The location for what we wanted.
There was dried blood spots on the bed sheets, we could not turn the heating down it was very warm in the room, somebody came up to try to open a window and could not, so they gave us a fan, which was noisy and we could not have it on all night.
our request for a room overlooking the river was immediately accepted.
we think that prices could be a little lower at this time of the year
Location, close to Canary Warf Friendly Staff Large Room on top floor
Very old furniture and bathroom, clean, but old
Location Breakfast was good Room was clean and a good size Friendly staff
Queue for breakfast was long - but was tasty
Location, value for money, spacious room with smoking option on a high floor with decent view.
Queuing for breakfast on Sunday morning. Also the continental breakfast was a little limited and if you didn't fancy a big fry up you were a bit stuck.
the quietness and location
out of date decor and smell of smoke from the smoking rooms. I asked for a smoking room thinking it was a balcony. Changed room to non smoking as my daughter was with me. You could still smell the smoke in the corridor. No water on arrival. Tea making facilities but had to go and buy water.
The location was very good and the standard of cleaning
I travelled as a business guest to the hotel wanting extra comfort and therefore I spent a little extra money than a simple hotel. The breakfast was surprisingly bad (if you don't like English breakfast) and the staff were not especially polite. The corridors smelt of smoke and the room was cold.
Spacious room Big bathroom Good location
Plug sockets in random places in the room, would be better if there was one near the bed or under the desk The light near the door doesn't switch off for some reason, so this was a bit of a distraction when trying to sleep Would have liked a bigger sink area for somewhere to place my toiletries, etc
- Location - very convenient to tube and DLR
- tired hotel in need of renovation, modernisation and decoration - bedrooms were noisy from hotel equipment, fans etc - beds very hard - need new mattresses - very slow internet - grumpy staff at check in and breakfast
It was advertised that no need to reserve parking it is available, but it was not true, it was very small parking and no spaces, we needed to park elsewhere, because i came from Birmingham and parking was essential for me.
Location and views
Looked a bit tired and in need of some additional investment
Location Pizzeria Room size
Staff were welcoming but could be a bit more smiley
I like so much, the confort of the hotel and the staffs.
I was disappointed about your parking,I took 45 minutes just to find where to park my car. Please, could you reserve car park for the customers who spend all night in your hotels. Thanks.
Price deal was good. Location good. Breakfast very good.
Lengthy queue on Sunday for breakfast. Downstairs Indian restaurant and snack bar service was very slow although the food was good and well priced.
Everything else was lovely
The guy that stands on the solo concierge was rude and very inattentive
Location. Access to dlr. Price paid. Cleanliness.
Staff were to busy doign other menial tasks to check in the growing queue. The brash manner in which the Eastern European staff deal tell you they will only be one moment.Bed was awful. Windows were awful, allowed a lot of noise in. Rooms need updating.Pillows were awful. Ac was very noisy.
tremendous views excellent transport for touring brilliant stay
I will be bck beautiful hotel
Good value for money. Comfortable stay
Funny smell in the corridors. Swimming pool not as big as it's made to look in the picture.
The location is uniquely fit for my business travel purpose to Canary Wharf
Quality is decreasing from visit to visit; staff (including the respective manager) is becoming increasingly unfriendly and inflexible Breakfast is shown on booking.com as included however not so and would not provide proper coffee
The Indian retaurant
The bed was uncomfortable, the Hotels and rooms in particular were scruffy
I had an executive room. Nice size with king size bed. Full wall to wall window with a great view. Huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath. If they hotel refurbished it could easily be four star
Although the bathroom was very big it was dated and the cleaning could do with closer attention. I think they should have loo brushes too.
The room was very old fashioned with very poor lighting. We were told we were being upgraded to an executive suite. When we entered the room no lights. A spiral stair case and I had 3 pieces of luggage to carry up the stairs with no light and no assistance. When I entered the room it was in a shabby state and did not look like an executive suite with damaged carpet and the bathroom looked like it needed a good clean with bleach. Generally I was very disappointed. I asked the staff to change my room and with huge difficulty they finally changed the room and informed me that the new room was a down grade from the executive suite. The new room was at least cleaner than the original room and the carpet was in tact ie no visible tears or damage, unlike the original room. The staff made me feel very uncomfortable about asking for the room to be changed and kept advising me that the room was a down grade from the executive suite and they were fully booked and made me feel like I was causing them a huge inconvenience. I won't be coming back and will advise my family and friends of my bad experience. Kind regards ASMA
Breakfast was awful. Far too expensive for what it was.
The location; the power of the shower; the price whilst not cheap it was reasonable for london. However I would not stay again, I would sooner pay a little more.
The air conditioning did not work; the twin beds were 2ft 6inches wide and very hard. The carpet is shredded; the paper falling off the walls; pee stained walls; chambermaid knocked on the door at 0800 hrs in a Saturday morning 'just to see if the room was empty' and proceded to do it to all the rooms on the run. I would not stay again.
