Bar and restaurant staff was excellent. Although hotel was quiet I was put in the smallest room and as it was at the rear of the hotel it did not receive Wi Fi.

Friendly staff, good sized rooms The shower was a trickle. No water pressure. Slow service in dining room at dinner and breakfast even though it was quiet. The very grubby rugs which the tables sat on were offputting and so unnecessary on the wooden floor.

Our bathroom wasnt very good, the decoration was a little bit poor, the shower was really difficult to get the temperature correct, the toilet was a little too close to the bath so a bit of a squeeze!

We had stayed at this hotel 1 year ago for my partners birthday and enjoyed it very much. great location , central for everything . Food in restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Room was tiny, like a furnace, filthy (vomit on walls) and beside a corridor with probably the worst floorboards i have ever heard so we didnt sleep well. As we had stayed at this hotel before ,we were so disappointed on this occasion and will not be returning.

Nicely decorated, some staff very good, well priced good food. Fantastic location if you get a sea front room. Weddingparty in there was obviously having a very good time... Well stocked bar but see wine below Bathroom was in pieces - a hole in the ceiling had blu tack in to stop plaster dust, shower was a mixer-nightmare tap. Flush the toilet and the seat came flying down at you... (Rm 115). When eating at night the girl cleaning the table in the restaurant simply swept the food crumbs onto the floor!! The chap was very good - apologised. Poor wine list for a hotel of this size - about 8 of each plus Rose and champagne. White wine was way above room temp on receipt so needed an ice bucket and 10 mins to cool it down. On leaving wasn't even asked if we'd enjoyed the stay... Needs to do more of the basics better - throughout the stay you see into the offices littered with paperwork, extremely untidy.

I had a most enjoyable stay, staff were very accommadating and friendly. The only issue I had was the fact that you had no lift and my husband is a stroke victim and it would have been beneficial to be able to avail of a lift. Thank you for a lovely visit. Regards, Rose

lovely hotel, our first night the room was really cold although the radiators were very hot, but the rest of the hotel was also very cold, I think it had something to do with the way the wind was blowing, the next day the hotel was warmer, Could not fault the breakfast it was very good also had a meal in the hotel, excellent value for money. Would definately stay again.

Location was excellent with good sea views. Good breakfast served to order instead of buffet. Room 104 - Shower mixer was loose on the wall, Shower head wall bracket was loose, Bedside lights were unusable for reading, tv in the morning was not usable as the picture kept 'freezing'.

Very friendly staff, well appointed large rooms. As the room TV was down due to storms, we were given a £20 offer of dinner or rebate on our hotel bill. This was an excellent gesture. Weather was lousy, obviously not the hotels doing!!

Our room was comfartable and had a great view over to Millport. We were there when the storm hit and the hotel couldn't get any reception on the television even though friends who live in Largs had no problems. Little things as in the shower had no power in it. Breakfast was good, but in a 4 star hotel I do not expect to make my own toast!

The staff were very helpful & friendly, the rooms were comfortable & spacious. (Ours had a lovely sea view) a good choice of food was on offer for breakfast. We didn't have time for "the full works", but could see that it looked good from other guests' plates. The hotel hosts a fair amount of weddings at weekends, so if you decide to stay then, you are made aware that there may be a degree of noise. However we have stayed before when a wedding was in full swing & had no problems whatsoever. The hotel is nice & central as well, so if you like to explore the town or pop out for a drink or two, you don't have far to go at the end of the evening. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel & will definately stay again. We stayed on the top (2nd) floor & the stairway is quite dark. Perhaps a light could be situated there, as when you open the door, the turning is a sharp one.

We loved the Brisbane House Hotel. We were upgraded without even asking when we booked in and the room was beautifull and very comfortable with a lovely sea view. The food is excellent and you are centrel for the town. I can't fault the hotel.
