Not a lot - the price was relatively cheap (£29 for a non-refundable double room or £39 for refundable), but I am sure better accommodation could have been provided by a good quality small hotel/guest house at the same price or lower.

Summary of message sent to Britannia Hotels on 15 Dec: the standard of the accommodation was disappointing. The room had been only superficially cleaned - the edges of the carpet were dirty, debris from the previous occupant, paintwork throughout the room was chipped, gouged & marked and wall paper was peeling. The bathroom was unpleasant - yellow staining on bath and sink, soap scum on underside of soap dish, mould in various areas, thick dust in the mirror surround and towel radiator, missing support on toilet roll holder and rust streaks on tiles below the shower. The only area of the rooms that was in reasonable condition was the recently re-painted ceiling.

Came down for a weekend getaway only used hotel for somewhere to sleep

We stayed for 2 nights at the roundhouse. The town is a 10 min walk away and it was a good area to stay for Bournemouths nightlife. Staff were very friendly and helpfull when we arrived. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a kingsize bed. Maid service was daily, food was very good as says buffet when you book the hotel but we were surprised to have a full english breakfast which you helped yourself too. Car park was free to park in. Hotal was good value for money for the 2 nights that we stayed there.

The price was amazing, facilities was great for the price paid, staff were friendly, quirky design, late checking out time was extremely convienent.

While the room was clean the bath was not, which let the hotel down. The room decor was looking a little tired

we did not like the very old wornout bathroom, full of limescale ,The shower hose needed replaceing badly and the taps constently dripped. Also, although the carpark was free and the hotel only had a few guests staying there,it was full of cars belonging to Bournmouth college,there were no saved spaces for guests at all ,and we were blocked in one day ,. we could not find the owner of the car, there was nothing the hotel could do and 1 hour later we carfully managed to reverse all the way out of the spiral car park.

An easy to find hotel in a great location, near the town, seafront and BIC, where we were going that evening. Getting from the underground carpark to the reception was a lot of fun with a maze of corridors and steps to entertain you before being welcomed by the hotel staff who were very helpful. The room was nice and warm, with a very comfy bed and pretty good view! The bar has a happy 7 hours (12pm - 7pm) where a lot of stuff is half price and the food was excellent and very cheap! Breakfast was brilliant with an all you can eat hot buffet! Overall, 11/10.

very friendly staff and other guestsparking was brilliant as some of the other hotels we have stayed at you have to park on the road.

The location was fab & being treated to a large room with ensuite bathroom & a huge variety breakfast for £29 was a great deal!

The only downer was the bathroom - a little dated & slightly unclean-looking due to staining which detracted from the otherwise great room a tad.

The breakfast was excellent & reception staff were helpful

The rooms needed updating but did not except much with the price we paid, but were clean.
