They have smoking room facility
Over priced for the quality of visit. Very dirty rooms and old fashioned
Location to shops
Very dated throughout. Hasn't seen a paint brush since it opened. Wouldn't dream of having a bath due to dirty bath. Will not be going back.
Location stop on
Asked for no smoking and it stank of cig's also asked for lower floor because wife cant use lifts got given 7th floor would have rather been told no lower floors then could have booked some where else
Near train station buffet style breakfast
The room, wardrobe very unstable, tv very old could only get 4 channels,
Location is good
poor acoustic partition and we could not fall asleep. No wifi. And someone tried to enter our room at midnight! It's really scared!!!
Scruffy decor lamp not working room not made up, towels dumped outside the door breakfast - cheap ingredients and badly cooked
Location, breakfast, friendly staff and a good deal.
Reported difficulty with flushing toilet (handle faulty) - his was ignored......
location and value for money
Poor decoration Very Dated Beds hard and old & squeaky Carpets worn Tv old style poor tv reception Needs updating Stains on the bottom of the bed Very noisy at night
Booked in for two nights twice 5 days apart. The person I was with would't let me complain. But I cancelled my second pair off dates, after many discussion with Booking.com and 21 days my money was refunded. The room was dull and dingy, paintwork chipped, the double bed was two singles pushed together, the under sheet / mattress cover was grubby, mirrors hadn't been cleaned, the toilet was stained, and the extractor fan was not working, this booking was completed on line and was not representative of the web pictures, I asked if it was possible to look at the next room I booked, and was told that they are not allocated until the day of occupancy. I have booked three more twin days in Chichester, Lowestoft, Norwich. I won't even consider a future stay in a Britannia hotel again. Mr Nutt.
staff is very helpful
the room is not very clean, and it is very noisy
very close to the city centre and train station
there is no wifi
Cleanliness... Room not cleaned when arrived, pubic hair in bathroom around the bath, bath v dirty.. Old used soap still next to sink.. Toilet dirty... Bed looked like somebody had been in it... Not impressed
Only positive was that room was at back and so was quiet
Stained dirty carpets, dated decor, dodgy looking dated electrics, lack of a secure lock on the door to my room, dreadful beds that had seen better days, unwelcoming reception staff who were abrupt, dreadful smell of bleach in the corridors, dirty mop and bucket left in corridor, not being able to access wardrobe as it was blocked by the bed- as was the bedside cabinet, dirty windows, horrible entrance up a dark alleyway
all of it
poor wifi... i could hear every move of the people living next to me，and the toilet keeps making funny noise
The only thing to like about this hotel is its close to the train station.
Out dated would be a understatement! Shabby bathroom and the room its self is in serious need to a lick of paint. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything from the rooms around you. The list can go on.....
Location is perfect for shopping and the train station.
Reception girl had a terrible attitude and seemed very annoyed at the presence of customers. There is discounted car parking at an ncp car park, be careful though there are 6 ncp car parks in the city centre and discount only works in one- this was not explained to us so parking cost us £20 more than it should. The hotel is very old and very dated. Needs a massive refurbishment!
Right in centre of shopping area.
Having to trudge a heavy suitcase from the station as taxis could not park outside hotel due to redevelopment.
Breakfast was ok.
Room and carpet dirty. In need of redecorating. Bathroom really grimy. Shower over bath not functioning as water wouldn't come out of the shower head only the taps. Bath badly discoloured. Really noisy from very early in the morning. Bed hard.
the hotel was close to the train station and shopping and staff were friendly and helpful
the breakfast was not very good, toast was made in advance so was cold and the food was not hot
Good location, and had a Jacuzzi bath.
We didn't have a window so no natural light, reception staff clearly didn't want to be there, various bits of the hallway on our floor were being painted so had to ask building staff to move so we could leave. Apparently we had been upgraded due to standard rooms being over booked so I hate to think what the standard room looked like. Overall I was disappointed with hotel.
