The staff were very helpful & friendly, the rooms were comfortable & spacious. (Ours had a lovely sea view) a good choice of food was on offer for breakfast. We didn't have time for "the full works", but could see that it looked good from other guests' plates. The hotel hosts a fair amount of weddings at weekends, so if you decide to stay then, you are made aware that there may be a degree of noise. However we have stayed before when a wedding was in full swing & had no problems whatsoever. The hotel is nice & central as well, so if you like to explore the town or pop out for a drink or two, you don't have far to go at the end of the evening. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel & will definately stay again. We stayed on the top (2nd) floor & the stairway is quite dark. Perhaps a light could be situated there, as when you open the door, the turning is a sharp one.

lovely hotel, our first night the room was really cold although the radiators were very hot, but the rest of the hotel was also very cold, I think it had something to do with the way the wind was blowing, the next day the hotel was warmer, Could not fault the breakfast it was very good also had a meal in the hotel, excellent value for money. Would definately stay again.

Location was excellent with good sea views. Good breakfast served to order instead of buffet. Room 104 - Shower mixer was loose on the wall, Shower head wall bracket was loose, Bedside lights were unusable for reading, tv in the morning was not usable as the picture kept 'freezing'.

Very friendly staff, well appointed large rooms. As the room TV was down due to storms, we were given a £20 offer of dinner or rebate on our hotel bill. This was an excellent gesture. Weather was lousy, obviously not the hotels doing!!

Our room was comfartable and had a great view over to Millport. We were there when the storm hit and the hotel couldn't get any reception on the television even though friends who live in Largs had no problems. Little things as in the shower had no power in it. Breakfast was good, but in a 4 star hotel I do not expect to make my own toast!

We loved the Brisbane House Hotel. We were upgraded without even asking when we booked in and the room was beautifull and very comfortable with a lovely sea view. The food is excellent and you are centrel for the town. I can't fault the hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was on the sea front and only 2-3 minutes from the main part of the town close to other amenities. Rear double rooms were small, would go for the larger sea facing in future.

It was in good location to town centre overlooking beach & sea. Staff were not that helpful outside tables were dirty and ashtrays overflowing when I asked a staff member if somebody could clear them down she said they hadn't been used ?? Dining facilities more like High Street cafe. Toiletries not replaced - no tea or milk in room on arrival had to go down to request some. Overall not good impression.
