I stayed in this hotel only one night, but was very impressed how friendly and welcoming are those people.I was given a piece of home made cake after checking in and had that in my small single room, which was very cosy, clean and comfy. Fantastic breakfast in the morning, very helpful staff. Highly recommend this house!!

Well presented and clean, good location for seafront and shopping. A classic small hotel charm, you feel valued not just another room number in a hotel. Charming rooms with character. Nothing we didn't like.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared and was very tasty. The room was comfortable, large, clean and tidy. The only just was the bathroom door was bowed and did not shut properly but it only is a minor issue as the rest of the hotel made up for it.

Very friendly staff. Makes you feel at home. Very nice situation, close to the centre yet quiet enough. Very good breakfast. I had a sinlge small room and the bed was perhaps a bit short.

The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was excellent and decorated to an excellent standard. The thing that made the stay so perfect was the friendliness and little touches like home made cake and fruit available to just help yourself too. I would defiantly return.

Probably the best hotel of its size we've ever stayed at. Friendly, helpful but not over-bearing staff, clean rooms with excellent facilities (a whole suite of different tea bags to choose from!), a breakfast with a mind-boggling array of different foods to choose from and a lovely cat. The location is excellent, close to the sea front and the town centre but tucked away enough to avoid late night noise. Can't recommend Brighton House highly enough.

The place was light and airy. The room (a single) was small but comfortable and clean. It backed onto streets but didn't seem too noisy for a Saturday night. The breakfast was toast, coffee, and some bits and pieces but sufficient for me. I didn't really spend a lot of time there but it seemed comfortable. I was on the 3rd floor which involved climbing several staircases. If you had problems with stairs you'd be well advised to get a room on a lower floor since there is no lift.

Our room was in the basement and smelled a bit damp. Also having to use electric extension lead instead of proper sockets. The room could have been better lit. And it would have been nice to have a throw for the bed as it was a cold night and the thin summer weight duvet wasn't enough.

Close to all that Brighton has to offer. The staff are friendly and helpful, even the resident cat, Mr Biggs. Breakfast is continental, but has a very good selection and is fresh every morning. The room was quite large and comfortable but not air conditioned which could be a problem on hot days and nights. Absence of a lift, especially when your room is on the top floor and the staircase to the last landing is very narrow. An older person would not be able to carry bags up these stairs.

Lovely, freshly prepared buffet breakfasts. Home made cake prepared regularly and offered to guests in foyer. Power shower in room kept my husband happy as he enjoys a decent shower when staying away from home. Staff were very welcoming and keen to help provide information on Brighton and give details on restaurants and local places of interest. One of the plus points for Brighton House Hotel is also, unfortunately. one of its negative points. The location is great for ease of access to the town, beach and marina; however it also meant there was a certain amount of noise from outside which could not be avoided.Nothing could be done about this-its just worth being aware of it.
