I didn't like anything. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Beyond tired, this hotel is dead. The leisure facilities are unclean, the noise from other guests in adjoining rooms is unbearable, you can hear your neighbour sneeze. Food is bad. The reception staff are cold and unhelpful. I hated my stay here, will never stay again.

Was not allowed in to restaraunt because a tour got precedence directed to a large function room no one else there so I went to bar to eat. The staff did not seem to be bothered they said the kitchen was closed I told them it was still open and serving food upstairs they then told me there was no potatoes or chips when I ordered my steak they demanded to be payed up front I complained but was told this was policy I find this policy unaceptable and should be reviewed immeadiatly when the steak arrived with no potatoes or chips it was stringy and diffcult to chew over all I felt unfulfilled.

Staff were nice enough but bedroom and bathroom badly in need of an update. Net curtains had holes, half ceiling in bathroom covered in mould from shower, wire sticking out wall with no plug on end, hole which showed a radiator pipe underneath, drinks left from maid or last occupiers. The list is endless. Pool very small too. Looks much cleaner and bigger on website. Not like that at all.

The staff were indifferent, not rude but not friendly or welcoming. The bar in the hotel "village pub" closed at 2220 on the night I arrived. The atmosphere was so depressing I never went in again. After my first night experience in the hotel bar I decided not to have breakfast or dinner in the hotel. I was informed by another guest that he attempted to have dinner in the hotel at 2000hrs but was informed that they had stopped serving food.

The room was big, two double beds, so would be great for a family. And the bed was comfortable The breakfast was inedible! The staff seemed sad and a bit unengaged and by the posters all over the place advertising 2011 events seem to suggest poor management.
