Location is brilliant , delighted with it . So close to all the shops.
Food spilled all down the wall in the bedroom and very noticeable on the skirting boards . Wasn't very nice . Otherwise everything was ok , needs a little up date on the decorating, but as said very happy with location .
Location Faded opulence
Breakfast-poor choice, poor quality , badly served & presented
I like the location, size of hotel and room, free wifi, pleasant staff and price paid
Room was very dated, carpet, furniture, window frames were grubby, road noise all night
Location and the hotel character
location was spot on
the cleaner walking in our room 8 in the morning when we were not due out till 11 !! could not open the window in the room and heating was constantly on high despite lowering the temperature dial
Excellent location, grand old interiors
Dirty towel in bathroom, decor very tired , TV very old model , poor reception few channels, security appeared an issue lots of warning notices. Breakfast poor quality ingredients.
Hotel in dire need of refit
Check in great room very spacious.
Bathroom needs attention urgently. Loose edges on wallpaper in bedroom simple to fix and tv very old - dated.
Nice and roomy
jaccuzi didn't work
Bathroom poor, shower not working, plug in sink wrong size water went straight out. Toilet would not flush.
We stayed for two nights and both mornings house keeping were walking in unannounced around 9am, complete invasion of privacy, had to get changed in the bathroom incase someone came in again
the room was lovely
location and room size
room too hot , we had the stat at 35c !!! and were not made aware of a stat in the room to turn it down !!and noise from plumbing
Easy access and good location
Rooms too old fashioned - need updating. E.G TV and Bathroom Parking prices
I liked the old charm that still shines through from its glory days. Good location.
There was no excuse for such an old, worn out mattress. We had to sleep on top of the duvet. (We asked for another) This could easily be sorted with a good mattress cover at the very least. The cathode ray tube TV just made the room look even more dated.
The chandeliers and down stairs were lovely. Room s need to be more plush .
Appalling rooms that haven't been updated for decades. No aircon, poor gym shabby communal areas
Staff and breakfast was exelent
staff, location, the building
Spend some money on the place
I loved the room and how grand the building was
I felt the bathroom was very dated and not very clean
The location was ideal, decor had character.
Hotel is old and needs some attention, breakfast was a disappointment.
Very central to City Centre. Room lovely and warm as visited in December
Car Park could have better surface
