The best part is the location it is close to railway station/bus- stand/pubs eating restaurants..so the location is EXCELLENT..The free internet worked good..so folks if you are looking for a place in terms of conveniance to public transport,,,eating places..this is the place to be..The reception was helpfull & good..Didnt use the bar/resturant so cannot comment..I Ate out simply because there was enough variatyv of places catering to diffrent types of cuisne around .Room was comfortable..and toilet clean.. Folks the rooms are small..Not For two persons luggage if you are an international traveler..Ask for bigger rooms..Room cleaning service very poor..Never had my sheets changed or room floor cleaned during my whole stay. The towels had very bad stains on them. This is despite my repeated complaints to the reception..

Stayed in this hotel as had travelled from Glasgow to Manchester for a flight to Tuniisia. Although only stayed one night thought hotel was very homely and comfortable and would have no hesitation in using it again.

comfortable, nice and quiet and a good price poor breakfast - no yoghurt, no veggie option and generally a bit limited, would not want to stay more than one night. Also no parking except on street or in expensive car park

I It met our needs for the purpose of our stay. Unfortunately we didn't have time to make full use of the facilities. It met the expectations of a 2* rating with the added extras included i.e. toiletries, availabilities of tea/coffee in the room. Staff were pleasant and helpful arranging a taxi for us. Only negative comments was the breakfast tmes are too short, we would have had breakfast but it finished at 10.00am( especially on a weekend). The room could have been warmer, it was cold when we arrived and in the morning when getting up and there was lots of condensation on the windows and water running onto the sills, double glazing would be benefical.

Really impressed after previously reading reviews which were not always too complimentary. This is a friendly comfortable hotel and located in the very nice village of Hale. Only about 10 minutes from the airport and I would certainly recommend this to my friends. We only staying for breakfast which was excellent. The value was amazing especially for New Years Eve. No not really, it could do with updating and the car park is not convenient.

Central location was very convenient. Non smoking room booked. Smoking room allocated. Nearest car parking necessitated early morning rush to pay fee before traffic warden arrived. Britannia Ashley should negotiate some arrangement to allow guests a more convenient way to pay.

The 24 hour check-in, cheap Room wasn't cleaned between nights stay, no drinks fridge, bath tap difficult to work out how to use, free toileteries very low quality, parking in public car park which needed paying for, false alarm went off in night - no apology, over bed lamps not positioned either side of bed - , one just above pillow so that you bang your head on it. Lift does not go down to ground floor where exit is so no use for wheel chair users, very noisy at night - thin walls so could hear voices from several other rooms and could hear noise from street/bars below (was on third floor) - hard to get to sleep.

Location The Britannia Ashley hotel must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed. When arriving at 10.30 in the evening I was told that the system had gone down and could not be allocated a room for two hours. I explained that this was unacceptable and after half hour was given a room. When entering the room I found it was already occupied and a man was sleeping who woke up very upset. I then complained and after another half hour was given a family room of three single beds and which smelt very bad of cigarette smoke. When complained that I had booked a doble bed was told sorry thats all that is available and it is a smoking room. The whole room was very dirty. I paid the bill and then was told could not get a receipt until the morning. When requesting a receipt in the morning was told sorry receipts are not available so you need to write to Britannia hotels. I cannot believe how this hotel is still open ! My advise would be to look for alternative accommodation.

Situation convenient. Able to make last minute single room booking on line with no fuss. Having to pay £2 for using my debit card. Next time would bring more cash! Car Park - it was a nuisance having to deal with car always at 8.00am if I wanted a lie in.
