Disabled access to street and restaurant is poor. The staff did their best with antiquated equipment but a proper customer-operated lift is needed.

Away from the lobby which is very plush the place stinks. Rooms are small and shabby, plumbing is very noisey at night and wakes you up, staff in the bar are poor for service, bars everywhere if the place is less than full, £12 extra for a carpark which is a stoney empty space 100m from the hotel is ridiculous and not advertised, £2 to pay by c Card turned a cheap £48 room into a £60 rip off, roll on the next Premier Travel Inn (I am sorry I doubted you now)

Ambience, nostalgic and amazing! Reception Desk staff were very nice .

We ordered room service ( a continental breakfast) which didn't arrive, we indicated specific time as instructed and we waited and waited, very disappointed left hotel very hungry :(

on this visit, room not very clean, old socks of previous customer found! on day 1 early morning call never materialised

First appearance of the hotel, lovely grand building and very pleasant staff.

The 'M' corridor which is hidden away and appears to be left behind any decoration or any standards the hotel has.

some of the old features are good but it needs a revamp to mix modern comfort with old the staff are really nice professional and accommodating

the bathroom with NO extractor so was quite smelly the dust everywhere especially on the lights

Customer service was very erratic. I had issues at check out and e- mailed the hotel- no responce both to a named individual at the hotel and the chains web site Very disappointing.

Location to railway station , ease for bus-transport access also - wanted to watch a football game at Anfield stadium - very close to bus route.

I loved the design of the hotel, the history behind it and the brilliant staff.

I did not find fault with anything.

An excellent location, 5 minutes from Liverpool Lime street station and Liverpool one. The waterfront is just a 15 minute walk.

Sadly, this once institution is in serious need of dragging into the 21st century. You know that behind its fake marble bathrooms and tired furnishings, it must have been very grandiose at one point, but sadly, that is definitely no longer the case. The rooms are of moderate size but out-dated and (at least on the night I stated there) stuffy. What I presume was once the grand ballroom is now just dotted with random chairs and optimistically called 'the lounge' however Gods waiting room would have been more appropriate. In truth, there is nothing desperately wrong with this hotel, it's just a little depressing!

The location, the hotel was clean and tidy. Checking in staff were excellent and helpful.

You would expect £140.00 per night to include breakfast in a place like this. The checking out guy was a bit miserable a thank you for staying and was everything ok for you is usual at most places when checking out.

To be honest, there was very little to like. There was plenty of hot water.

Uncomfortable beds and pillows. No wifi outside of one lounge area. No climate control. Thin walls and a very loud hotel. Understaffed, so expect to wait for even the smallest things. Broken tv in two different rooms. It was an incredibly unpleasant stay.

Friendly , helpful staff. Great location for exploring the city, reasonable price for the central location. Nice sized room and well set up for wheelchair user. Overall, very happy with the service received and the price paid.

Slow reception service when checking in. Need more staff working at busy check in times. also encourage staff who aren't dealing with customers not to work at the front as it appears very customer unfriendly, especially when a queue is building up. Modify entrance for accessibility purposes. The long winded way of getting in And out for wheelchair users is not great for such a central, prominent hotel and with a bit of investment could easily be modified and would probably encourage people to return for repeat visits and recommend to friends and family. This is the only reason why we would think twice about staying again. Very simply, it was a bit of a pain for my husband who is a wheelchair user to keep having to ask a porter to use the stair lift every time we wanted to go out.I appreciate that the building is old but may other places manage to get around structural issues to make fully accessible. Similarly, make the external directional signage for wheelchair users clear and accurate as they are currently neither.

Handy to where I was going. Very nice compared to some of the similar priced places id stayed in lately.when I hsd problems with with the air conditioning in the 1st room they upgraded me to a better room with a window etc.soso much better than the sachas britania I stayed in near piccadilly gardens in Manchester

Breakfast was a little too packed in.& more than I wanted to spend on just a lite breakfast.but really these were just minor irritations couldnt find any problems

everyone seemed happy to be staying at the Adelphi. Nice room.We only used the room for sleeping so never dined etc.What we had was good value for money.

Pity you havnt got another area that you could send the smokers to rather than them accumulating on the lovely entrance to the hotel. A uniformed doorperson on the front would look good. So many people around the front entrance makes it look tatty. Not a bit like when I went for a job there 55 years ago as a Bell hop

Its so Old world ..you just dont get this anymore..it has charm and the most lovley huge bath! staff lovley and helpful...would defo stay again!

was loud after 1am outside with hen/stags shouting outisde but i did have window open as it was warm..but it was kinda funny listening to them..and it is city centre..so would expect really!
