Score from 2202 reviews Superb
Entrance and elegance of the rooms and faded glory
Some of the moveable fixtures eg TV and kettle etc., could be updated!
Clean and comfortable, hotels room are dated but a nice stay in the heart of Liverpool.
The only positive point is that it is in the city centre.
The room had a musty smell, wallpaper was stained and peeling. The bedside lamp was thick with dust, the chairs were filthy beyond words and incineration would be the only option. Best of all was the light switch did not work so you had to keep the door open to get light from the hallway so you could get to the bedside light
Bar. central location
Room needs painted Hard to find room when drunk
Location History Architecture
Great old building that has seen better days
The staff were very good. friendly and helpful
Our room and the public rooms looked a bit shabby, in need of refurbishment
.location perfect only reason we d stay there
Hotel very old and in need of a makeover shower facilities very dated.
Location; elegance of building; convenient parking
The location of the hotel was very central
The lift sounded like it was going to break, we were down in a basement didn't like it! The toilets were flushing all night and the cleaners were ignorant and walked into the room at 9am while we were still asleep.
The Lobby and the exterior are befitting of the reputation the building once had within the city and the country. The Adelphi was a place where the rich and famous would get together and stay during their visit to liverpool. And the lobby area is befitting of that status.
As opposed to the lobby area, the rooms look like they haven't been touched in 40 years. The walls are cracking and the decor is dated. The bathrooms where unclean and the electrical sockets looked dangerous. A real shame for a building with such character and it's disheartening for a scouser like myself to witness that.
great location large rooms en-suite
noise from lift next to our room slightly dusty in places that could easily have been cleaned
Could be a really good hotel
Dates decor, furniture dangerously old. Disapponting
Dirty rooms holes in doors and walls dated interior my dog sleeps in more luxurious conditions
Good location close to railway station convenient for shopping and dining out Friendly, helpful staff. No problem to change bedroom when requested.
First impression of exterior not inviting. Very untidy around main entrance. Perhaps due to volume of tour busses on the day we arrived
The hotel rooms where dirty they where not cleaned properly before we arrived. Bins where not emptied daily bed was not made for us. Very poor all round would not recommend.
Location is excellent
They should change bedsheets everyday. Washrooms should be cleaner
Room was sweltering in mid September for no reason. Noisy. Tiny bed. Over priced, Unclean. Looked about 600 years out of date. Breakfast was like eating my dogs vomit warmed up. Staff were rude and unhelpful and the place is like a maze. If I was offered to stay here again or sleep under a car, I would go to the nearest car I could find. Avoid.
Hayley was absolutely fantastic! Could not have asked for a better service! Credit to the company! Thank you very much!
Location excellent. Food & drink very cheap. I don't know what else to write that was good. The staff were all very polite and pleasant.hfidwhfwdhfdhvnnjcsn klscjjsdvcsvdjsdjvclksdnvsldjvsdvjdvihjvncnsidjciosdjvsovdijsdoivhjjiosvhjvu9fewihjncncnxzjijvciosuvsidcijdvcjjxz
The bar was just short of sawdust. It was awful. It was full of old people who looked like they were all on benifit. The room was not very good and the lift was cronically slow dealing with all the guests with Zimmer frames. I didn't like Queing up for a seat every morning for Breakfast either.
location is good close to city center
bellboy wasn't available during my check in & check out. abit noisy at midnight room wasn't prepered with facilities
Smell off smoke asked for double bed got two single wooden beds absolute disgrace
Too hot old TVs.
The grand Edwardian feel about it
The room was too hot to sit in. When opening the window it didn't make much difference. The temperature was tropical and we were unable to sleep. This ruined my experience at the hotel.
