Set in beautiful gardens, Bridleway offers delicious breakfasts and elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. The Edwardian country house is in Arnside, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Breakfasts are served in the bright conservatory, and feature local and organic produce. Breakfast includes homemade breads and marmalade made from the owner’s orange plantation in Spain. The individually designed bedrooms each have a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee facilities. All rooms have scenic garden views and a private modern bathroom with free toiletries. Guests can relax on the leafy terrace in the large grounds, which are often visited by deer. Bridleway is surrounded by countryside, and horse riding, fishing and hiking are available in the area. In an Area of Outstanding National Beauty, Bridleway Guest House is just over mile from Arnside Railway Station. There is free on-site parking, and Windermere is a 30-minute drive away. The hosts were BRILL. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was all you could ask for. Fruit salad and yogurt, grilled breakfast, toast and home made choices of marmalade. Only booking for 2 nights

The hosts were very welcoming and accomodating and they make you feel very much at home in their beautiful house. parking could be a slight issue if guests are not happy to park on the road and are expecting off-road parking as it is not clear from the details that parking is difficult. it did not spoil our stay in the slightest but i could see that some people would not be comfortable to leave their cars down the road. however, this does not detract from the fact that the place is otherwise perfect.

A friendly welcome, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. It is well situated for enjoying the delights of the AONB around Arnside and Silverdale. Only two rooms so you need to book but it is worthwhile to do so.

Everything about Bridleway is perfect. The location,the house and the gardens could not be more beautiful and tranquil. Our room and en-suite were very clean,comfortable and attractive. Breakfast was delightful and our hosts could not have been more welcoming and attentive. All in all I would highly recommend Bridleway as a perfect retreat for those in need of rest and relaxation.For those who like the great outdoors there are many walks in the surrounding countryside.

We had a very happy time at Bridleway, the owners Ineke and Stuart were very friendly and made us feel most welcome. We would definately go back.

The area is beautiful and benefits from a 'micro' climate which gave us beautiful weather for our weekend. The hospitality was excellent and so friendly we were made to feel very welcome and the facilities of Bridleway were just perfect. Highly recommended.

Lovely, spacious room and bathroom. Beautiful surroundings. Very friendly welcome. Delicious breakfasts. Could have had fresh fruit for breakfast rather than fruit compote. Biscuits in the room would have been welcome. Towels did not seem to dry very well. ?new or washed with softener?
