location was central hotel was clean bedroom was spacious room was quiet breakfast was excellent wifi available
difficult and complex road system definitely need a sat nav to find it decor was dated and in need of a refurbishment beds were old but comfortable not enough sockets to plug electrical items into wifi cut out a few times
Comfort of room. Easy enough to get into Central London despite the hotel itself being a little further out. Bed was very comfortable and we had a decent view from our room.
The room was very hot.
Price was OK
The summer quilts in winter I was freezing, hotel needs updating now, looks shabby in places.
Location and price
Really needs a total refurb!
Staff were very rude
Location for the 02 arena
We received a complimentary upgrade which would have been amazing if the room wasn't tired and rundown.
Wish it would have been more updates, sofas had tape holding them together, pain falling off walls, bath broken
the bed some of the staff were nice
their new rooms without windows - I had to ask them to change my room as it was depressing and still stinking after builders. I don't know what is their senior management smoking, but it's not a good idea (especially in Canary Wharf with the views).
We liked the smoking room and eating pizza in bed, delivered so quickly by room service :))
Google led us in the wrong direction
I love my bath. The towels look cream yet they are white you could improve on that.otherwise the bath and shower are good
Musty smell in bathroom
The view after dark
everything else. Room and facilities may at best be classified as 3star. Breakfast appalling, grubby, and only fit for tradesmen. As seen in the dining room a plasterer walked in in shorts and tea-shirt, covered in plaster bits all over his clothes and legs. Is that hygienic? The staff in the dining room spoke very little English and didn't care less about standards of the service, food or drink. We will not be staying again or recommending it. A shame really as with purposeful and positive management in such a prestigious location it could be a huge success, but not as it is at present.
Britannia hotel is great for the Docklands area and is in easy reach of the centre, It has an individual character (not like a modern 'cardboard box') and is clean and comfortable. Restaurants and bars are good. I always like staying there if I have to come to Canary Wharf. I like the walk along the water to it - and I like it's 'cosmopolitan' ambience. Stall are always friendly and helpful.
There is nothing I don't like!!
Very tired hotel, beds far too small (2'6" each). Dirty bedroom carpet. Parking very difficult for wheelchair user. Booked a disabled room but one was not available when we arrived. Furniture in bedroom in very poor condition. No apologies and no choice.
A run down grubby hotel in every respect
Great location, used the hotel on many occasions
Dated deco, could do with a upgrade
Staff attitude Location Indian restaurant Value for money
Aged rooms and decor Constant damage to outside of hotel
Location was local to Canary wharf and tube access. Rooms were decent size but finish of rooms were dated and a bit tired.
Generally an older hotel requiring a bit of modernisation and/or a lick of paint to take away some of the dingyness. Reception were unhelpful with requests.
cheap motel type feeling poor facility maint.
Reasonable place to stay fairly close to transport links
Fixtures & fittings looking a bit tired that gives more of a 3* impression than 4* Limited room service menu
Cold in the bar
The food was good in the restaurant.
There was a lump in the mattress. I reported it, but nothing was done about it.
great for canary wharf, staff very good.
its petty but the heating system was quite loud at night
Breakfast really poor for a 4 star hotel
Reasonable price for London
Tired hotel, room with noisy air conditioning plant outside and car park was underground, difficult to park and expensive
