Good location for Manchester Airport. Friendly and helpful Reception staff.
Bed was hard as a rock. Furniture and fittings rather tired. Toilet cistern dripped all night.
location was very good and staff helpful and friendly
Breakfast very poor expensive for the quality
Nothing at all ,, No atmosphere ,
Not much ,nobody to help with suitcase ,downstep up steps into lift !! up and down in lift !! out of lift down steps to bedroom , would definitely not visit again . Staff could not be bothered !! No water in washbasin in bathroom ,, Not good at all . Beryl Williams .
For once my room at this hotel had a socket above the mirror, which is always useful. Friendly desk staff.
The bed was hard, no soap in the bathroom, milk not replenished for my second night (only two available originally), stained pictures on the walls, an extra pillow from the wardrobe was dusty. The worse thing, however, was that the heating was blasting on a very mild night and could not be switched off, resulting in a very poor nights sleep, even with the window and heavy curtain open.

Too many stairs. Lift too slow. No public toilet
Staff very friendly, cost very reasonable
Difficult to find much better directions required, postcode no use at all. We had to telephone hotel after driving around for 30 minutes
proximity to airport cheap parking in local car park
above co-op, had to go up stairs to lift, lift scarily rattly, room dirty, no headboard, old telly on low stand so you couldnt watch it from the bed, thin mattress, one thin pillow per person, spare in wardrobe with no pillow case. shockingly bad service in bar, bar tender didnt seem to understand the concept of a rum and coke, had to point out the rum, ask for coke, ask for ice. just awfull all round and for £59 a room, not cheap for this standard
Location was excellent for pick up from airport,
Smell of stale smoke througout the place
Hale is a lovely location with superb dining facilities to suit all tastes, on the rail link into Manchester, ten minutes drive to the airport and on the edge of the lovely Cheshire countryside - and then there's the hotel price price. It can't be beaten.
I remember the hotel being built - and it hasn't changed very much since then. The interior decor is pretty tired looking but it's perfectly acceptable, particularly when you think of the price.
I've stayed here 3 nights and could ask for more from the hotel. A very nice guy on reception unfortunately don't know the name tall young with quite long guy very friendly and really made our stay pleasant. Ask them to get you a taxi to the airport and benefit of a fix rate of £10. We asked to do not be disturbed and housekeeping left a bag with extra towels tea coffee and amenities on our door a very nice touch. Will certainly go back if go to Manchester again.
It was fair enough
Not as near airport as I had been told by Booking.com. Maps and ways of getting there were lacking.
Good location for airport (£10 taxi fare) and very reasonable price considering it's near an airport. Reception staff member who checked us in was really helpful & friendly & offered to print our boarding passes for us as we had had to change our flights. There's a co-op shop next door.
Rooms not great, a bit shabby & smelt a bit mouldy & musty. Ok if you just need a bed for the night near the airport.
Just need a place to park.
Dirty room, old windows, old bathroom
I arrived on a cold October day. The room was freezing. I asked staff who said heating comes on later . It did come on, but I awoke in the morning cold. The hot water was off. I called reception who told me the boiler had broken & being worked on. It did get fixed. Room condition poor, dirty
Easy access to a range of places to eat. A quite nights sleep and helpful staff. Worn but clean, OK bed, good hot shower. Everything I needed for an overnight stop. Good value for money.
Staff were helpful and friendly, except the night receptionist called my room in error at 5.25am!
Call AT 5.25am for a taxi!! I'd booked one at 10am.
The fact that after landing at 2am we then had to mess around trying to get change for a car park. And our room stank of cigarette smoke
Breakfast; food good and staff helpful and polite.
Light located directly above my pillow. Night porter unhelpful. Holder for fire extinguisher empty, caused a bit of anxiety.
room was good and comfy and staff were helpful and pleasant. I would stay there again.
breakfast too expensive. cleaning of bathroom could be better. a little dowdy in places.
The price and the friendly receptionist.
The sink was dirty, cup had hairs in it, the toilet roll looked like it had sick on it. Having been a hotel housekeeper before I know its hard work but there's no excuse for such obvious grubbiness...
Staff very friendly and enthusiastic
Hotel is very dated and tired
Cheap, good value for money and close to Manchester Airport. Staff lovely and very helpful.
Needs upgrading but then it wouldn't be as cheap
