Nice Hotel very well priced. The Breakfast could have run for another 1/2 hour as my young nephew was up late and could have done with more sleep.

Good value for money :-) Staff were friendly, Room was clean, Bed was comfortable, shower was hot and powerful. If you just need a bed to rest your head, I would say it was more comfortable than any Premier inn or Travel Lodge I've been to, for 1/3 of their price. They also didnt mind us having our kids in with us in travelbeds and they apparently even accept pets (we may bring the dogs next time :)). Service was very good - they responded immediately to fix out shower and quickly posted my charger out after I accidentally left it behind. For the money it was everything we needed. This isn't the sort of hotel you'd want to relax all day in, it doesn't have a nice lobby or brilliant decor, we didnt try the £5 breakfast, watch much tv and I doubt it has any pool/gym facilities etc. but we didn't need any of that.

It was all quite good although the entrance and stairways were not very attractive. The bedroom and en suite were very clean and suitable for a one night stay over following a flight and whilst waiting for onward transport. Only negative really was the night light. When the main ceiling light was switched off a green night light remained on with this fitment. So an eery green light shone down on my face all night. Not very conducive to a good night's sleep1

Stopped at this hotel because we had a late flight into Manchester airport making it to late for driving home. I had to wait at least 5 minutes before a man came through from serving at the bar and said to wait a minute, it was at least 15 mins later before he came through and checked us in, with no apology. The furniture in room was very dated and holes in bed sheets. Could not bear to be in hotel any longer than necessary left at 7.30 am

comfortable, nice and quiet and a good price poor breakfast - no yoghurt, no veggie option and generally a bit limited, would not want to stay more than one night. Also no parking except on street or in expensive car park

Really impressed after previously reading reviews which were not always too complimentary. This is a friendly comfortable hotel and located in the very nice village of Hale. Only about 10 minutes from the airport and I would certainly recommend this to my friends. We only staying for breakfast which was excellent. The value was amazing especially for New Years Eve. No not really, it could do with updating and the car park is not convenient.

Central location was very convenient. Non smoking room booked. Smoking room allocated. Nearest car parking necessitated early morning rush to pay fee before traffic warden arrived. Britannia Ashley should negotiate some arrangement to allow guests a more convenient way to pay.

Location The Britannia Ashley hotel must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed. When arriving at 10.30 in the evening I was told that the system had gone down and could not be allocated a room for two hours. I explained that this was unacceptable and after half hour was given a room. When entering the room I found it was already occupied and a man was sleeping who woke up very upset. I then complained and after another half hour was given a family room of three single beds and which smelt very bad of cigarette smoke. When complained that I had booked a doble bed was told sorry thats all that is available and it is a smoking room. The whole room was very dirty. I paid the bill and then was told could not get a receipt until the morning. When requesting a receipt in the morning was told sorry receipts are not available so you need to write to Britannia hotels. I cannot believe how this hotel is still open ! My advise would be to look for alternative accommodation.
