We attended a wedding at Bosworth Hall. We loved the Hotel, it's period features and the lovely grounds. Food was lovely and the general ambience was so relaxing. Although we don't live far away, we are planning a weekend break there, to "get away from it all"! The mattresses were not that comfortable.

The hotel is in a business area with grounds to walk around and just down the road in the village there are some really nice pubs to eat and relax. We went to Tywcross which was less than 15 minutes away and was a really good day out. The staff at the hotel weren't the best, they weren't directly rude but conversation with them was almost impossible and they didn't make you feel welcome at all. I would strongly recommend you don't eat in the hotel restaurant as dinner was over priced and not great quality at all.

Great location, very convenient to centre of village. Nice room, comfortable bed, reasonable buffet breakfast. Congested in the morning peak for breakfast, although didn't have to wait too long for a table, needs a larger dining room or open up the overflow room for a short period. Lots of coach parties, but that makes the place lively.

Good bath and shower. Bed extremely comfortable which is probable the most important thing. Very quite room, slept well. Ordered twin room, bed was made for a double. Can't remember seeing an older tv. 2 tea bags is really very mean. Thought is was now illegal to claim more than card payment cost you.

The whole experience was good, booking in, staff, food. The room was spacious and clean. The general atmosphere was welcoming. Would liked to have seen more of the actual building - what I did see was beautiful. Booked a double room - got a twin - no great hardship. Wi-Fi and phone signal very bad - practically non existent - even in advertised area of reception.

1. The location was lovely 2. The main part of the hotel was fine 3. Good venue for a wedding (purpose of our visit) 4. Room 119 was a very good size, very clean and spacious 5. Hotel generally very clean 1. The confused layout of the bedrooms (no maps/person to show you to your room. Just receptionist saying turn left / upstairs / round the couner / turn right / end of the corridor etc). Very unprofessional. Showing guests to their room would not have been difficult 2. Checking in was very slow. One person on reception with a queue of 10/12 people is madness! 3. Dinner in Jenny's restaurant after 8.30 was very poor. Very little choice. If you weren't one of the older coach people eating at dead on 7.30, you missed the boat 4. I misplaced a personal item and called the hotel immediately the next day, left my details and todate (4 days later) nobody has bothered to call me back. BAD customer service 5. The bar called 'time' even though there were people still drinking in the bar. Admittedly it was late but money was still being taken by the hotel

I liked the spa, enjoyed a massage. Lovely coffee. Liked the big settees in the lounge area and the view of the outside seating area. Enjoyed the meal in the restaurant and the decor. Liked the view out of our bedroom window. Helpful staff who gave us a choice of rooms when we asked. It was very cold in the bar/lounge area. People were sitting in their coats and leaving early. When we asked for the heating to be turned up, nothing was done. The problem was the cold coming from the front door and blasting down to the bar and lounge area. It really wasnt acceptable as the manager should have turned the heating up as there was nothing else that could be done about the cold from the door. It really spoilt our stay as it was too uncomfortable to relax. You must be fully aware of the problem in the wintertime and should compensate by turning the heating up to ensure the comfort of your guests. Also, there was a large stain on the dressing table chair in our room which had not been treated before anyone else stayed in the room and a cushion with a stain on. We were offered other rooms but after we had checked them out, we decided to stay where we were becos the room was large and we had a lovely view of the garden. We pushed the chair under the dressing table and used the bathroom mirror, but those things should have been sorted out before anyone stayed in the room. I have always liked britannia hotels but the cold really spoilt it, but that could have been avoided if the manager had sensibly put the heating up to correspond with the very cold weather, a simple solution to the problem. I wouldnt have written to you about it by myself, just not come again and not recommended it to anyone, but since I found this questionnaire, I sincerely wanted to help you make the necessary changes so guests could really be comfortable.

The bedroom Restaurant was closed to guests unless you were on a coach party - this hotel caters especially for them and independent travellers cannot use the restaurant, the available carvery was cramped, noisey and the wait for a table was unacceptable - bar area was also inadequate for the size of the hotel
