The Roundhouse    

Efficient receptionist, all areas were clean and tidy including the 2 lifts. Our room was on the fifth floor, spacious and with lovely comfy beds. We enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee and then we had dinner in the hotel as we had travelled so far and just needed to rest. We can recommend the hot (buffet style) food.

There were many groups staying and one of a stag party had a room next to ours. Not what we had expected at all.The noise was dreadful. At breakfast we were surrounded by groups all trying to be heard above the rest. One group actually stood behind us talking while we were eating. We couldn't hear each other. I was disappointed because it was our 10th wedding anniversary and I had booked it. I would say that, if you (like us,) want a quiet romantic getaway - this wasn't it on the days we were.there.

Always enjoy staying here and staff always very welcoming. Nice room, plenty of space on a quiet floor. Good value. Thanks again

Only gripe for me is the TV system could do with modernising

The bed was old and uncomfortable the bath needed a good clean I didn't mind the scruffy decor I just needed a good night sleep The walls were so thin I thought the person's in the next room was sharing our room

Our second time at the roundhouse, all i can say is excellent

Liked the room 432, the room was nicely organised, and it had all the information needed.

The floor in the room was dirty in many places, surfaces had dust on it. The extractor fan in the bathroom was not working. This keeps foul smell in it once used for toilet. I was expecting to see a mini fridge. It will be grand to have a small fridge in the room.

Stayed here a few times and enjoyed this stay as well. Good value, friendly and good location for town. Place is being renovated gradually so pot luck with renovated room or not. Ours was waiting to be redecorated but comfortable and warm

The bar and restaurant were excellent and so were the bar and restaurant staff. The bar food and restaurant food was good value

Your day time reception staff. and the bathroom to our room 506, it was dirty and mouldy, and the tiles fell off the wall while I was showering shattered in the bath and hurt my foot.

Nothing i liked about this Hotel.

The staff were awful, no people skills, refused to move me to another room. The rooms were disgusting, wet carpet, stained furniture, holes in bedding, mould in Bathroom, no batteries in remote, no tv ariel for tv. Worst experience of a hotel. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

The room was basic and relatively clean.

Bedroom door stuck, couldn't get in. Room stunk of cigarettes, furniture was old and very tired. No sky tv just the basic channels. Bathroom was very tatty and old. People next door kept me awake till 1am. The car park exit ticket didn't work, I had to run in twice to get another ticket 3 tickets in total just to get out of car park once. Very very poor!

The room was quite run down and definitely needs refurbishing; the bed was very uncomfortable; no drinks in the vending machine; ordered food from the room service and it wasn't good at all, first of all we got the wrong order, no salt and pepper or sauce, the milk we got tasted off; I would not stay here or at any other Britannia Hotel again!

Room was very dusty, and smelly when i just come in., look like it very old and need refurbishment. Also at night it is very noisy, the car, people drunk and talking... it wasn't very nice to stay.

1,The paint was still wet and room looked like it had not been cleaned or checked after the painters had finished in there. 2,would be nice to get food or snacks after 11pm . 3, iron in the room would be good

Its position in the centre of town.Ease of parking.

The check in was chaotic the girl on the desk couldnt cope .The hotel looked like it was built in the sixties and nothing had been done to it since-decor carpets etc.couldnt get on internet except in foyer.Had to pay for parking and get a new card every day [one which didnt work].

The receptionist was really welcoming and helpful when I arrived into the main lobby to check in. Although it states that the check out time is 11am, we never felt rushed or hurried like we were being kicked out as we didn't check out until around 11:20am so that's something I appreciate. For £40 a night you really can't go wrong as the twin room is quite spacious compared to other hotels. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Only bad point if I was being picky is that it isn't situated in the heart of Bournemouth town centre so you'll have to take a cab which is less than 3 minutes away.

Room was disgusting! Plastic glove over our fire alarm in room, bed linen dirty, lampshade ripped apart, stained floor, dirty bathroom! I made a complaint, but been told to go to h q noisy radiator kept us up all night!! Worst stay I have ever had anywhere room 510!

The room was clean, the view was nice, it was a good size and the bed was comfy and firm!

The staff didn't seem very concerned that despite having been told we could check in at two, being asked to wait an hour and when we eventually got our key and got to our room, there was someone in there cleaning it! So we had to go off for another hour while we waited for the room to be finished! It was fine once we got in but the staff were not bothered that we'd just wasted 2 hours of our weekend in Bournemouth waiting for them! No apology or anything!

This hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. Rooms were not very clean. No investment made in upkeep of rooms. When you think nowadays you can stay in a premier inn or newer branded hotel with modern facilities for the same room rates...makes you think how bad this hotel really is. Very old tv's with only 6 tv channels...internet wifi constantly cutting out. Mangement sipping coffee/tea in wave restaurant...not really interested in really making this hotel a success. I would not recommend this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels and worked in hotels too...this is by far one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in. Please invest in this hotel and place modern amenities for the modern day traveller and also ensure the standard of cleaning is monitored and is of a high standard. My room was not very well cleaned.
