uncomfortable bed. Not value for money
Friendly staff. Spotless tea tray. Bottled water in room.
None to talk of
Warm welcome, decent club sandwich and great breakfast
The room was very hot but there was a tower fan in the room so I think others may have had the same problem. Unfortunately it was impossible to have the window open as it is so close to the main roads, flyover, the traffic noise disturbed me all night, even with the window shut and earplugs.
It's a smashing hotel, the staff were really lovely. Easy access to local roads and close enough for us to local attractions.
Bar food in was nice, staff very attentive and efficient, food was served hot
Staff, food. Lovely comfortable bed.
We did not find bed confortable
Staff very polite and helpful
Our room was tired and grubby, we had a connecting door (which I had not booked) that I could hear strangers in the other room, it was like sleeping in the same room. We were moved to another room two floors below, next to fire doors and again plenty of noise as people passed through, dissappointed as we needed a quiet room. The carpet was stained, the curtains hanging off the rail and robes were old and stained or bleached, this is not a 4. Hotel and not a superior room, I don't know what the extra money I paid was for, glad I didn't book a normal double, I feel those rooms may have been the same without the robes.
The staff were helpful and the breakfast was very good
Didn't have anything to complain about
The hotel was very good, nice staff, felt very homelike Everything about this weekend break was good
Overpriced rooms that were very dated room was cold!! Only twords disabled parking spaces at front of hotel had to park right round the back! Paid 35.00 each for four course meal food had to be sent back as it was cold!! Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast!! Very disorganised! Sofas are all Chesterfields so very low not good for disabled guests!!
Stayed many times, always enjoyed.Staff is great, spotless clean.Restaurant a bit expensive and menu limited. Excellent breakfast
service in the restaraunt was bad.too many apoligies. Shame, it looked like it would have been a nice experiance if the staff was more attentive!!!!
Location was excellent, for an early morning appointment at the Spire Hospital. nice bar area, heat full on so nice and warm when you enter the hotel.
Room service menu very limited. Pillows like bricks
Clean towels omitted on one day of stay, and receptionist said that they would be sent to room, but they were not. Food in bar expensive - but enjoyable. For a non car guest, getting to a bus stop, or in my case to the Alexandra Hospital where my wife was entailed a long walk or a taxi ride.(Not your fault of course!)
Staff generally very helpful, and pleasant.
One issue with the room, we had a leaky window which we didn't know until it was late in the night when we felt the draft. Staff were great in the morning and took a few drinks off our bill to say sorry. We didn't really complain as it wasn't a big deal for us but we wanted to bring it to their attention as the window seal was broken. The so called 'Spa' ...... let's face it, it isn't a spa. Lots of cracked/mouldy/broken tiles, shabby, really needs a refurbishment. Has one TINY steam room which was filthy, one look and didn't go in for the sake of our health. Freezing cold pool!! Moudly tiles in the sauna. Shower trays really dirty and rust appearing. Funny smell all around. Didn't use anything and straight back out! We didn't book this hotel for the 'Spa' but thought it might be a good bonus for the evening before going out or coming back after a long day out.
Great breakfast, friendly staff, quick check in/out. Clean room, new bathroom, good bed and general facilities. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a long weekend break but not for longer.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy bed.The room was also a good size.
Quite tatty in need of refurbishment deluxe room was not deluxe at not worth extra money bathroom very tatty broken tiles
