Brighton Youth Hostel

Nothing. It's the worst place I've EVER stayed in.

Unfriendly reception staff. Reception used as baggage deposit. Poor rooms:squeaky bunk beds, dirty mattresses and duvets, dirty floors. No amenities whatsoever, no towels, not even a bar of soap in the bathroom. Noisy, several groups of hen and stag parties, and no one to ask them to keep a minimum silence. Check out at 9:00 unless having breakfast or paying supplement. Unkept entrance and garden area.

Was tatty, noisy and overpriced. Only just about clean enough. Would not stay there again and would not recommend it.

It was miles from where they said it was. They have taken my payment twice Sheets were dirty

Secure room; one helpful staff member, lounge area was pleasant place to relax and chat with guests. It was near to the seafront and had a pleasant "beer garden" however I wasn't able to use this due to the weather.

I arrived to do the Brighton marathon, possibly the biggest event of the year in Brighton. The Latvian receptionist did not seem to know it was on - some of her first words were "Breakfast at 9.30, OK?". I had to explain I was running a marathon then and negotiate, after some time, a breakfast at 8am. This information was not passed on however and I was left scrambling around in the kitchen, getting some (cold) food thanks only to one stressed but accommodating staff member on duty at the time. There were no towels. When a fellow guest asked a woman who was sweeping the floor in front of the tv about them, she said she did not understand the word "towel". Showers were supposedly cleaned every 30 mins however when I entered to shower it was soaking wet everywhere and had so many hairs in the plug it was blocked. No showers on the floor meaning I had to walk up/down several stairs in shower gear to access them. The taps were faulty and would not turn off. There was very little space indeed - on the busiest weekend of the year this created problems. Nobody offered any advice or suggestions on my baggage - I simply had to check out at 10 but was running the marathon. Thankfully I had friends staying in a hotel who could take my suitcase for the day. It is most unlikely I will ever return to this hostel.

Difficult to park but that goes for all of Brighton and hove.

unfreundliche begrüßung, bettengestelle gebrochen, kein warmwasser, check out um 09.30 abgemacht, aber am tag dann erfahren wir, dass wir unser deposit erst um 10 uhr holen können. dass wir einen bus erwischen mussten, war ihnen egal. unfreundlichen personal, preis-leistungs-verhältnis nicht angemessen!!!! würde nie wieder dort hingehn!!!

Carisimo, las habitaciones no tenian apenas decoracion, pequeñisimo, feo, cada dia a las 9 de la mañana nos despertavan con obras, el lavabo no tiene ni enchufe para el secador ni nada, encontramos un tampax usado en la habitacion, nos canviaron de habitacion a media estancia sin nosotros estar ahi, canviandonos las cosas de sitio ellos mismo metiendolo todo en las maletas, ropa limpia y sucia a la vez ya que venden mas habitaciones que tienen, todo esto y muchas mas carencias... En definitiva el peor hotel en el que he estado en mi vida, no lo recomiendo a nadie

Habitaciones muy sucias.Olor a porro en las escaleras.Colchones blandos y malos y cama malisimaaaaaas!!

- manque de propreté - loin du centre-ville (40 minutes à pied) - petit déjeuner uniquement entre 9h30 et 10h - dortoir bruyant - supplément si vous voulez rester après 10h.
