Staff were lovely
Shower was very weak and cleanliness of bathroom was poor (needs work)
The location and price
The extremely cold public areas - Bar -
Check out time is 1100am and when I went back to the room at 1030 the cleaners had removed all my toiletries. Luckily they had put them in a plastic bag. The bed valance was disgustingly dirty
Location and ease of parking and booking in
Nice large room . Friendly staff. Jacuzzi in bath . Quietness
Curtains were tatty and creased. Ceiling had weird wooden things coming down . Couldnt get room service . Tried reception and bar
Attractive building with excellent grounds
The heating was off, on the coldest day of the year, until 6pm. Went off about 11pm until 6am then off at 9. The coldest hotel we have ever stayed at.
Although cheap was very noisy and grubby
The coaching halt restaurant down the road. Go right out of hotel and its just there.
The window at the end of the bed might aswell not have glass. There is a 2 inch gap the whole way around which in January with no heating makes it bloody cold!! Slept with jumper and coat on! No wifi in rooms. Its 2015!! Noise within hotel is a joke.
Accessible location and good value for money for short stays. Fair services and late night bar. Reasonable facilities in rooms.
Fairly good location for airport. Reception staff very good and efficient. Was able to watch snooker Masters semi final on television even though lounge was very cold.
Room in the Lodge was tiny and cramped, bed was small for a mature couple, heating did not go on till 6pm so room was cold. Went to the bar but that was also cold, sofa collapsed as we sat on it and was uncomfortable so we found another one, Evening meal was poor quality and cold, only one choice of meat for carvery, i.e. Gammon, other choice was chicken curry which was insipid and not a curry, starter of tomato soup OK but not a lot else was tempting. Standard desert of two Gateaux were boring. Restaurant staff were nice people but seemed to lack training, gave no instructions so relied on our previous knowledge to sort ourselves out. Concern expressed with carvery food temperature regarding health and safety targets, poor supervision. This comment was heard from other diners. We chose this Hotel as we stayed here before in March/April this year and were impressed with food/room and service, it is quite alarming how the standards can fall so quickly. Will probably not stay here again.
Nothing. The most filthiest place I have ever stayed in and would use it as a kennel! Needs demolishing and rebuilding! Health and environmental needs to view and condemn the place!
Rooms not hoovered and beds were roughly made
Staff were ok and very polite
Room was in need of new windows, very drafty And loads of noise, Only a thin duvet on the bed so had to keep the heating on
Just pay a bit more and go somewhere else this hotel really isn't worth saving a few pounds. The food is distgusting and expensive for the rubbish it is. You even have to pay £10 deposit to use an iron and the 'ironing room' is full of rubbish, dirty washing and a mattress. I ironed my shirt in the Lobby!! Seriously bad hotel don't stay there ever it's really not worth saving the money
Just don't stay there seriously don't
Only a 10 minute drive to Gatwick
Hotel was freezing cold as heating only comes on at certain times & cannot be put on before despite being January & freezing cold, we were all sat in the bar area in our coats. Bedrooms are tatty
location and cost.
initially was given a family room, 2 single beds and bunk beds for myself. Requested a change of room to be given one that smelt damp and appeared not to have been thoroughly cleaned for a few days. Dust behind drawers etc.
Rude staff, tv didnt work, just a terrible experience
Our room was damp and smelly.
The staff looked after us and enjoyed are stay
Payment made didn't show up on computer as paid and wanted payment again not fault of hotel but booking.com all sorted in the end. Signal on mobile very poor.
The only good thing about it was the free wifi and that it was a 5/10 min taxi drive to Three Bridges station so easy to get into London.
The cleanliness was appalling! Shaven hair in the bathroom, especially covering the bath, wardrobe doors falling off, stains on the walls and floor. Also, £11 for breakfast which was cold, even the parts that were supposed to be hot! Would recommend it if you want somewhere cheap and not going to eat there or want to use many of the facilities.
All of the radiators turned off. Nothing in dining area at night or during morning. It's mucking winters turn the bloody rads on. !!
Poor wifi Poor TVs reception in lodge
