Bed not very comfy Shower didn't work
Please tv cable full. Chanels room internet service
Good central location. Reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms are a bit tired and bathrooms could do with updating. Also, TV could do with upgrading and provide more channels. While there recently the bar shut at 11pm and there was very little choice from the night bar which was not very customer friendly. We were not the only ones who were a bit put out about this, especially at this time of year.
No car park, the place itself is very worn, location poorly lit
Comfy bed very warm hotel maybe a little too warm but no complaints very cheap would stay again
not much sleep due to drafts and whistling
Size of the room Comfort of the bed Smoking Room Excellent Lovely and warm Very clean and comfortable room
The location, helpfulness of the staff, spacious room, toilettries provided, clean and silent room.
The room was chilly from time to time as the central heating does not work uninterrupted. The furniture and general look of the hotel seem a bit worn out. No slippers.
Location, One member of staff helped us by booking a taxi, the same gentleman had excellent knowledge of the local transport, and was a great help. The chambermaid was excellent doing a great job in such shabby surroundings.
The hotel totally ignored the fact my wife was registered blind, we ended up on the sixth floor, we were not offered a room with disability facilities. The fact that my wife was blind had been written by me when I made the booking via Booking.com. pity if was not taken into consideration when the rooms were allocated. We had to wait for quite a long time at the reception desk for anyone to come out of the back room, Our hotel room was quite large but very shabby, there was some black mould in the bathroom, the net curtains were torn, and the main curtains were a dreary colour. The room overlooked a flyover and the drone of traffic was tedious. We only ate in the restaurant once! My wife and I did go to the bar, only to be served a whisky in a dirty glass, when my wife asked for another glass, the bar person tipped the whisky from the dirty glass into a clean glass, my wife refused the drink and asked for another one, this was met with annoyance... I was asked if we were with the coach party, it seems people who were with these groups had a cheaper rate for alcohol than hotel guests. We only had the one drink in the bar.
location, comfort, quiet, friendly welcome at reception.
Got to the room I had been allocated to find out that it had not been cleaned. I expect they should be in a position to know the status of their rooms before handing over keys to guest.
Guy on reception was very professional under a lot of pressure . On his own when he badly needed someone else ..
The room was poor with broken toilet handle ; when reported I was told .."Yes , we have quite a few with the same problem !" The bed smealt of smoke so felt quite ill as I tried to sleep . Was not asked for a non smoker , just presumed no one smoked in the rooms .Spent an hour travelling around Coventry trying to get through the nightmare traffic system . I inquired before leaving and was told to just head for the city centre .. no names on streets ???? Horrendous for non locals
good location for the city centre and visiting the university for one night only.
desperately needs a refurbishment.
Free internet Shower
You feel cold during the day the heater will be on until the evening The room furnitures r too old
Good location for cathedral for my daughters graduation
The room we were in was tired ,
Cost was value for money
Old bed and decor very out dated but cost was good to compensate
Cheap overnight parking over the road (50p 1800-0800) Easy walk to real town centre
Gloomy overhang entrance road opposite bus station
There was a large window in the room
Waited in the lobby for over half hour as there was only 1 guy on and a girls stood in the lobby welcoming in christmas party's- they took priority over my booking it seemed and got checked in very quick. In the bathroom the show curtain was brown at the bottom with mould and mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. I took photos of it all. This was not value for money at all.
I liked the location as the hotel is just a minutes walk from my son's accommodation Priory Hall and close to Pool Medows bus station.
The basin was leaking so was the bathtub which could be stopped.
Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The decor and cleanliness left much to be desired.
Close to cathedral and City centre
Bathroom very tired Old style tv Standard double bed No parking onsite
Staff were very friendly Fantastic location Great value for money for a short stay
the fact that I could smoke in my room, plenty of tea and milk supplied.front desk staff were very nice and helpful.
the location of my room, the mess of the bathroom facilities, dim light in room, hole in spare blanket,no hairdryer, wallpaper filthy,
The location of the hotel was perfect for the event I was attending. The staff were excellent from start to finish. The bathroom was also spotless and the shower was excellent.
The hotel bar is open to the publi and the cheap prices can attract a certain type of clientele. Bar staff were very good however and the quality of the beer good. Wifi is free but dry patchy and slow and not available in bedrooms. The heating system is noisy and woke me up at 6:30am.
Only the location was perfect for me as I came with my wife to attend to the graduation ceremony of my son at coventry university. This is our second stay in your hotel, but I would think twice before coming again to this hotel,. Thank you! Nelson philips
Room seems as if it were under repairs,... Wash room was not neat and tidy at all. Wooden pieces missing from toilet door frames and it looks really bad for you to understand you paid for this room,. Further the lady at the restaurant was not polite at all. She does not know what hospitality is,. She seemed very busy but, you are busy is not a valid excuse for restaurant staff,.in fact hospitality industry do not believe in giving excuses as I understand. Overall staff politeness has to be addressed immediately if you you want to have better customer satisfaction,. I did not want to review my stay as I wanted to stay silent about it,. Then your reminder came in,. Please take this as a constructive criticism to improve your business ,. thanks , nelson philips
Location. Ground floor (reception, bar, restaurant) all very smart. Two 'easy chairs' in room (very rare!) Instant hot water.
Room straight from the 60s. Hair dryer from the Ark (scary noise). Trouser Press, are they still used? TV also from Ark ! Basin in bathroom, plastic, but several deep cracks could harbour germs. Breakfast poor, caused by 'over cooking'. Staff couldn't keep up with replenishing cups, cereals, sugar etc.
