Everything, so much history , staff excellent, room so clean and comfortable , nothing a problem
Nothing not to like
all very good nice room
This hotel is in an excellent location for the shops and the nightlife. I travelled with a group of friends and asked for all our rooms to be next to each other, the hotel accomodated this request, the check in was fast and the reception staff were very friendly. The building is a beautiful. Good value for money,
Not a lot really, the only fault if we had to say was the barmaid in the residents bar was a bit unfriendly when asking customers to leave at the end of the night.
The room was nice and clean bed was comfy .I would like just one little carton of milk to have a nice cup of coffe in the morning! The breakfast was good Thanks.
At breakfast I had a jug of coffe on the table which was nearly cold! When I had the tea it was the same.! I'm sure that was a one off!
Great staff, very spacious communal areas, good, secure parking and very central location
It was let down a bit by the bedroom. Ok it was a standard room, but it was small and the bathroom was a bit shabby.
It is an impressive building or rather you can tell it once was.
Teeny room, uncomfortable bed, where you could feel the springs, the duvet was extremely thin, and the pillows were exceptionally flat, and a teeny weeny tv screen, so I suppose it helped having such a small room!
Felt like it was falling apart and was an embarrassing reflection of what a grand hotel should look like. Somebody could make this hotel very special but it is so far gone that it would not be economical .
Everything about this hotel ticks all the boxes. The room we had was dated, but, we loved it! we hope that the decor stays as it is for a long time to come.Best place to stay
Hotel is great. Great location as centre of Liverpool is just over the road .would highly recommend this hotel.
The art deco in the main rooms.
Small room at the back with no view. Couldn't use the restraurant for breakfast because it was too busy.
Superb hotel, just a little tired in some areas. Staff seem a little stretched at times, but always pleasant and helpful. Overall, very good we would always return.
No lights in 506.man on reception unhelpful. Another man helped us move to 253. good but carpet needed vacuuming. Breakfasts good but crowded. Dangerous practice of carrying trays of hot food amongst jostling guests, even down steps.
Superb town centre location Excellent bar prices Staff were very helpful
The antiquated lift The breakfast was only average but was edible Beds were on the small side and I am under 6 feet tall.
Price Quality of hotel Room size Facilities Location
Room a long way from lift! A minor problem
Although this hotel is close to all amenities it lacked atmosphere and definitely needs to be brought up to date.
Our first room was awful they gave us an upgrade to a bigger room at £10each very dated . The housekeeping was not up to standard we had to ask for someone to clean room replenish towels
Found a USED CONDOM under the table in my room. Have had no response as yet after filling out a complaint form. DISGUSTING
Location, food, and staff were extremely good. A great price too! I inadvertently left an item in my room, which was forwarded to me without any fuss.
The hotel was very busy especially at breakfast. You need to leave yourself plenty of time as the queue moves slowly.
great location, huge car park, comfy bed, large bedroom
quite old fashioned and in need of paint/carpets. bathroom in a strange hallway off bedroom
Some furnishings need recovering as looking shabby in bars and carpets need changing bedrooms need some work also and clothes hangers are a pain
excellent position for visitng the city and arriving by train at Lime Street station
Rather noisy during the night from traffic
Location was perfect
No easy access to a bar/drinks at meal times
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, this place needs completely gutting and start again, it's rotten.
Room waqs extremely spacious. Hotel has character. Staff managed to get heating on early - see 'didn't likes'
Bathroom tiles were in need of 'deep' clean or replacement. Heating was not scheduled to come on early enough. Room was cool when we arrived back from city.
Location was great for the Empire Theatre.
The Hotel was tired and shabby but the worst thing was the dirt, it was filthy and the room we had..... after complaining and being moved was desperately in need of refurbishment and the bathroom smelt, definitely would not go back.
Needs major restoration.
Cleanliness of lift areas and steps outside. Also wall in room 648 very dirty, could do with a clean as it is stained near curtains as though someone has spilt coffee all over and not been cleaned. Also lamp did not work on dressing table.
