Cheap! Theme of hotel was different, garden / patio area was relaxing FREE PARKING (if you are not leaving the car to fly out of Gatwick) Smoking rooms - if that is your vice. Ability to use power sockets in public areas (only place wifi was accessible) Lots of very HOT water ( but you do have to run tap for a few minutes before it comes through) Cost of food was fair (not cheap) but decent hot and tasty No wifi in rooms Phone signal poor through-out. Heating turned off (when it really was quite cold) I like it cold so this really was an issue as it was too cold even for me. Damaged / Rusting fittings Dated decoration. Stained Carpet A bit loud in public areas - as this is the only place to use Wifi - so I was not able to work for long periods. Public area TV and Music were playing over each other. Please -one or the other at least in the TV area. Music was on a constant loop day after day - change the music please! If wifi (even at a cost) was available in rooms and heating was on during a cold snap I could live with other issues as the price is low. I'd say spend some money decorating and fixing fittings but i fear the cost would rocket and I am on a budget. So I guess this is why so cheap.

Food was good and Bar Staff were friendly The shower had poor water pressure and there was a gap in the window frame allowing the wind to blow through the room. Television picture kept breaking up. Car parking was a nightmare with very little or no parking spaces and people abandoning cars without consideration for other users.

Price and convenient location. Bedroom was clean and tidy. Breakfast was fine. Searching for a parking space over the potholes since it is used as an overflow for people travelling from Gatwick. People on the adjacent table boasting about the breakfast price which was less than I paid - even paying in advance.

The setting is remarkably good, much better than I expected. Staff were helpful, pleasant and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and pool staff excellent. Very close (10 mins ) from Gatwick and adjacent to M23 but no noise. Amazingly good value. Parking facilities poor. All the corridors are the same which can be disorientating, some distinction would help. The breakfast was ok but not brilliant. Bathroom fittings are ageing and the basin taps are awful.... 4 yr old washed hands and could not turn off the ungrippable tap, she panicked and a flood was narrowly averted. Taps cannot be turned with wet, soapy or arthritic hands.

The hotel upgraded our room because of the key mishaps. The bed was very comfortable. The water feature sound outside was relaxing, although some may find it annoying. The fact our key didn't work twice and we ended up having to switch rooms before we'd even entered it. The hallways were ridiculously hot! The hallways stank of Chlorine. The TVs in the room were very old, and the channel selection poor. Windows do not open fully, making it stuffy and hot to sleep in. There was NOWHERE to park at all, despite me having requested a parking space when booking.

Comfy clean room, surprisingly quiet. Nice courtyard, nice friendly staff and good full english breakfast! I also really enjoyed the friendly and chilled pool, sauna and steam even if it does need a little TLC. I think its expensive at full rate especially without breakfast or the health club included but my rate seemed fair enough. Also.... they REALLY need to ditch the tattered sofas! Letting it down and look dreadful.

It was conveniently situated, and cheap. The first room I was allocated stank of stale cigarette smoke, there were stains on the carpet, and no mattress cover on the bed. It was dusty and generally didn't feel clean. I was moved to another room which was better, but still no mattress cover. The whole place looked tired and dated, and in need of some TLC!
