Warm friendly and helpful staff with a smile. Great facilities, amazing room and beautiful hotel. Good location, and exceeded expectations. Thanks and we look forward to coming back
Having to go home.
Comfort of room and leisure facilities. StAff we're very friendly and helpful.
Nothing we did'nt like.
Spa facilities Swimming pool, and fantastic breakfast Also the midday checkout was really good asswell
The fact you had to pay for wifi For hotels to charge for wifi in this day and age when you've just paid well over £100 for the room is shocking
We stayed at The Royal Marriot for New Year as we wanted somewhere special to see it in. It certainly lived up to expectations. The staff were pleasant, the rooms were immaculate and the hotel over all was outstanding. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious, should we ever need to stay in Bristol again The Bristol Royal Marriot Hotel will be our first choice - without hesitation!
The only con that we came across is that we have a large Volkswagen van, which wasn't able to fit in the hotels car park as it is underneath the hotel itself and too small a height restriction. So we had to park in a pay & display car park a small distance away from the hotel.
Very nice hotel very well run and stunning inside
Having to leave lol
Breakfast, swimming pool, nice room, grandeur of shared spaces
Unfortunate that the hot water failed on the last day. Not a disaster though, for us.
The suite was a very good size, nice big bed.
Typical Marriott, the food is overpriced, if your going to charge £20+ for a breakfast then at lest make it half decent. And this is going to sound petty but they didn't ask me how spicy I wanted my Bloody Mary.....
Spacious rooms, comfy beds, excellent choice at breakfast, leisure facilities, location close to harbourside
Some confusion over whether we'd pre paid and whether breakfast was included
The location is perfect for walking to all amenities and entertainments.
the rooms are beginning to look a little tired and dated.
Disappointed with standard of breakfast and service
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great Location Clean
There was no free wi fi in rooms- only in Lobby. This should be a given in any hotel
Good facilitates at hotel Great location Clean, friendly, and decent hotel Free upgrade to suite as didn't have room we booked originally
Just one issue the hot water (or lack of) in shower and bath was a nonsense - very lukewarm not in the least hot. Disappointing as a hot shower/bath would have made it perfect.
everything - especially free bottle of wine
As with all hotels the drinks were over-priced, but you would expect some mark up, but not to be paying top London prices! The breakfast was very good - you could eat as much as you wanted, and well cooked. The decoration in the bedroom was slightly tired - the bath was cracked on the top and marks on the ceiling there and the bedroom. The bed seemed to roll into the centre but apart from that would stay there again whilst visiting my relatives.
Very good value and relaxing
Staff helping me as I am disabled. The comfort and decor not trying to be like other hotels.
The ramp leaving the hotel is very steep and wheelchair had to be stopped by another guest.
Comfort, Quiet, Location, Parking on site. Attentive waiter picked up that it was my birthday, so dessert decorated with Happy Birthday words in icing, nice touch. Spacious room on 3rd floor with sofa.
Allocated room was 2 x double bed, not 1 x king size, so had to relocate, but fridge provided in room, so resolved. Having to pay for WIFi in room should not be chargeable in 2015! you would expect a Hotel of this calibre to include it. On the TV you cannot access a tv guide to see what is on the various channels.
Excellent staff and great service
We chose this hotel for its location which was perfect. Seemed like everything was from a walking distance. We also enjoyed the gym and pool and sauna... We had a great weekend there and loved the king size bed of course
the fact that even today and in such hotel, you have to pay to get the wifi n your room. Also the parking is a bit expensive.
The location was perfect for us as the hotel is right next door to the Cathedral which we visited twice to hear a visiting choir sing over the New Year period. The most welcoming Drawing Room was perfect for our family & friends get- together; warm and cosy but spacious and with excellent service. The breakfast was just amazing with eggs cooked to order and a refreshing array of fresh fruit of every kind.
Great room on third floor, the superior rooms apparently. Great view of Bristol water on NYE meant seeing fireworks displays from a room with really good facilities and space. Will definitely use again
- The beds were supremely comfortable - The breakfast was excellent. - The staff were all very helpful.
- Not having free wifi in our room - The decor in the bedroom was dated and the bathroom was in need of refurbishment - There was insufficient low level lighting in the room, this is important in a family room if you are trying to read whilst children are asleep. - A lack of electrical sockets in the room, makes charging phones and other electronic equipment very tricky. - The corridor on the 2nd floor smelt very damp.
Location was great, ideal for the waterfront area. We had a fantastic breakfast and staff really helpful and friendly. Room service were speedy and friendly too. Parking on site. We would definitely go back and stay again.
The only negative comment I have is the following. I booked on line and after checking in found our 'superior' room was the same on the website as a standard room, that is the picture and not the one shown on my booking. All that appeared different was there were slippers and dressing gowns in the cupboard. When I brought this to receptions attention they checked with house keeping and moved us immediately to a room which was the same as the picture shown on the website. Ultimately not a major issue but when paying for an upgraded room I sort of expect one. All told the staff were great in sorting it out.
Disappointed about cleanliness of showers in pool area, mouldy, water didn't drain away
Comfortable room and bed. Excellent value for money. Excellent breakfast included
No milk in room for tea. Wifi not available free of charge. Expensive meals at hotel
