Good hotel but don't go there for the spa facilities they are very poor, steam and sauna tiny and run down.... Hotel 4 star.... Spa 2 stars
Friendly & efficient staff.
fabulous food and friendly staff throughout hotel.
Reception was excellent and very warm.room was very clean, breakfast was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating.5 stars all round!!!
Nothing to complain about.
Everything, staff friendly big bed very comfortable. Superb breakfast
Cost of drinks in bar very expensive. £4.60 a pint of spitfire beer and £3.50 for a latte
Good location and pleasant ambiance; excellent seating in public spaces; excellent room, with two armchairs; tea/coffee in bedroom; comfortable bed; windows that open; good selection of drinks in bar; good welcome and friendly bar staff.
Failure to order a taxi for the time it was needed; sandwiches - a bit boring; no top sheet on bed; hassled a bit by staff for removal of crockery at breakfast; artificial books on bookshelves; poor grammar on menus; noisy event which percolated into public areas; no cash machine.
Very clean and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Comfortable, clean and quiet with vet helpful staff
Menu a bit limited in the restaurant as liked the choice on the room service menu...... Less protentious Also prices in the restaurant are a bit high.... £22.00 for a steak and only one choice of cut.
Fantastic friendly staff,super food
Poor wifi in room
Bar food poor. Hotel decor very dated.
decor breakfast excellent ability to accommodate children facilities swimming pool
only one trolley for carrying luggage
The location was excellent as it was about 5 mins drive to the place we had a conference. Breakfast was well prepared and had variety. The cleaners did a very good job and the shower was heaven.
The bed was a bit hard and there was a spare mattress under our bed, they could have removed it.
the pool and standard of staff
our breakfast table was cleared whilst we were getting our brealfast. the coffee that was replaced was disgusting.
Staff were excellent, very helpful and welcoming
Very nice ambience. Felt very comfortable and relaxed during my stay.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Nice place to stay , good atmosphere . rooms are comfy and clean
Breakfast was good but not warm enough . Also the chocolate buns have been travelling in the desert as they were more than dry!!
Restaurant was first class for both dinner and breakfast
no indiication in room as to what tv channels were available - spent ages trying to find a sports channel - unsuccesfully - and on a Saturday night, too!
Stayed on business for two nights in Aug 14 ALL the staff were excellent vey helpful and professional Restaurant was very good
Leisure facilities were the only thing that let the hotel down the gym and pool were very small. I'm a member of the QHotel's gym in Basingstoke and you just can't compare the two which was a surprise as I had expected it to be similar in size. Also the rooms are slightly on the small side, but fully functional.
Great staff - always willing to help. Comfortable rooms and the whole hotel was kept clean & tidy.
Being able to relax without Hassel of time use
Gardens and restaurant were great very relaxing.
Just a little too near the Motorway for me but if you came from the north and wanted to break your journey it would be excellent .
Location. Easy access to close to motorway and towns Good sized hotel, not so big you walk miles to your room Good selection of food (only had breakfast Friendly and attentive staff
WiFi hit and miss, not so good for a business traveller
The reception staff (Sam in particular) were extremely helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable
The staff in the restaurant were ok, at best! We stayed for three nights, eating in the restaurant as a group of twelve and nine for the first two evenings only. The third evening, we ate elsewhere. Each night, there was something that we ordered off the menu that was not available.. The second evening, five of the party ordered steak and ale pie, off the bar menu, only to be told that it was not available approximately 5 mins after the waiter took the order.... Each night the wait for the food was incredibly long, too long in our opinion.. We understand fresh food takes time to cook and when in a large party, getting food to the table at the same time is tricky, but we took that into consideration.. At the end of the day it is the chefs job to do make sure that customers are served, it's not like we were ordering complicated meals!! This experience spoiled what should have been an uncomplicated stay, we only needed feeding, watering and a bed to sleep in and the outstanding memory is the poor restaurant service...
Leisure staff and bar staff very good.
One member of reception unhelpful and miserable!
The breakfast was excellent
The poor quality of staff understandings / training of lone disabled guests
