We chose this hotel because of the location and we had stayed in other bw hotels and was under the impression that they were of a reasonable standard - that is until we booked this one. We were offerred an upgrade to a superior room for a charge of an extra £30.00. The room itself was large with a seaview. The windows were filthy and the carpet was unbelievable stained and grubby. I did not take my shoes off during the entire stay in this room. The bathroom was long and narrow and very clinical. There were no toiletries apart from a soap dispenser above the wash basin and over the bath. Breakfast was served in a very nice room and the staff pleasant. The food when served was hot but as one of the toasting machines was ooo I had to queue to toast my bread. The cereals were very limited. I did report the stains on the carpets in our superior room - two I think were blood stains to reception on our departure. I would never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel turned out to be very disappointing and we would never return. There are lots of hotels in Brighton and unfortunately I chose the wrong one on this occasion.

The Brighton Hotel was everything one would need for one night or even a weeks stay, Close to the beach and shops. The room was cleam and presentable, unfortunately I was only able to mark our room with a fair because the heating was not working, but we were provide with a portable heater which did the job sufficiently for our short ovenight stay.

The location is great but the room ( delux) was a joke been in larger wardrobes and the bathroom was horrible and tiny.most staff fine but the receptionist on check out was the rudest most ignorant woman I have ever met in the service industry, the manager was a good guy who knew his staff had badly let the place down. Tiny poor rooms, check out to early and the rudest most unpleasant receptionist I have ever met.

If you're in Brighton for a couple of days and want somewhere relatively cheap to stay, this maybe the place for you. Whilst I could nit-pick all day about the dog eared decoration both outside and in, the truth is that for £60 for a double room, free wifi, a view over the sea, a pretty decent bathroom, digital tv and friendly staff, I'd have to say that is reasonable. I only stayed one night, but would have been happy to stay for the week. I paid an extra £5 for breakfast, taking the cost of the stay to £65. Not unreasonable one would think. However, it would probably be best if potential guests chose not to eat the English breakfast, which was poor by any standards. If you're happy to stick to weetabix or cornflakes and toast and happy to pay a fiver for that, then book the breakfast with a room. Otherwise, there's a cafe just around the corner.

Soul-less, airless, ridiculously expensive for such a poor quality hotel. Excessive parking charges, inadequate breakfast, room floor on a dangerous slant due to subsidence resulting in head of bed below feet level, no air con diabolcal security necessitating closing window all night. All in All a terrible experience.

The staff were very friendly. The location was good. It was way too expensive for the room. The decor was dated. There was no bath. The floor in the bathroom was missing tiles. There were only two pillows and one blanket. The tea service was very minimal. It was more of a budget hotel and it cost us 150 gbp.

The first room we had was dingy and poky, and involved stairs both up and down, which I could'nt manage as I have a bad knee. Having said that the management was'nt aware of my problem and once I compained we were offered an alternative room which was easily accessable, much more spacious and bright with sea views. The breakfast. It was very basic and not good quality.

Staff were friendly and helpful, I had double room which was an adequate size for me, but my son and partner, who also had a double room found it a little small for the two of them, however they adapted and enjoyed their stay as much as I did. I would return to the hotel, whenever I decide to take another trip to Brighton. And would recommend it to friends. Would have appreciated a smoking area on the premises, as I found it a touch cold outside during my January stay, but am living on the Maltese Islands and accustomed to the milder temps , enabling me to sit at an outside table to partake of the necessary cigarettes. This is not a complaint, more of a suggestion to accomodate their smoking clientele.

We stayed on a Sunday and the hotel kindly upgraded us to a sea view room with four poster bed. The room was cosy and comfortable and more spacious than I had expected and definately made for a nice relaxing stay. The bathroom was new and bright and everything was very clean. Service was excellent and staff helpful. I was surprised to see guests were given a welcome drink of champagne at breakfast. Very pleasant stay will definitely come again.

The only thing was that I thought I had booked a car parking space when I booked - think ticked a box. But when I phoned up day before to check they said that wasn't the case. In the end however we did get a good space outside the hotel without any problem so that was fine.

The heating in my room was broken, so it was constantly on, even during the night. However, when I mentioned it to the hotel staff the next morning, they were really helpful and relocated me into a new room.

I stayed at the Brighton Hotel for 1 night and don't have any major complaints I had inadvertantly booked twice with my credit card because the first time I booked no confirmation came through this may have been a fault of the booking company and though the hotel initally charged me they said they would try and sell the extra room on which they managed to do so I did get a refund which was good of them. Breakfast was quite good and the room though a bit warm for my wife and I was quite good. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that you had to pay an extra 15 pounds for parking on their rather miniscule car park and had to leave a 50 pounds deposit so in future I would probably stay somewhere that had free parking.

Staff very good and nice breakfast. No heating in the bathroom and not very clean and dated room we had on the top floor and the smallest lift I've been in, and the slowest!! We had cold showers in the cold bathroom which was not nice. We are staying in Brighton again soon and looked at other hotels with a lot nicer rooms at the same price and better located, so sorry Best Weston you need to up your game.
