the breakfast was enjoyable and with plenty of choice. the room we had facing the precinct was quite noisy in the morning, having been woken up three times by the street cleaners, also, when we checked out off our room, there was nowhere for us to leave luggage until later as the facility was full. |

this hotel is perfectly located in the centre of birmingham really close to new street station. it is great value for money and the rooms are comfortable with everything you need for an overnight stay. on friday night the hotel was a bit noisy, the rooms are not very soundproof and depending on where you are you can hear other guests in the corridors. |

The staff were helpful, well presented and tried to resolve matters within their limits The hotel room were not up to standard, their was poor lighting within the bedroom area which made it difficult to read a book or even get ready in the morning. The bed mattress was absolutely of the poorest quality, the springs were sticking out, we asked for a change of room and were given a alternative room it but the mattress in the 2nd room was again the same. The two nights spent at Britannia I had minimum sleep, it was a bad experience for me and my partner and we have gone away with back and shoulder pain. Over all I am truly dissapointed with the service, the reputation of the hotel and quality of rooms does not match. It is a shame as the hotel is siutuated in a ideal location within the city centre. |

Just perfect for me. So close to the rail station and everything. My room was also very clean, as some people have told something else. Totally silent, too. And as more than one visitor has criticized that the elevators are slow, so maybe the hotel has new ones: now they are quick. The personell was nice enough. And the bargain price great! To say something, I had a wish to get a room on the street side and even as I got the key, the receptionist assured that it really is on the street side. However, the room was on the yard side. So that was not nice. It would have been ok, if she had said downstairs; sorry, I dont have free rooms on the other side. |

The location and price were excellent. The room was lovely and comfortable. The reception staff were not great, they gave me wrong information on 2 occasions which is unacceptable. Reception staff should know about the surrounding area. |

As a regular I find the location good for my work. Trouser press and remote control did not work. No coffee sachets in room, I had to collect from reception. Always long waits for lift although better than last visit when only 1 of 2 was working. Most annoying was that I rang the Hotel (three times and a long wait) to ascertain the special nearby Multi-Storey Car Parking terms that I had seen listed at the hotel on my last visit and was advised that it was £13 for 24 hours. As this was not "special" I parked on-street only to be told on check-in that it was £6 - cheaper than the visits to the meter in the rain that I had to make! |

Location is excellent: station, shops, restaurants and ICC all within easy walking distance. Large quiet room. Economical. Staff appeared uninterested in creating a good impression. Hotel has a tired feel. |

Location was great, Open 24 hours so easy to get into late at night, cheap last minute booking! The bed was the poorest quality, the windows were so thin you could hear the noise outside, there were a few stains all over the room, including the bathroom, the TV had poor reception and quality. |

the location is fantastic for shopping/eating out which was our main reason for staying here.beds are comfy and the brekkie is tasty!four of us stayed in 2 twin rooms and they were right next to each other which was perfect.we would definatly stay here again..... the bath in both rooms was filthy but useable.the luggage room is too small.we wanted to store our luggage on our final day and couldnt and ended up dragging it with us for the next 5 hours untill we returned to the airport. |
