I like the fact that I could check straight into my room as the payment was made on the internet and there were no additional fees. I like the overall look of the hotel but was sadly let down on a number of points. 1/ being woken by room service at 0745 every morning despite dnd signage.2/ room service knocking on our door on day of check out at 1030 when our check out time was 1100 to be spoken to rudely by being asked 'are we leaving today'. 3/ found an old toe nail on the bathroom floor. 4/ room was dusty and unclean. 5/ staff on reception were never to be seen and always seemed to be having mothers meetings in the side room. 5/ paraking is a nightmare!

Bitterly dissapointed, we used this as a base for my wife to use while I was in hospital in Haywards Heath, it is now a downgraded hotel for the airport.I Was a memeber of the original health club back in the late eighties and clearly the hotel has taken a huge downward spiral. The car parking and layout is a disgrace as are most of the grounds, scruffy worn & tired is being kind to the decor especially the corridors to the rooms. My wife was booked in for four nights, we left on the morning of the 2nd June to go to the hospital, my wife did not return for the remainder of her stay, and did not even bother checking out, I am sending an official complaint to the ceo of this hotel group to make him aware of our personal experiences.

I didn't enjoy my stay the lodge was very noisy with people banging doors and waking us up everyday at 5am. I was not staying at the hotel to go to airport and was there visiting family members. The cleaners start knocking on doors and hovering at 7am which is early when you have already been woken by noisy customers!!! The receptionist staff were aloof and not very patient. There were not enough staff and lengthy waits to check in or ask questions. I wouldn't stay again even though it is best location to visit my family. I have stayed in many hotels from budget to five star this is one that will be struck off my list.

What did I like? The rooms were kept very clean, serviced every day. Apart from the cleanliness of the room the rest was awful - extremely noisy due to situation between motorway and busy road, rooms cramped, small bath, the "car park" was a disgrace, you need wellingtons to be able to park and get from your car over most of the area. The picture of room online did not match what we stayed in, but then you probably wouldn't be able to stand back far enough to get a suitable picture in our one.. However it was cheap - and you get what you pay for. Certainly will avoid this group in the future.

Eccellent position and transit transport for overnight stop when arriving late or departing on early flights from Gatwick. Value for price with helpful, kind, efficient night staff. The room was comfortable enough with clean white linen/towels and sample toiletries provided. Tea/coffee facilities well stocked and clean. Comfortable bed. Wake up call on time and possibility to book bus for the morning very releaving! avoiding night ansiety. Only disagreeable point was the old not working hydromassage bath, also the taps were brassy where the chrome had been cleaned off, this should just be replaced with a normal new simple one as other bathroom furniture, like the hand basin, had already been substituted with new taps. I had telephoned from ITALY to ask about the transfer transit bus and was told it was FREE not £5.00 to pay from Hotel back to gatwick airport.

The staff were friendly and really helpful. The rooms were shabby, I stayed in two different rooms and they could both do with a good refresh. Only 4 terrestrial channels on the tv too; very poor. Parking was awful.

Reasonably priced room and food. Food of good quality (not gourmet but good value and flavor). Free Wifi was nice touch. Location for travel into and out of Gatwick good, and a day ticket on Rail to London (which also covers London transport - tube, bus) was good valure and convenient at 13 pounds per adult. Taxi to rail station about 5 to 6 pounds. Will stay again for our outward bound flight in about 9 weeks from now. Have 29 pound voucher presently for outward bound stay if booked for within 3 weeks of departure. Would have been nice if by showing a valid outward bound air ticket that the offer would have been extended to those of us who travel for a longer period than 3 weeks. No major problems except maybe bad advice about exactly where our room was located when we checked in. We were pointed to the wrong corridor and spent some time wandering around, but eventually got another staff member who knew the layout.

Great value for money. We got a very cheap deal through booking.com. £114 for 3 nights room only, we would have paid that for one night in Brighton so it was worth the 20 mile drive. The setting of the hotel was nice, grounds felt a bit mediterranean. We didn't use the leisure facilities, but had a nosy and they looked nice. Towels were clean and the bed was clean and comfy and room had tea and coffee making facilities, so we had all we required as we only slept there. Despite requesting a top floor, we were given a ground floor and were woken every morning at 7am by the herd of elephants on the floor above....very creaky floorboards!! The reception area was quite nice although the room we had was a bit worn and dated and not spotlessly clean, but you get what you pay for. The only problem with location was that this was one of those stupid junctions which only has access from one direction, I.E. London. So we had to travel across country to reach the a23 to Brighton. Still worth it for the value for money though.

I love the atmosphere and the dinner. Good, in fact it is very good. Inability to connect to the wireless internet service from my room, cause I;d to go to the hotel main lobby before I could get connected. Please do something about this, it is very, very important. Thanks

Room size good Parking abysmal as the car park was totally full of holiday makers cars who had jetted off from Gatwick and left their cars parked for weeks. I only just found parking because I have a sports car and parked between a 4x4 and a lamp post under a tree. Also the bathroom had not been cleaned very well and the obligatory long black hairs were in the bathroom.

I did not really like any aspect of the hotel other than it was close to the airport. This hotel was quite dreadful. We arrived at about 20,10 and were unable to get a meal (sandwiches and jacket potatoes on offer) I have a wheat allergy so sandwiches out & jacket potatoes too heavy for that time of night. We could feel every spring in the mattress so did not get a good nights sleep. Car had to be parked in a hedge. Basic view of of a scruffy place with no proper facilities.

Leaving Car parking poor, staff disinterested, room dirty, smelly, carpets threadbare, furniture old & dusty, bed needs replacing very old and lumpy, carvery poor, breakfast at £11.50 a rip off. All in all a very poor and unpleasant experience-had to wash all clothes on return home to get rid of the smell of a musty/damp/disgraceful hotel.

The hotel was ok. The rooms were warm and they are quite spacious. There isn't anything really bad about the hotel. It's just that it is really outdated. I think this is where the comments about the rooms not being clean are coming from. I do however agree with one person who said that it is more of a 2 star instead of the 3 star it's rated at. Tried to find the pool but think it was closed as couldn't get in. If ure on a budget, only staying for a night and don't mind the decor being very old then it's fine.

The entrance and bar does looks very nice but didn't spend any time here. Parking was very poor and not enough parking places. Arrived at night and found that the car park was quite dark, pot holes and muddy. Not very good when on your own and walking in heels. The room I stayed in had damp patches on the walls, a noisy wall heater. There was dust, dirt and hair on the floor next to the bed and bedside cabinet. It looked like the furniture had never been moved to clean.

Close to the airport, very easy to get there with the rental car in the morning for my flight. Difficult to find - gps lead me around for almost an hour - had to call to be given directions. Mold and rust in the shower/bathroom. Swimming pool is not actually included in the hotel, but is a separate pay facility.

the price wasn't too bad We really struggled to find a parking space. The girl on reception did not greet us pleasantly and verged on rude. The room had 4 areas on the wall which looked like mould had been scraped off, but behind the curtains to the right of the wall it was heavily stained with mould. It was off putting and for this reason alone ,we would not book again.
