stunning hotel! absolutely loved the chandelier in the entrance and the majestic staircase. Stayed in a junior suite and was excellent value for money and would definitely recommend and intend to visit again. Great location, friendly staff and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
more tea and coffee in room - only minor thing and did not really affect the enjoyment of the visit.
The location and staff are amazing.
Dirty, stained walls, extremely slow wifi.
Comfortable and large room, with a window that opened!
The first room I was given was small and stank of cigarette smoke. Disgusting. However, on complaining I was promptly given another.
location and warmth of the room
no window in the bedroom and it was very hot and no fresh air
Price/location .Clean non tatty room little noise from outside room or road.
My companion is wheat intolerant-didn't spot anything gluten free on restaurant menu.
Well positioned in central Manchester with spectacular staircase in a converted cotton warehouse. One relabel which was a pleasant surprise in a comfortable bar. breakfast was buffet style but good nevertheless.
Small executive double is barely adequate for one provided that you do not intend to do any work, No hot water in the morning. large window with tiny opening allowing minimum of ventilation. Exceedingly well packaged tiny soup tablet which I did not succeed in opening!
WIFI + BED
Nothing will not stay at a Brittania again
Facilities somewhat tired
Good value for money considering its location, with easy access to chinatown and major shopping areas in the city centre.
The wifi was free but terribly slow. Connection was inconsistent.
I travelled by train for an appointment at 2 o'clock When I made the booking I mentioned that my time of arrival would be about 1pm. I was not allowed a room until after 2pm. I therefore could not book in until after my eye operation at 7 pm .found this most inconvenient and frustrating. It is the only hotel I have stayed in that this has happened. I use hotels 2-3 times a month for business
I find this is an excellent place to stay for a night out in canal st. And shopping. Just because of its position. Have enjoyed every stay.
The hotel bar shut at 2a.m.
the staff were so helpful and friendly
Location, location, location! Very close to the city centre and transport. Free WiFi too!
The hotel needs slight renovation in some areas.
1. Location of Hotel is good in Manchester City Centre 2. Staff were very accommodating for me to change room from front of hotel to the back.
1. Price paid for 2 nights was £320 including Breakfast -expensive ! 2. Standard of Executive class room was poor. Decoration was old, stains in wallpaper, carpet worn, windows do not shut properly. 3. Shampoos, shower gels for 2 people are too small - only one tiny tube of each. 4. Wi-Fi was very slow - almost not working. 5. Hotel is in real need of refurbishment
location and services
the room was very small and in 5th floor
The entrance is very oppulant but misleading to the rest of the hotel experience
Disabled access appauling, the lift very slow and for the amount of room unacceptable. the standard of food for breakfast was very poor
Clean bathroom and lots of hot water for a nice bath. Good sized room.
Bed wasn't the comfiest, tv was old & dated and remote didn't work properly. Couldn't get into my room as keycard wouldn't work, so night manager had to come up and let me in.
Large rooms. Comfortable beds.
Convenient location, but situated next to a night club / bar.
Loud noise continued into night from club, room had been accidentally cancelled when I arrived, people vomiting in lobby.
phone not connected wardrobe doors would not open bathroom tap loose carpet threadbare
Hotel location was perfect for shops,Xmas market and train station, just sorry are stay wasnt longer.
Price too much. Room dirty and old. Matress very poor quality, bed looked like it had been built out of old wood
Room was very noisy because of air conditioner which cannot be stopped! There wasn't a window in the room.
Location is good
The phone wasn't working so we couldn't contact reception The room has only got 2plugs, it was not. Clean, the view was rubbish the staff was rude and not value for money at all
