Bed wasn't brilliant, but satisfactory Leaving!
- well maintained building - nice staff - good location
- breakfast could be a bit more interesting
Location, near sea front. Reception and booking Ease of welcome Relaxed Good small room, lots of stairs Comfortable, wifi, plugs Breakfast..very good.
Nice comfy bed !! Manager nice and friendly and helpful
Towels needed replacing!! Ensuite very dated food served at breakfast uninteresting
Excellent location, friendly staff as ever. I always stay here as the location is excellent and the hotel is lovely. Will continue to return here
good location very friendly staff affordable and safe sub terrain parking just accros
I loved the location, it was easy to book and there was a very handy link to a secure car park (only £12 for 24 hours!) everyone is at the hotel is friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was healthy and fresh with an array of organic produce. The room was simple, clean and ample.
This is purely a taste thing, but the aesthetic of the hotel is modern and chintz free (very good) but there were brass fixtures and fittings which is dated and the taps needed replacing in the en-suite which were a bit drippy. but really its a wonderful find and would definitely stay there again. I have recommended it to friends.
Beautiful old house with lovely staff and quality rooms
Long way up the stairs to the top rooms
Lovely character and beautiful breakfast
Excellent buffet breakfast, good sized well equipped room with a large comfortable bed.
Car parking cost in public car park. (no fault of the hotel!)
Homely atmosphere and lovely selection of teas in the room ,nothing like a cuppa after a stroll along the sea front.
Nice regency square, not far from the town centre, a good welcome, plenty of nice breakfast options.
The triple room (2 parents and an older daughter) is in the basement and was almost 200 pounds a night. It felt very over-priced and I was disappointed. 2 issues: it was a little noisy after midnight with drunkards coming round the corner from the top of the square (a pub is 20 yards round the corner from the hotel). Not the hotel's fault, of course. Plus, very early in the morning on both days, staff (?) were talking loudly on the front steps of the hotel. At 6am, it's irritating. So we were tired both days. The shower stall was very dirty - the shower heads and steps into the shower. We just couldn't face it. Not what I wanted for the price / the weekend treat. My wife commented on it at checkout. For the price, the hotel really needs to have a 5* attitude to cleaning: you can't just rely on a good breakfast only. Are your staff really that committed?
Beautiful character and great breakfast. Lovely cat. Appreciative of free cake in hallway.
Having to go home!
1. Very friendly staff. 2. Great location. 3. Clean.
1. Very small shower cubicle. 2. Would be great to provide option for hot breakfast.
no phone in the room to call the reception. No elevator we had to climb the stairs with the luggage.
Seconds from the ocean but away from the traffic, the location is perfect for wandering east toward the pier and Lanes, or west along the less touristy portion of the waterfront. Staff are warm, cat's on the doorstep every morning, and the second cup of coffee appears quickly.
Central location. Hotel with character
Because no A/C in rooms kept window open overnight but kept awake by constant noises from the streets. Undersatnd hath this hotel is in a prime location near to amenities and Brighton is lively resort but without cooling in the rooms, the only way to keep cool on a warm night is to have the window open.
Hotel is nearby seaside, shopping center and various shops and restaurants, bus stopping, on a walking distance of a railway station and various sights. Staff wеrе very kind, helpful and positive. Breakfast was delicious and included organic food, too.
The view from the balcony which made the room and value for money. Room made to feel special by the balcony. Great selctions of teas and fruit basket. Help having wifi to look things places. The room was cosy and comfortable. Great stay.
The wall in the room are thin and you could here the guest next door and lick of paint to fresh the room up. Little minor things. Never spoiled our stay here.
i was staying for a wedding so just needed a base and this hotel provided that.
The Hotel was a beautiful Regency building and the rooms were very comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast each morning with organic produce and home made natural yoghurt which was delicious. The staff were welcoming and always very helpful. I would certainly stay at Brighton House again. Karen (Hampshire)
