Close to shopping and winter market. Offered an alternative room on 9th floor, but still had to set up / programme the TV myself.
First double room not as advertised. Gulf between quality of similar rooms on different floors. Second room windows had not been cleaned for ages. Air conditioning in second room did not work and had to use an electric heater - cable not long enough. Had to set up / programme the TV myself. No decaf coffee.
excellently placed hotel for xmas market. good price.
could be cleaner and needs better tvs and programmes
Location is great for going about town
Staff member who checked us in was very unprofessional, chewing gum and not welcoming!! She checked us in the wrong room, we had booked the executive suit and were checked into a standard room!! The state of it was very disappointing! Dusty with old furniture! Had to go back to the reception from the 7th floor to get the matter resolved. The man who served us the second time was nice and polite :) from my experience I would give it 2 stars at the most
Excellent location, very clean
Decor a bit dated
someone else's used tissue in bedside draw!!
Constant banging even tho we were on the outside wall which can only be down to staff, too many health risks!
Great location for new st station, ideal for a stopover on a drinking night out
the room was spotless and bed lining was super clean and fresh.
i did not sleep all night as the noise from the street was horrendous untill gone 4.30 in the morning.
Location and reasonable cost
I love the location, and the facilities are good. It is value for money.
No internet access in the room. This should be improved.
The cleanness of towels.
The noise, the creepy environment of the rooms, no wifi in the rooms, the portrait paintings in the rooms that 'stare' at you.
where the hotel was situated. the half price parking. price of the room. Reception staff were very friendly.
location, near train station and shops
My room was horrible - no basic hygiene standarts - dirty toilet seat, dirty bathtub with hair, dirty sink, dust everywhere, black window nets, dirty windows, carpet not hoovered long time, very uncofmortable mattress. The only things what was clean, was bed linen and towels, thank God.
Bargain hotel, clean, warm, friendly, comfortable, excellent location, cannot praise it enough. Would return again
Great Location Friendly Staff good bar Great shower
The hotel looks tired! All the carpets up the stairs and in my room look very worn and in many places stained and dirty. The doors also were not clean and chipped. The springs in the bed were not great and I could feel them when I got into the bed.
The check inn service was fast but the staff was rude, The bedroom could have done with a good clean dust on top of skirting boards. The Breakfast was of a very poor standard toast was warm soft bread rather than fresh toast.
The water pressure and the fact it was in the shopping high street.
Booked a premium twin on line, when can to boom in they had us down as a standard double.told them this was wrong, they then gave us a triple which wasn't the cleanest. Finally was given a twin, wouldn't of said this was their premium either. Upset from start to finish.
There was no wifi at the rooms
The hotel is in a good location to the shops and Christmas market.
When you opened the door to the room it smelt musty and the windows were constantly steamed up, one of the glass tumblers in the bathroom was dirty (toothpaste still on rim) and the sink in the bathroom had a very large crack in it. We had a disturbed nights sleep as the people in the next room were very noisy into the early hours and we were also awaken by a large bang at 4am. We were also not allowed to leave our suitcases at the hotel and had to take them around the shops and Christmas market. We had been able to leave them there on previous visits.
Only location. The hotel is located at city centre.
1. The room is too small. 2. The room just furnish a desk lamp.
Good customer care
Right in the centre of Birmingham amongst shops Its cheap and it's good for value
I liked the price for smack bang in the middle of the city centre. The room was a good size with lovely green curtains, lamps and tables.
I think no matter what the price bargain or not cleanness should not be comprised. I counted 5 hairs around the bath I thought thank God I am not staying the night.
Erm..... I suppose it's very central and was only 59 quid a night when everything else was at least double. Didn't eat or drink there so can't comment (residents bar closes at 11 sharp!).
Stayed on 5th floor, very dated. Room overlooked new street and and no double glazing... Or even single glazing that fits. Bed is straight out of a Mexican prison and television set from crossroads. Rooms were clean but 10 years overdue a refurb.
