The convenience to the main town. First room given to us had chewing gum on quilt cover and stains on bed sheet. Second offered after complaint towels full of stains. Bed broken middle leg missing, the bedside wall was black with damp and wallpaper hanging off. Third room we stayed in dispite stained towels, broken toilet seat, dirty glasses, the smell of dry urine and window not shutting, also wallpaper hanging off walls. The fourth room we refused because it looked like someone had just got out of the bed. We spent the night sleeping on top of quilt as the flat sheet looked used. The smell from the bedding was a sour smell. The noise from the other guest due to having a room in the inner circle went on all night, you could hear everything. This hotel should be pulled down; it's one thing for it to be old and tired, but there is no excuse for being dirty.

Room was clean and comfortable, free car parking on sight, good breakfast, about ten minutes walk to the beach and shops, plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms in need of a bit of modernisation and decorating. Disappointed with the restaurant with regard to evening meals, only a buffet or bar meals, also the evening entertainment in the bar/restaurant area which one evening was 'bingo' and another a musician with loud sound equipment was not what I would have expected in a hotel of this kind.

Good central location with free car parking although car park closed at approx. 11Pm Room was cleaned Most days although the bed did not look made. If you were close to finishing time for breakfast, you just got the scraps.

The only thing good about this hotel was it's location. I'm not a fussy person, however I travel alot and I have to say it was a horrible experience. There was 8 of us with four different rooms, all the rooms were the same if not worse. The decor was completely outdated with tiles falling off the bathroom, you could feel the spring in the mattress digging into your skin, the quilt had old blood stains, One of the rooms had water leakages, all rooms smelt damp and had a old musky smell, the double rooms are small, not spacious, and I still felt squashed in a double bed. Ive never said this before about a hotel, but I really wouldn't ever recommend this hotel to anyone especially not for £75 a room it's worth a £35/40

Honestly!, Nothing . I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone . Room was old and Dirty, door handle to the bathroom fell off, the tap would not work properly and the shower was nothing more than a dribble. Breakfast!. we ended up going somewhere else and had to buy breakfast. and all this for £125.00 Very bad !.

Friendly staff and hotel is centrally located, cheap price. The internal decor of rooms and bedding is very worn and in need of updating. Dust noticeable on window sills, wallpaper is dirt smudged. The hallways dont seem to be monitored or cleaned regularly. On the night I arrived I noted 2 empty beer glasses on a table in hallway, they were not removed throughout my 2 night stay and were still there when I checked out.

As a smoker it was very refreshing to note that hey have smoking rooms not for everyone but it saves you getting cold outside. The location was fine close enough to all facilities if you like a walk to the shops and beach if not there is cab rank outside. Also they have a covered car park very handy in winter. Rhys lamb

I thought the staff were friendly. Everything was available when you needed it. It was very clean. The breakfast was lovely and the dining room was relaxing and peaceful, the restaurant was also great value for money and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again In the room I stayed in with my girlfriend two beds were pushed together and kept on pushing apart when me and my girlfriend shared the bed at night. This was annoying but not too much of an issue. Its the only thing I could think of that is a little bit bad but like I said its not too much of an issue.

At £19.99 for a double room (room only) it was extremely good value for money especially as car parking is free. The hotel is dated and in need of refurbishment but my room was clean and had the usual facilities expected in a 3* hotel. The bathroom in particular was tatty but again was clean and for the price I paid I really have no complaints. Staff were attentive and helpful at the desk and bar and the hotel is well located for the beach, bars and pier. All in all, to be honest, far better than I expected I was going to get for £19.99!

I have stayed at the Round House many times when I was Assistant md to a local airline. We took dozens of rooms and were very pleased with the facilities. I particually stayed to see how the hotel was fairing and found the staff to be helpful and the room warm and clean. The hotel had an air of being in need of a facelift. The menue availability was poor in the evening there being no buffet laid on.

Good size rooms, basic facilities but all comfortable and clean. Great buffet breakfast, free parking, good central location. The bathroom was very dated and looked dirty as a result. Also the heating was ridiculously hot!
