Location. Beautiful exterior. Lovely grounds.
Small grubby rooms. Tacky furnishings e.g. Black plastic bar seats with diamanté studs!
Dated wall paper, small room, bed on wheels in two halves, small tv, wall paper peeling off walls, top of the tap fallen off, very small bathroom
Very close to the market square and high quality restaurants.
room had no window and the ceiling was cracked (room 235). Bathroom smelt strongly of damp. For the middle of summer the room was red hot, although there was a fan provided, it did little to cool us down.
The area was beautiful, grounds well cared for and staff were helpful. Bathroom in our room looked as if it was newly fitted and very clean.
Bedroom was small and too warm, not enough ventilation. Mealtimes were oversubscribed and confused due to coach parties on a schedule.
Close to town
Older female bar staff member at bar seemed put out when had to serve us. Would be good to be greeted with a good morning at breakfast instead of 'room number' and no eye contact
Staff were extremely helpful Can't help but feel they are trying to do the best with what they've got , Management need to spend some serious money to get the hotel upto a better standard.
Hotel is old and worn down, more money needed to be spent to rejuvenate the hotel. I won't be back until this happens.
when i complained about the room they switched us to an upgraded room no questions asked
First Room was next to the kitchen very noisey
Looks grand from the front, and rooms were clean and tidy.
Internet was not obvious how to connect
Size of the room Polite Receptionists Grounds
Decor, furnishings very tired looking and dated. Beds Holiday camp feel
Price. Bar staff gave very good customer service.
Outdated furnishings Uncomfortably hot in summer. No air con.
Grounds and location are great. Great breakfast.
Carvery meal was just ok. The vegetables were inedible.
Grounds and hotel interior that was the reason I booked as I like the older style hotels with a history to it. Room was warm and cosy. We both had two good nights sleep as beds very comfy. Staff really friendly and helpful. My daughter and I can't wait to go back. She loved the pool and there is so much to do there. Breakfast was excellent.
Some of the guests leaving rubbish or breakfast dishes dotted around the hotel.
Price and the location and grounds were lovely
Fire alarm in room went off for no apparent reason and woke us up got no explanation or opology for inconvenience .spilt food was left on floor when chef was replenishing servers and a safety hazard as well as cleanliness factor.
Booked this verysst minute for a day break, it was bliss :-)
Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and relaxing break. Beautiful grounds and within walking distance of a lovely village. Would definitely go back again.
Nothing really to dislike about hotel just needs a bit of TLC in some places but would not put me off going again or recommending to friends and family.
Spa facilities ideal and not to crowded. Receptionist very polite and helpful. Would definately visit again
A little noisy during the night
Room was too hot.
Price. Location / setting. Short walk to lovely Market Bosworth.
Poor quality sausages
Very good location for my needs
I've stayed at Bosworth three or four times over two decades, and witnessed a further decline on each occasion. This is now positioned as a "bus tour" hotel, with "entertainment" and service arrangements set up to suit . Why, for example, when I have an open charge set up on my room account was I told I could not have breakfast until I had gone to reception to buy a ticket to present to the dining room staff? I was also told on arrival at their "higher end" dining room to "sign to say that I had arrived" -- clearly this was to sign a blank check for a room charge, despite being told the contrary "It's just Brittania Hotels rules" ... and lo and behold, at the end of the meal - no need to do anything, we'll charge it to your room - already signed. The wifi didn't work in my room; and the room info was well out of date regarding hours of spa operation (steam room not working) , existence of a laundry service etc. The shower had no effective temperature control and varied from cool to scalding. A real shame. Most of this would only take a bit of organisation to improve, if only they had a will to do so.
Value for money Staff Location The feeling as you drive up The public areas are quite nice
The room was boiling hot and only had a tiny opening window Room smelt a bit funny Fixtures and fittings in room very dated Chair in room had very odd stain on it
Not very much
Staff were Unfriendly Room Lack a TV Flat screen Television. Double bed had Hard Mattress. Breakfast was Poor in Selection and Quality even Tea or Coffee was Not brought to your Table Like most other Hotels. Car Parking was all over the Place which meant quite a walk to your car>
The close proximity to Market Bosworth. The grounds were impressive and the staff were friendly.
The breakast tables needed to be cleared more quickly. They need someone to be doing this all the time during service. In room 62 we could only open 2 small windows and as it exceptionally hot when we stayed the room could do with a ceiling fan. Also a double socket is required near the kettle as you couldn't have the kettle and the bedside lamp on at the same time.
The location and building is good
The staff are pointless. The food is awful The rooms are dirty and out of date The communal areas are chaotic and dirty. There is food all over the floor in the breakfast room. Never consider having meal. Possibly worst place I have ever stayed
Gym even though it's only open till 7 pm?
I will never use this Hotel again, whilst I was there the has a graduation party and was keep awake till 530am, I complained to reception and they tried to find the duty manager on via phone and radio. They Could NOT Did Her I Have not had a caLL from her and I was still charged. Very very poor Manager
