Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol features Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the Avon River. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbor, where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I registered historic Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St. Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centers at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artist Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodations, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath rail line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.
So much to do and see. I loved the whole vibe of the city - very vibrant. Loved the docks area and floating harbour. The M Shed was an amazing experience. I like the way Bristol is very open and honest about its past and link to the slave trade. The Old Vic was fantastic and the bars/pubs around there were great - went to a great jazz session. Cathedral beautiful. The Blackbeard to Banksy walking tour was so enjoyable and our tour guide really engaging and interesting. While I didnt go onto the SS Great Britain on this trip I loved the fact that you could use your ticket to come back to it throughout the year - never came across that before. Loved being on the Matthew. Loved just wandering around. Suspension bridge was a highlight and the Visitor Centre there. Will come back here again.

I did like the variety of pubs and places to eat.
I did like the variety of pubs and places to eat. I particularly enjoyed visiting the SS Great Britain, Brunel's ship that is in permanent dry dock. There is a small museum full of original parts of the ship and containing information on the recovery and restoration of the ship before it came back to Bristol. There is a stair case and disability lift that takes from street level to the base of the ship which is fully enclosed and climate controlled for preservation reasons. You can walk all the way around the hull. Afterwards you can access the deck and even find your way into the heart of the ship where you will discover how the ship's crew, passengers and cargo spent their time at sea. There are mannequins, artificial smells and audio to keep you entertained.

Just staying for two nights.
Just staying for two nights. Hotel was not great, no air con, shower control for water not working properly, breakfast was COLD. The hotel needs refurbishing.
There was a lot of water around the entrance and in the parking bays for the disabled.

Driving in Bristol is a Nightmare, so many blocked roads that your sat nav can't cope. Parking charges are outrageous. Watch out! Bristol city is a Clean Air Zone. Also watch out for Bus Lanes an Bus Gates!! (Don't follow Taxis they can use bus lanes)
Graffiti spoils a lovely architecturally inspired city, so does the garbage, drunks and homeless. Concord at Filton is a must see. Clifton and the bridge also a must but take care of your clutch on the very steep roads.

Histroric town, easily walkable with plenty of bars & restaurants on both sides of river. Studenty vibe at times which you may not be in mood for. Clifton Suspension Bridge an interesting diversion.
Excellent hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast service was superb and the breakfast arrived promptly and was perfectly cooked and well presented. My room was spotless and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities excellent.I also enjoyed the beer garden where you could order your drinks and they would be brought to the table. As Ì travelled by train I was pleased that their was a bus stop right outside the hotel which connected with Bristol Temple Meads Station and the City Centre.
The staff were very inviting from the moment we stepped inside the hotel. One staff member even gave us a map of Bristol and helped us pick out nice bars for the evening! Our room could not have been any cleaner and had everything we needed, including a hair dryer and mini fridge. We could not have asked for anything else and would 100% recommend this hotel if you are looking for something of a decent price, modern and a walking distance from the city centre.
Location great for walking to everything within the city centre including shopping centres, bars, and restaurants. Hotel easy to get to from railway station. All staff excellent - welcoming and keen to help. Every part of hotel very clean. Comfortable furnishings. There are plenty of hotels in central Bristol but I would be happy to stay in this one again.
For the cost of the room, I was pleasantly surprised at all aspects of this lovely hotel. The greeting when checking in was friendly and welcoming, the room was perfect for a short stay in Bristol and the location ideal for the harbourside and city centre (if you don't mind a short uphill walk up Park Street).
Location - walking distance to Bristol city centre and Clifton, or frequent buses nearby.
Great staff, helpful and friendly.
Excellent breakfast.
Racks, the hotel's bar and restaurant (a few minutes walk up the road) did a very good Sunday lunch.
Shower, while not a power one, was better than expected.
Love the Bristol Hotel, have stayed numerous times with work. Stayed on a Sunday en route to Cornwall, rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The location is great for the marina, bars, restaurants and the city centre is a short walk away.
Great location for exploring the city centre of Bristol. There is a huge shopping centre across the road if you feel like shopping. There is a car park provided by the hotel which was very convenient. All in all we had a great experience at Future Inn, and we highly recommended.
I know Bristol well and I picked this hotel because it was central and well priced. I didn’t intend to use the facilities or the car park.
It was clean, it was well located (close to the city centre and close to Bristol Temple Meads).
The breakfast was generous and tasty.
All members of the team at this hotel are warm and welcoming, helpful and friendly. For the main part of the stay the food here was nice also, the location is handy for a walk into the middle of Clifton or for a short journey into Bristol City Centre!
As a last-minute choice for a Bristol visit, the hotel was just fine! It's not in central Bristol, but is well-served by buses, not hard to get around at all. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet!
Clean, comfortable bed and quiet. Ideally located in city centre so perfect for attending graduation at Bristol cathedral - parking safe and secure at millennium car park and 20% discount was good from hotel.
We always start at the Bristol Harbour hotel when we are in Bristol the location is central and like that you can walk to most places, the feel and cleanliness if the hotel is also why we keep returning.
The size of the room is by far the best hotel I stayed in in Bristol and I and I stayed in a lot. The staff are Always friendly and professional I really was impressed
Room was spotlessly clean and bathroom had easy access shower , breakfast was well stocked , location was perfect for Bristol Temple Meads train station
