Very nice modern rooms. Great breakfast selection Due to the waterfront location, there was a large amount of noise into the early hours, which the double glazing could not prevent, which lead to a very disturbed sleep There is also a large number of "Stag" and "Hen" groups that visit the city.

The hotel is very good, modern with good facilities at an excellent location. The room was nice, spick-n-span, panoramic if a bit cramped, but the bathroom was very comfy. The staff very obliging and the breakfast fresh and varied. The hotel bar can improve a bit as they had no bitters at all. However, there were a few problems. The safe deposit did not work, neither did the airco-heater which was a pity as it was a freezy night. The TV remote-control had no batteries, either. The staff dealt promptly with these problems and were apologetic. What was really bad, nevertheless, was the fact that there was a stag party going on which created merry hell for all other guests like us on the same floor. We got a rude awakening at 4.00 in the morning with a war going on outside. The staff had a hard job dealing with these animalistic guests, all Brits of course, we felt sorry for them. Such guests should not really be accepted at such hotels, or they should be isolated on another floor. It rather marred a Bank Holiday weekend.

I have book The Brigstow Bristol because of the price and location on that time.. Amazing Hotel and staffs. Very helpful and friendly. I like the tv in the bathroom I have never seen it in any hotel in uk. The matress is very comfortable and I got a nice room with lovely river view. I will stay there again for sure and of course I will book nice room with river side because I did like it very much. I was really happy stying there for 3 nites and I will be back for sure. Many thanks. Daniele Vieira I didnt like when I leave the hotel :-) because was so nice. If I had time I would stay longer for sure!!

The location over the river was lovely, the room and breakfast was super. The only issue is the carpark, or lack of one so you have to use the Ncp car park behind for 15 pound a night, this makes urban expensive option if you have more than one car Expensive patking

Quiet - relaxing - friendly. Comfy bed and nice view across the river. Good location for exploring the city. Great restaurants within a stone's throw of the hotel. Well appointed rooms. Staff were helpful. Overall, a really lovely stay. Would definitely book here again if the price was right. Not scruffy, but in need of a re-vamp really. Decor felt a bit dated. TV in the bathroom didn't work and the shower was rather weak. Main channels on bedroom TV hadn't all been tuned in properly (no radio 4!) but minor things really. Not inspired to eat / drink in the hotel, so can't comment on those.

Super location in a quiet spot but very close to both the city centre/tourist sites and the shopping quarter. We got great value for money as we thought for the price we paid we would be staying in a no-frills budget type hotel which was far from the case. Our room was beautiful and with a spacious en-suite, tv in the bath very much appreciated! The hotel bar and restaurant were very well decorated and the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. We were very impressed!

We didnt stay for long, but the short time that we did have was very good. The hotel is conveniently placed alongside river views, close to major shopping precincts and entertainment venues. Very clean, stylish, car parking excellent, staff very polite and very helpful.

Good central location with very friendly and efficient staff. We had superior waterfront rooms that were superb and very comfortable. Bed was wonderful. Only down side was car parking reliant upon NCP next door which even with the hotel discount was expensive.

Staff were friendly and room was really spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom was particularly great. Only downside was that wireless internet was really expensive - but it was a nice excuse to not bother checking work emails for the weekend!

This is our third visit to the Brigstow. We love the design of the hotel and the unusual interior design of the rooms, the generously sized bathroom with its plasma tv; the hotel's central location, the feeling of being so near the bridge, the canal, the cobbled streets - the heart of old Bristol. We look forward to returning, and this time we booked through Bookings and got a bargain rate too, so great value for money!

Clean, comfortable hotel well situated on a waterfront in Bristol, close to centre and 5 to 10 min walk from Bristol Temple Meads station. Room had good big bathroom, generally well designed. You can't go too far wrong with a Mercure hotel, but they are among the worst offenders for ridiculous breakfast prices. £16 each for breakfast? What if the missus only wants a coffee? There's a decent cafe about 100 m down the road if you turn right out of the hotel.
