Perfect location for city centre attractions.

Size of rooms and bathroom Clean towels everyday History of hotel - it is full of character
Rooms were too hot Seats in the bar were unclean Rooms were noisy (2nd floor) as function below was taking place until 12.30am

Excellent location, great hotel, just what we wanted for our 4 night stay Definitely wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.
Our room was filthy and all hairs on bath room floor and very loud till 5 o'clock am
Due to the location it was very noisy. So did not sleep well. Checking in was slow and we were ignored whilst waiting for check in.
the location and the spa
being woken up twice in the morning by staff trying to clean the room and the heat in the room plus lack of ventilation.
The hotel smelt and looked dirty on the 6th floor
location,and the building has class,
I think you let it down with very tarnished carpets and furniture in the bar and other rooms.
Location and price Breakfast
Lack of tea, coffee and sugar in room. bed was uncomfortable Dripping water noises from the forecourt being heard through window.
Shower kept going boiling hot
Lifts too small for such a large hotel!
Good onsite fac - near wetherspoons & egg resturant & great bands on for Beatles weekend
car park pricey
Room was spacious Bathroom was warm and plenty of hot water Reception staff were efficient
Breakfast. Crockery and glassware were not clean. Breakfast staff did not provide thorough service. Bathroom very outdated. Room in need of update
The scale and character of the hotel is breathtaking The staff were friendly and efficient in dealing with our requests. Central location means all the city attractions are only a short walking distance away.
Even allowing for the age of the hotel some of the internal fixtures and fittings were a little tired and tatty
It was comfortable
Nostalgia of what was once a grand old hotel. The rooms were also very large. The staff were also friendly.
the double bed was 2 single beds together as you often find on the continent, but I don't like and the rooms are a bit tired overall.
Very good internet in room Good central location
Noisy Breakfast very very poor. Bland and tasteless, too much salt. Not value for money.
Superb location. Friendly and efficient staff. Requested a quiet room and was accommodated.
A bit worn.
the shower: no good water pressure, the mixing of cold and hot water isn't optimal, but more annoyingly the shower curtain sticks on you while having a shower... issue of space of course!
Noise as windows not properly double glazed
Location of hotel
Having to pay for parking, not made aware of this when booking.
The fact that despite this hotel being a very historical building, with a great many famous people having stopped there..with a grandeur appearance from the outside,,,and in ...you are just as at home, wearing jeans and a t shirt,as you are in a suit and tie.Its a very relaxed place.
Old style grandness & decor which is not matched in modern hotels.
Choice for breakfast was good but quality of sausage poor. Scrambled egg was also dry & unappetising.
