Score from 1300 reviews Very good
the sea view size of room breakfast
did change room from basement family room to a better one parking should have been free as its limited and on site and not secure
Hotel doesnt have a secure car park
Staff were lovely
Room was cold and drafty- brought two heaters that didn't work before being moved. Sea view was good but room was very small. Drinks at the bar were overpriced. Staff were lovely but overall decor etc was leaning toward shabby
The location and staff
Ideal location for town and Brighton Centre. Friendly efficient staff. Would return and recommend.
Excellent discount rate.
Hotel is looking run down. Would not have been happy if I had to pay full price.
The restaurant was lovely. Staff friendly especially the young blond waitress sorry can't remember her name. The breakfast was great but would recommend tinned toms to make it excellent for me.
The room was on a slant felt like you were on a boat. When windy the window rattles all the time. They need replacing. We stayed on a very windy night so got no sleep first night but the second was fine. The radiator gurgled all the time. The bed is quite small but then so is the room. Room 422
We thought that the hotel staff were helpful at check in and that the room was comfortable in relation to its cost. The hotel and room were also very clean. There was a wide choice of options at breakfast. The full English was delicious and the staff were helpful and attentive. We will be coming back and we would recommend this hotel.
It was difficult to find on the front but that is our issue and not the hotels. We would of liked longer for breakfast, maybe an additional half an hour up to 10am, especially as there is a generous check out time of 11am.
Staff were welcoming & helpful
Shower water was barely lukewarm at 9 am on a Sunday morning.
The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. Even the small single room that I booked was well appointed and of a perfectly acceptable size. There is a bar, restaurant, parking - what more could you want? The prices are very reasonable too.
Nothing of note
Staff Generous size room location
Needs decorating .Toiletries quite mean, and maybe a better cleaning regime
Friendly and helpful, would definitely stay there again, not 5 star, but we prefer it that way. :0
Great location, friendly staff.
We were kept awake by the girl in the room above us being arrested at 2am in the morning, the walls were so thin we could here everything. Not particularly the hotels fault but it did ruin our nights sleep and the walls are very thin so you can here people the the hall ways etc.
The location and light and views in the downstairs - breakfast room and lobby/bar area, also the super helpful and polite staff, and the early bird price.
The bed was really uncomfortable - it would be better if it had a proper frame, didn't have an unnecessary base, was levelled and most important had a mattress that moulded to your body, rather than the hard springs experienced.
Location was good and had partial sea view. Tasty breakfast and decent bar facilities. Room was clean.
booked a double room but got a twin. Toilet was placed in such a way that you have to sit on it at an angle and there was no toilet brush. Had to pay a supplement for parking at the hotel. Arrived at half one but told room wouldn't be ready until three.
Clean & comfortable - value for money
Toasters require replacing as they take a long time to produce any visible signs of toasting a piece of bread!
Excellent breakfast. Really good location & fantastic view of the sea & bandstand. We saw some excellent sunsets in our 2day stay.
One way system in Brighton but that is nothing to do with the hotel.
A warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Nice big room with a fantastic sea view. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast and a lovely evening meal. A thank you to Nick and his staff. I will definitely stay here again.
I liked the lobby of the hotel and location.
It was near on impossible to enter the bathroom as the door couldn't open passed the bed. When I went down 3 times there was no reception to discuss it with. Very poor room layout. If I hadn't all ready payed for the room I wouldn't off done . Also was supposed to be pay when you stay but money was taken before I stayed so was lucky I had money there to pay it. First member of staff we spoke to on checking in was rude and dis intrested.
Location, small and friendly hotel with a cosy feel to it, price, excellent staff.
Nothing worthy of mention - other than it rained, but I can't blame the hotel for that!
clean and comfortable
view from bedroom window fireescape
Friendly and helpful young staff, location, value for money, clean, good bathroom.
Heating can be hard to control.
Great location and lovely breakfast!
The staff were extremely polite and friendly and helpful. The location was good.
Creaky floorboards in room above, they disturbed our sleep. Room quite small and basic.
