Great Location, good food and bar service. Wi Fi excellent. Staff very friendly.
Hotel looks old.
Nothing to dislike
Price of a breakfast bit expensive
My friend & I had a pleasant stay, good location.
Hotel needs updating, sofas on bar area ripped & worn, windows were dirty.
Excellent location, quick check in, lovely big room with lovely view.
Warm was far too hot, air con seemed to blow out warm air after a while. Apart from that was no problem
Very nice warm, comfortable room.
price was good room was clean
reception staff not good breakfast area and other restaurants furniture is below standard carpits are not good
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the view from my bedroom window. The restaurant facilities were of a high standard. I was pleased, it's located so near to the train station, five minutes walk. Our stay was comfortable, thank you!
Staff were very friendly and polite and very helpful
- very nice hotel lounge - acceptable breakfast buffet - my room got upgraded and what the gave me was extremely warmth and comfortable
- terrible gym and spa facilities: they are rather spacious and they could have known much better times, but they looked in such a deteriorated state. Sauna had not been working for a while, and I decided not to spend much time there, because visitors were all males, and they seemed to be cruising around.
Birthday treat! The wife loved it.
I always book my colleagues and visiting colleagues into the Britannia and the comments from them are that the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Cost = £128.00 for an ok room - but it was near a lift, so noisy, but also the bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. Definitley not worth £128.00 per night. But for that evening - convenience won over.
Mice, moths, filth, old power sockets, noise, dirt, expensive cold food after 2 hours, high prices, no safe no fridge or mini bar. Not enough light, idiotic TV placement. Filthy walls.
location was central hotel was clean bedroom was spacious room was quiet breakfast was excellent wifi available
difficult and complex road system definitely need a sat nav to find it decor was dated and in need of a refurbishment beds were old but comfortable not enough sockets to plug electrical items into wifi cut out a few times
Comfort of room. Easy enough to get into Central London despite the hotel itself being a little further out. Bed was very comfortable and we had a decent view from our room.
The room was very hot.
Price was OK
The summer quilts in winter I was freezing, hotel needs updating now, looks shabby in places.
cheap. Good location near canary Wharf
decor is 1980's. so bad some of you might like it! just awful taste. loud carpets. cheap pictures screwed to wall (theft risk is low, believe me). furniture. ...... oh god the furniture. staff were nice. This is English hell. good value if you are just looking for a base or are a serial killer.
Got the room half price. Good breakfast.
Hotel was dated.
Location and price
Really needs a total refurb!
Staff were very rude
The hotel position was only short walk from DLR and Jubilee Line tube stations.
The whole hotel is stuck in late 80's decor and that was probably the last time it had been refurbished. Stayed in an executive suite on 11th floor. Room size was nice and large. The furniture was tacky and very tired looking. All gold finished handles taps in bathroom etc the metal work was pitted and colour coming off. The enamel in Jacuzzi bath was worn through and cracked in places. The room had large table in it..why? Although tv was a reasonable size it was so far from bed that it was hard to watch anything on it. Bed was hard and lumpy. .and as for the breakfast. I was not impressed. Having beem warned that it would be buzy after 9am.. everyone came down between 8:30 and 8:45am. Long queues developed for buffet style breakfast..but it was not worth the wait.. whilst staff tried to keep items topped up..what was on offer was very dissapointing. Stale croissants. . Lumpy tasteless scrambled eggs were inedable. Poor quality ingredients spoilt the breakfast completely. Tasteless sausages tinned mushrooms. .only the items freshly cooked like the fried eggs stood up to what I was expecting. The roadside cafe style large sauce dispensers and the catering tin jam and marmalade just tipped onto plates summed it all up! I have stayed at far better Premier Inn Hotels and have had lovely breakfasts at a fraction of the cost of one night stay here! My recommendation is find another hotel! Spoilt a 60th birthday weekend completely!
Location for the 02 arena
We received a complimentary upgrade which would have been amazing if the room wasn't tired and rundown.
Wish it would have been more updates, sofas had tape holding them together, pain falling off walls, bath broken
