Setting is very pleasant and proximity to village a big plus. Lovely walks possible all round. Spa is a welcome adjunct. Staff generally friendly and obliging. Rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast plentiful and of good quality. Quality of food at dinner in restaurant disappointing. House wine very poor. Room not as requested on arrival ( double instead of twin ) though staff quickly remedied the situation. However, single duvets were inadequate to cover beds and we had to ask for double duvets so as to be properly covered.

Pet friendly, beautiful building and grounds, the food is brilliant, very well set out / organised... buffet breakfast and evening meals eat as much as you want, and good food, i read the reviews before booking, and i cant understand what people complain about. Quiz night on thursday was good fun too. We love the place, and shall be returning in June. Not a complaint, just a suggestion, could they provide doggy bins in the grounds please.

Breakfast-quality of items for a traditional English breakfast. Bar- prices very competitive with my local area of pubs-Maidenhead. Parking- chaotic. Must have spent a good 10 minutes to find a space

Location suited me. Slightly dated Hotel interiors. Wi-Fi not working the night I was there. Carvery dinner extremely popular and busy but resulted in having to wait for a table and food dried out by the time I could eat.

Beautiful gardens and scenery. Stayed the weekend for our daughters weddding reception' excellent service, couldn't fault it. Although a beautiful place, could perhaps do with a little TLC and decoration. Was also disappointed that for the price paid there were no robes or a fridge in the rooms, especially in the bridal suite. Pool was on the cold side and found the spiral staircase to it a bit precarious.

Location Rooms were tired, bathrooms could have done with a good clean. Restaurant and Bar area has the worst system ever for ordering food, I waited more than ten minutes and then gave up! Not worth the money!!!

Hotel staff were Very helpful and friendly and the service was good. Rooms were kept clean and privacy was respected. Food was of good quality and plentiful but the plates were rather small. Cromptons fine dining restuarant was delicious. And overall a good visit. Booked for a double but ended up with a twin beds, the only other thing was the small plates served with breakfast and carvery.

My stay was pleasant and, on the whole value for money. The spa seemed good, unfortunately didn't get chance to use it. The room I stayed in was adequate but the bathroom decor may in need of an update. However, for one nights stay and the price, not a major issue. The hotel was busy and for one with so many rooms, felt the bar are was too small with very few seats available for the amount of guests

Cheap and convenient for our destination at Mallory Park This appeared to be a quality hotel in the description but was rather more like a very nice building turned over to being a cheap and cheerful location for pensioners' coach trips. Whereas I was expecting a quality restaurant, what was provided was a cheap carvery run like a canteen.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was on the ground floor with a pleasant view over the gardens to the rear of the hotel. The room facilities were adequate and of reasonable quality. Excellent shower and adequate toiletries were provided. Towels changed daily even though not requested. Wonderful location in a pleasant, well maintained, former country house within walking distance of a lovely village. It was fairly clear that the staff were disinterested in their work. There was no question of going "the extra mile" - they were not even keen to go the first one. The buffet breakfast system was inadequate for the numbers of guests and towards the end of the breakfast period both plates and food were cold. Non-guests using the dining facility for breakfast were charged £11.50 each which was excessive.

I booked five rooms for two nights for my sons and their families, also booked a birtyhday dinner for 25 in a private room for Saturday 17th December. Everything went very well, the hotel was buzzing and we all had a great time. The hotel had been recommended by my son who has stayed for business reasons in the past. I dealt with Nisha and Finola in your evets dept and they were excellent, very effiecient and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks particularly to them I had a great 70th birthday and my family and friends enjoyed a great party. Many thanks, we will be back !! Tony Colgrave. Orihuela Costa, Spain.
