The environment of the hotel

Bit costly

Friendly staff, nice food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Rated low for value for money after discovering the next hotel down was 20 quid cheaper, identical quality and far superior lake views. Also, the hotel has a stupid policy of being shut between midnight and 8am, only providing a code for the back door that some drunk idiot forgot. My window was directly above the door so I got woken up by his banging and had to go let him in.

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Good food. Clean and well appointed room

Some of the carpets in the public area are becoming worn

The setting near the lake was great

Cleaning Staff were shouting early every morning directly outside our room. Shower was very poor as it just was a hose form the bath. The temperature of the water fluctuated from scalding hot to freezing cold and vice-versa. Drinks were added to our room without our knowledge.

The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. I felt completely relaxed from the moment we arrived.

Recently modernised room done to a high standard. Great attention to detail and very efficient staff. If I ran a hotel, that's how I would do it. Hotel located in lovely grounds maintained beautifully

Changeing the bed linen on our last morning while we were having breakfast instead of waiting until we checked out !

The room decors were cozy and comfy and restaurant service was excellent.

Too far from the train station. We had trouble to find the hotel cause the GPS showed the wrong direction.

How early you.had to be up for breakfast

I had a fantastic stay, it was a really good break for me and my partner. Throughly enjoyed.

The room was really comfortable & with the patio doors it had a lovely relaxing feeling looking out over the gardens

Professional,friendly staff,and the super chef!

Lovely location. The staff gave us a large room with wonderful views of the mountains. We stayed for eveing dinner and the food and service were excellent. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and courteous.

The only thing we didn't like was to come back from breakfast to find 3 cleaning ladies in our bedroom making our bed. Bearing in mind that we didn't have to vacate the room until 11am a bit more privacy would have been appreicated as all our clothes and stuff were all still out.

Can't think of one thing!

The room was recently and well-decorated with quality fittings including an ingenious blind. The service was very friendly - I was shown round the hotel and to my room. The service at breakfast was simply excellent. Even after I checked out and asked to stay for a bit longer, I was made to feel welcome and brought a complimentary cafetiere of coffee.

Nothing really

Fantastic staff, delicious food,very convenient location for access to hillwalks in the lakes, knowlegeable manager re walking conditions, very comfortable, warm room AND a bathtub!!

Bed a little hard when used to memory foam bed, but thats the only thing and thats being very picky!

The accommodations were lush and beautiful and the location just across from the lake was excellent. The food was also delicious.

There's not actually access to the lake from the hotel. The lake is across the street (a busy street), but one has to walk a ways in either direction to actually find public access to the lake itself.

Virtually everything

Although wifi was available, it was only available in the lounge area. For a very small extra cost the hotel could and should extend it throughout the hotel.

Peaceful and relaxing

I would have liked more than one choice of drink from the bar such as a nice Bitter

Very friendly staff and lovely public lounges and grounds.

The room was overpriced. It was very comfortable but had no view. Had there been a nice view of the lake or gardens then it might have been worth it.
