Score from 1133 reviews Very good
outdated in room and bathroom
Staff very good
the cleanliness is bad ,the facilities is not very old
Only plus point was the convenience of the train station and other attractions
Where do you start? I was hoping for a comfortable few days. Oh dear. Terrible breakfast for the price. One of the lifts out of order (had been for some considerable time). Staff being rude to paying guests. Grotty bedroom. Wallpaper peeling off.
Friendly staff and quick service
A bit frustrating with the wifi poor connection.
The beds were comfortable . Food in Jenny's restaurant was good
It could do with a lick of paint. Cleaning could be much better , especially at lift areas .
Size of the room, great locality
Inadequate heating in the bedroom
Overall nice hotel.
The light of the bathroom were not working and including the lift.
everything was perfect stay
i liked everything
The staff was very professional. Room was clean.
Building needs upgraded, lift was out of order, mattress I would personally like to be thicker.
Marble and space unusual and opulent feel. Marble swimming pool.
The relaxed atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.
Wasn't happy that I didn't take a swim suit with me and I would have loved to stay longer.
Loved the location was right next to train station plus near to local bars and shopping centre
The location was ideal for shopping, visiting the theatre and walking distance from Lime Street Station. Large carpark to the rear costing only £12 for a 24 hour period.
The hotel would have been fabulous in its day, but in desperate need of a major refurb to the bedrooms. Bathrooms are dated, having a shower was like standing under a tap rather than a nice spray. When you sat on mattress it completely flattened and felt as though sleeping on a board. Decor and furniture very tired. No option to turn the heating down, room was extremely hot! Breakfast, had to ask for glasses for juice, hot food was not topped up quickly enough and there was no sauce available, no croissants with the continental just thick slices of bread. At £164 for the night the room was well overpriced, would not stay here again.
Location and staff
Dirty room, very old. Stayed many times before, but this was the last time...
Staff were very attentive and helpful cleaned the room well
Not enough milk in the room, noisey and chilly at times
The hotel was in an excellent position close to Lime Street Station and the shopping centres. The hotel was impressive, elegant and welcoming. Wide corridors helped when taking luggage to the room. Decoration throughout the hotel was in keeping with the building.
One lift was out of order due to maintenance but this could be "lived with"
Enjoyed the character of the hotel
Bed too hard for my liking
Central location, close to the railway station and easy to find. Good large comfortable lounge area.
Room furniture was shabby, had a foisty smell, fan in bathroom was filthy. Reception staff not helpful with WIFI code. Breakfast bar layout was atrocious for the number of people and only one functioning lift opposite reception.
attitude of receptionist on arrival and being put onto the floor allocated for smokers without being asked or told until we reported the smell of smoke in our room
We were on the 6th floor and lift was constantly full, room was tiny the bathroom was right beside the bed. no wifi in rooms and poor in general areas. We had a 6am flight and asked the reception that evening if the night porter would get us a taxi, he refused and told us to wait outside where we had great difficulty in getting a taxi to stop, one driver eventually did and took pity on us as we were in danger of missing flight having waiting an hour to get a taxi. Will not be going back.
Easy access to train stations
First night no towels, night before we left 2 towels for 2 people, could not get wifi connection.
everything about the place is one, staff are not nice , in terrible need to repair
